  We had a very disappointing experience with this roofing company. We paid a significant amount of money expecting quality work and honest communication, but instead we were met with a complete lack of transparency. One of our biggest concerns is that the money we had to cover window code updates was used for the roof without our knowledge or approval. These costs were never clearly explained or discussed with us beforehand. We believe homeowners deserve to know exactly how their money is being spent, especially on unexpected expenses. When we called the company seeking clarification, instead of providing answers or addressing our concerns, we were simply told they would contact the lawyer they had originally recommended to us. Rather than resolving the issue directly, they redirected us to legal counsel, which only increased our frustration. Clear communication, accountability, and transparency are essential when making such a large investment in your home. Unfortunately, this company failed to provide those basic standards. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend them and encourage others to ask detailed questions, request everything in writing, and carefully review all charges before proceeding. God knows the sacrifices and hard work of our family to make sure our home is a safe place for us. The fact that they took our money that was given by the insurance to fix the window and used it towards the roof, says right there how much they don't appreciate customers and play with their money and time. Meanwhile we will go all the way where we have to go to recover our money. This is just one step to alert homeowners!

  We understand your concerns regarding this matter and want to address them thoroughly. You reached out to us on May 20th of this year, two years after your roof was completed. We promptly initiated an investigation into your situation and directed you to your attorney for more details regarding the disbursement of funds. It's important to clarify that we had no control over the allocation of funds. The amount we received was solely for the roofing work performed. As a company subjected to audits by the insurance committee, we cannot keep any funds that do not rightfully belong to us. On May 26th, 2026, you had a direct conversation with our company president. During this discussion, you mentioned that you would review the settlement breakdown provided by your attorney with your wife before getting back to us. For us to receive any payments, you must approve that settlement. It details all fund allocations and disbursements. Our president even offered you her direct line for any follow-up, but unfortunately, we did not receive any further communication. We made several attempts to contact you the following week but were met with silence. Now, two months later, we see you've left a negative review about your roof installation. We kindly ask if you have settled your claim, as your remarks suggest serious accusations regarding our retention of funds that do not belong to us. We encourage you to review your settlement or reach out to your attorney for clarification. Please remember that our responsibility was limited to the roofing portion, and our payment was specifically for that work. We are committed to resolving any misunderstandings and look forward to your response.

  Do NOT use this company if you want your roof to last. I replaced my roof a little over 5 years ago with them (guarantee is 5 years) and now I need my roof replaced again. Nail pops all over. Leaks and overall poor quality. I called them to come over to do the repairs as my homeowners policy was going to cancel and they wanted to charge $1,000. When I called back to speak with a supervisor/owner...NO communication. No one showed up for the appointment.

  We have a 5 year warranty on our roof and reached out to them and got nothing but a run around all for them to say it’s nothing they can do We reached out by phone,email within the year of them installing it also the time frame for labor warranty up until last month still nothing resolved .They poorly installed the shingles ,boards and frame with huge spaces , nails coming through the board, they was paid to replace roof and rotted wood that’s causing the issue at hand which clearly they didn’t . First they said they weren’t the ones that did the roof until I showed proof with photos of their guys then it was because of the foundation then it was excuses after another .They came out took photos then don’t return calls then come back out to see the issues just as worst once I called again . The lady wasn’t aware I’ve been calling for over a year of the same issue I would never recommend this company to anyone we been in our home going on two years it’s no way the roof should be in this condition 5 star roofing should be held accountable and fix the issue vs telling us what we can do to fix it . Y’all got paid for a poorly job.We will be looking further to make them accountable until they resolve this issue

  We understand your concern and doubts about the roof warranty. We have addressed this issue with you on several occasions. We replaced all rotten wood found at your property (which was not owned by you at the time of replacement) to bring it up to code. Pictures can be provided upon request. The current damages are due to weather exposure and the unsealed wood surface of the area. In that case, we are not liable if the previous owner failed to take appropriate protective measures on the replaced wood, such as priming and painting. We take these matters seriously and are committed to addressing your concerns. We hope that this clarifies any doubts you may have.

  Felt like I was repeatedly forgot about an past around. Very little/poor communication. Process took almost 10 months. Had to make some of my own repairs because it takes weeks for someone to get out to make them.

  They came highly recommended but I've tried calling and emailing for a week and only get a recording that the voice mail isn't availalble and no response to my email. I guess it is better to figure out their level of service before hiring them.

  Thanks for doing my neighbors roof at 6:15am (earlier than Pasco County’s noise ordinance allows) and getting shingles and metal in my back yard. The least you could have done is knock on my door and offer to clean it up.

  I can’t say enough good things about Jason Nieto in the Orlando office, his crew, and Five Star Roofing and Construction. From beginning to end, Jason was professional, dependable, responsive, and, most importantly, honest. His crew worked extremely hard on our roof, treated our property with respect, and did a beautiful job. They put in long days, paid attention to the details, and left us with a roof we are extremely happy with. What impressed me even more was Jason himself. Any time I had a question or concern, he was available and willing to help. He even came back personally when we had an electrical issue after the job and helped us figure out what was going on. Then came something that really showed me the kind of person he is. Our job included replacement lenses for our eight sun tubes that, after inspection, turned out to still be in excellent condition and did not need replacing. Jason contacted me on his own, explained the situation, and offered either to have them replaced anyway or refund us the cost. We chose the refund rather than disturb a brand-new roof to replace something that didn’t need replacing. That kind of honesty is becoming harder and harder to find. There are plenty of companies that can install a roof, but finding someone who combines excellent workmanship with integrity, communication, and genuine concern for the customer is something special. I would recommend Jason and Five Star Roofing without hesitation to anyone in the Central Florida area looking for a roofing company they can trust. We are extremely pleased with the entire experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to call Jason again. Five Star Roofing absolutely earned ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  Omar Tourres is great. He is very knowledgeable, professional, and goes over and beyond in doing his job. Their lawyer dealt with my insurance company and won for me in getting a new roof. I did not have to pay anything, just my deductible. The workers were great and very hard workers. They did a great and professional job. They worked the entire time. they took a small lunch break and then back to work. They cleaned up and made my house outside look pristine. They ran a machine over the lawn and driveway to make sure no nails were on the property. I highly recommend Five Star roofing. I am very pleased with the quality of the materials ( shingles , underlayment etc.) and the superior workmanship. Thank you Five Star Roofing.
