This company placed gutters on my roof. The way that they angled the gutter caused shingles to pull up. I asked them to adjust the gutter and give me an estimate on fixing the roof. They gave me no estimate and started immediately …

UPDATE AFTER BUSINESS RESPONSE: This was not a disagreement about concealed conditions. The issue is that no additional cost was presented or approved before the work was performed. The repair was completed on March 9, and I was first notified of any additional charges on March 11, after the job was already finished. That timeline is documented in your own text messages and emails. There is no room for interpretation. Your contract states that adjustments for concealed conditions require notice to the customer. That did not occur prior to completion, and no change order was agreed to before the additional work was performed. Your response also does not address the email presenting two “options”: pay the disputed amount, or face a significantly higher retroactive charge for work already completed, work that same email described as a “courtesy.” That sequence speaks for itself. This is why I raised concerns about how the billing and change-order process was handled. I stand by the documented facts in my review. Westfall performed work I did not approve in advance, billed me after the fact, and told me my “options” were to pay for work outside the agreed scope or face a much larger retroactive charge for work they had already completed and previously described as a “courtesy.” I ultimately settled to close the dispute, but I do not believe the additional charges were handled properly. I hired Westfall for a roof repair at a fixed price of $1,175. The signed scope included wood repair, flashing repair, stucco work, and up to one sheet of plywood. Feb 28: I was told there would be an additional charge for stucco, even though stucco was included in the signed scope. No agreement was reached, and the crew left. March 9: The repair was completed. No additional costs were presented or approved before the work was performed. March 11: I received a text stating additional issues were found and that an added charge and change order were needed. This was the first time any

Tim, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We regret that this repair experience did not meet your expectations. On repair work, roof repairs can occasionally reveal concealed conditions once work begins, and when that happens, the scope, materials, and labor required can change from the original estimate. Our intent is always to complete the repair properly and communicate any necessary adjustments as clearly as possible. In this situation, we understand you disagreed with the handling of the added work and related billing. While we may see certain parts of the timeline and scope differently, we do recognize that you were unhappy with how the additional charges were communicated, and we worked with you to bring the matter to a resolution. Westfall has built its reputation on standing behind its work and treating customers fairly. We take concerns like yours seriously and use them to improve our communication and documentation processes.

We selected Westfall Roofing to do our roof based on the wonderful Google reviews. If we were just talking just about the roof job itself, I would give them five stars. HOWEVER, ours turned into a 4 mo. long frustration! 1) We previously had installed brand new skylights by another company. When Westfall was removing our old roof, the crew scraped too aggressively and too close to one of the skylights and shifted it out of position, which then broke the drywall inside, and VOIDED the new skylight warranty! 2) In trying to fix the inside drywall from the outside, WITHOUT our permission, this crewmember actually FULLY removed the skylight! We were utterly shocked and furious not knowing what further damage this did to the skylight and its seal. Needless to say the drywall work had to be done from the inside and it took about a month to get a person here to do it. 3) When the crew was removing their equipment from the roof, they lost control of their air gun and it’s bronze attachment swung outward off the roof and then back, breaking our front dining room window! Once again our supervisor contact was inconsistent with callbacks, and when we finally reached him, he kept saying none of the window places would call him back. After several weeks of this, we took it upon ourselves to get it fixed. We made one phone call and the window guy came the same day, measured it, and replaced the broken dining room window. If someone doesn’t call you back after day one, call the second guy; if they don’t call back the next day, let the client know on day three. Ridiculous to wait 3 to 4 weeks for this to get fixed! 4) Westfall was to repair our chimney, but they did not communicate well with their stucco guy re. where the stucco should stop, so the the stucco guy brought the stucco up too high and then Westfall had to saw it back down to make room for the metal chimney top attachment, as well as cut out a new vent. This created a huge white stucco dust cloud that went over all t

I used westfall after hurricane Milton. My roof needed replacing. All went smooth in processing and with insurance except I was clear to not damage or destroy my solar heating system. Well, it was thrown away and my pool motor was disconnected. After back and forth I was told that my heater would be replaced at no cost. I have voicemails and texts. Also, please note that the trim soffits being replaced are not covered. Also the wood sub boards are not covered. I ended up paying for those plus over $7000 for my heater that was thrown away. Had I known it would not be included I would have just canceled the heater. I ended up paying almost $14,000 out of pocket on my insurance claim. That is a ton. It took 2 months for my heater to be replaced . I feel jaded but my time is very valuable. I am a man of my word in business so I would unfortunately not recommend them unless you are super vigilant with your contracts. The roof itself looks fine.

On 2/8/25 I signed a contract with Westfall roofng for a metal roof installation. After several different companies came out to provide estimates I chose to sign a contract with Mike from Westfall Roofng. This contract included total roof replacement, gutters and soffit including plywood tear out of original soffit and replacement of any fascia. When the process of our roof replacement was started, the guys that were on the job were sitting in our lawn chairs in our back yard drinking alcoholic beverages. We later confirmed this by finding a Modelo beer in an orange glove inside one of my hanging plants in the back yard. When we presented this to a supervisor, Buddy, he reported that this is not something that they allow and took the bottle with him. We also sent pictures to Buddy and my husband walked the perimeter of the home with him addressing concerns in the wood along the fascia that we were told would get fixed with the gutter install. This was never addressed again. After the roof was installed, we found a handful of nails in our yard, and a family member visiting us got a nail in their tire from our yard. We also found that our vent for the microwave was not connected properly and had it fixed by another company. When the Soffit and Fascia were scheduled, the plywood was not replaced/removed under the soffit but left to rot and mold under the new soffit as the new soffit was placed over top of it. The gutters were installed, but the pitch was incorrect and accumulated rainwater in the corners not allowing for proper drainage, they also damaged the drip edge of our roof during install of the gutters. We spoke to about 5 different "supervisors" (Chaz, Nolan, Buddy, Brian, Trent) and had several people out to our house. There are multiple issues that need to be addressed, and this company lacks the ability to address our concerns from day one. I do not recommend this company. They lack respect for their customers homes and are completely unprofessional in their

If you have people driving your company trucks, you need to make sure they are obeying the rules of the road. Whomever was driving at the light off Bellamy Brothers and state road 52 in Pasco county at 5:20pm needs to have their license revoked. They decided they didn't want to wait in line at a backed up light, and cut into the turn only lane, in order to force their back back in, further up at the light. That's rude, and a danger on the road.

From my estimate appointment with Todd to Melissa always keeping me updated on the process to Juan making sure our roof replacement went smoothly and on time, I cannot recommend them highly enough. The crew worked nonstop and finished in one day. They did not leave any debris behind and our new roof is beautiful. Thank you!
