  If the contact before the sale is as abysmal as the service after the sale, the God help 'em. My wife and I need a new roof on our rental home. Becky called and left a VM to call back. When I did, the call was answered by another lady. I asked that before anyone goes to the property, I had some questions that I needed answered. She said that she could answer them. When I asked the questions, her only response was that the evaluator would answer my questions once he went out to visit the home. (Please note that my question revolved around thing like was is the best roofing material that they might recommend, how may plywood sheets are complimentary, do they examine the flashing, etc.) Of course, she could not answer them. The purpose was just to get a assessor out to the home and then he would tell us what he wants us to know after he has looked at the roof. ABYSMAL Customer Service before the sale is typically an indicator of the customer service after the sale (i.e. once they have your money). Our request has been answered by well over six reputable roofers. After dealing with this customer service rep, I think MY WIFE AND I WILL PASS! BUYER BEWARE!

  The company has a good reputation, however does not hire quality, professional roofers. The roofers made a big mess on our property and did a subpar job on our home roof (sloppy workmanship) and scratched our windows when throwing down the shingles (not to mention damaging the siding and getting tar everywhere). They did address issues pointed out on roof however refused to address the windows. I was home when it happened and they were notified, however said that they had never heard of shingles scratching windows and that it was probably oak trees that did the damage. They didn’t even look. I even heard the supervisor yell out “Don’t hit the house.” We Tried to negotiate, however they were done with us and ready to put a lien on our farm if we didn’t pay the total balance. My inclination is that the people running the company are good, however they hire some very unprofessional and questionable roofers. Take lots of photos before they come because they will not believe you if there is damage otherwise.

It was our understanding that when we followed up on your experience everything was great, and there were no issues with your project. 3 months later, after some storms, we received a call that you had some damage to your windows, which were not present during our installation. Our manager has attempted to reach out and resolve any issues or concerns with our Roof installation, and final payment, in which there were none when we had communicated.   Doesn't look like this place was very safe I was scared for the workers on the roof didn't look like they were tied off not sure if they care about safety would never have them come to my house and put on a roof all because of their lack of safety Whoever has them come to their house I hope you have good insurance

  money for siding as promised never delivered, a/c covered with no knowledge of it conveyed to owners universal roof refused to take any responsibility. my cost $6,000.00 not a good deal for my family.

This project was an insurance project in which the siding had been left out of our original bid for you, therefore insurance would need to follow up on the siding payout and needs. We are sorry that your AC went out, and had heard about it a few months after we replaced your roof.   I don't know who wrote these good reviews but I have serious doubts. My own experience shows only a Roofer who took advantage of Hurricane Matthew to over-inflate prices. A small temporary tarp (6' x3') was paid $615. Done in 15 minutes by a handyman sent by the company, who did not even had a ladder. And for the replacement of 12 shingles, they asked for $1500. At this price, my whole roof would cost more than $200.000. I asked a competitor and had it done in 40 minutes for $300. I will never let this Roofer get close to my house again. Unfair practices!

  I would never use or recommend this roofing company to anyone! If you want your gutters bent, tar smeared on gutters, leak during install and your soffit and fascia destroyed call Universal Roofing Company.

  Would never use this company for any work. They are not upfront and honest. We called for an estimate to have rotten wood replaced under our vinyl siding. We explained in detail over the phone what we needed. They sent someone out the next day. The guy showed up and said "uh, so you want to look at getting new siding?". I explained to him that we had a few different places that needed the siding taken off and replace the rotten wood underneath. He responded he wasn't sure they did that. Yet, he's a salesman for the company and doesn't know what his company does? He called his manager and he also said they don't do that and we need to call a handyman. We called the company to complain about our experience and they said they can replace rotting wood, but "it's not the type of job they LIKE to do". Pretty much saying they'd only do it if we were replacing all the siding on our house. And then they decided to tell us they were booked solid for 3 months. Yeah right. They could have told us over the phone that they couldn't do it, rather than us wasting time off of work to not be given a straight answer. We have gotten a quote from them in the past for a roof leak repair and they had the highest price estimate, we will never call them again.

  We purchased a house in Jax Beach that needed a full roof replacement prior to closing, and David and his team made the entire process seamless. They were able to replace the roof within 48 hours of us reaching out, which was incredibly impressive given the tight timeline.   Repairs needed resulted from tree damage during inclement weather. David Alger facilitated not only a satisfactory repair but also provided significant documentation and professional advice that aided me with arbitration. Insurance company underestimated extent of damage, amount of material needed and listed material that did not meet Florida building code. David Alger offered his professional expertise with identifying these errors and resulted in my successful challenge to the insurance company during arbitration. A satisfactory financial settlement was reached. Thank you David and Universal Roofing.

  Great experience with sales rep Alex. He did awesome. The inspector gave issues which I understand why. We did have someone come back out to re-adhear the shingles in on area because they were lifting. They came back out and fixed it.
