About Roof Warden

An independent directory of roofing contractors, built around the one number a search result won't show you.

Last updated August 2026

Roofing is a trade where the gap between a good job and a bad one is measured in years and tens of thousands of dollars, and where the worst outcomes cluster after storms — when homeowners are choosing quickly, from whoever knocked first. The information that would help most is public, and nobody presents it in a form that helps.

We list 26,433 roofing contractors across 62 US states and Canadian provinces. For each one we show the complete distribution of its Google ratings rather than the average, put the critical reviews at the top of the page with the business’s replies beside them, and state clearly what we have not checked.

How we make money

We currently don’t. There is no advertising on this site, no paid placement, no sponsored ranking and no lead selling. No business can pay to appear here, to rank higher, or to have a review taken down. If that changes, it will be disclosed on this page before it changes, and it will never affect ordering.

What we are not

We are not a licensing body, an insurer, an accreditation scheme or a complaints authority. We do not inspect work, mediate disputes, or verify licenses, bonds or insurance — and we say so on every profile rather than leaving the absence to be interpreted. How we read reviews sets out the method and its limits in full.

Getting things wrong

A directory this size gets things wrong. Businesses close, move, change name, or get confused with a similarly named one on the other side of the state. If you find something incorrect — whether you own the business or not — write to team@roofwarden.com and we will correct it. Corrections are free and we do not require anything in return.
