I'll keep the review short and to the point. I hired Turtle for a full siding, gutter, fascia, and sofitt replacement. This is the experience I had with the crew they contracted with. Pros: 1. Fought to get more money from insurance. Cons 1. Terrible lack of communication from the top down to the ground. 2. Have you sign a contract right away that legally obligates you to pay them for work completed, even if their contractor did sub-par quality work. 3. Have to watch everything to ensure the extra work you pay for is done and done correctly before it gets hidden under siding. 4. Make sure they actually get required permits from the city instead of finding out after the fact from the city inspector that none were pulled. 5. Document EVERYTHING. Im glad I took hundreds of pics, vids, and recordings. 6. Damage to landscaping, windows on home, and foundation by the crew. Attached are a few out of the 100s of photos I took of the work that was done on my property, that was originally considered good, quality, acceptable work on my almost 70k home project. Again this is just my own personal experience with this company. We started out very excited with a dream project and ended with a nightmare experience.

Dustin, thank you for taking the time to share this. Our reputation and the quality of our work mean everything to us, and we take feedback like this seriously. Construction is inherently a messy process, but we pride ourselves on treating every home with the same care and ethics we'd want for our own. On your project, our team communicated with you frequently and continuously throughout to coordinate scheduling, updates, and follow-up work. This includes the owner, the sales rep, the quality control supervisor and the production manager. Additionally, we were on site with you walking through the intricacies of the project and going through each board with you in detail. In the end we came to an agreement with all of the touch-ups and their respective resolutions. A third-party James Hardie representative inspected the siding installation twice, once during installation and once after it was completed, to confirm it met manufacturer standards, which were agreed upon by all parties. Our crew returned to your property several times after the initial install to complete said follow-up items, including foundation repairs, pipe bracket repairs, siding corrections, etc. We also provided 20 bags of mulch to restore landscaping affected during the project and offered to replace the window, but the parties ultimately agreed on a credit towards the job instead. We document every job before, during, and after completion. The photos included with this review were taken mid-construction or before the final touch-ups were complete and do not reflect the finished product on your home. We also reviewed permitting requirements for this project with the applicable local authority, and none were required since no structural work was performed. This insurance claim started at ~$2,000 worth of miscellaneous siding, fascia, and other small line items and due to our inspections and documentation efforts ended at ~$67,000, including a complete exterior transformation. As you have tol

A solicitor claiming to be from this company came to my door and ignored the clearly posted "No Soliciting" sign. When I pointed it out, he left. Two minutes later, his partner, who had been standing there the entire time, rang the doorbell again and tried to continue the sales pitch. Ignoring a homeowner's clearly stated wishes once is bad enough. Doing it twice within minutes shows a complete lack of respect for people's time, privacy, and property. Based on this experience alone, I would never do business with this company.

    Reply from the business

Jeremy, thanks for the feedback, and I'm sorry for the experience you had. When a homeowner points out a sign or asks our team to leave, that should be the end of it, no exceptions. Having someone come back to the door minutes later after being asked to go is not how we want our team representing us. We'd like to find out who was at your door that day and address it with them directly. If you get a chance, give our office a call (or send us an email) with the date and general area, so we can look into it properly. Thanks for letting us know.

Terrible experience. Terrible. Bragged about their Google rating saying they are the best just to turn around and subcontract it out to a crew that did a bad job. They messed up my siding but they don't care. They promised to get my insurance to pay to paint the whole house " because that's the law" but it was not true. I should have used a local company.

Derek, we’re sorry to hear you feel this way. We take concerns about workmanship, communication, and homeowner expectations seriously. In this case, we do not believe your review reflects the full scope of what occurred. The siding concerns you raised were thoroughly reviewed, and although we believed certain conditions were pre-existing, we still completed repairs and replaced additional areas in an effort to address your concerns. We always strive to be transparent about the insurance process and to advocate for homeowners wherever possible, but final coverage decisions are ultimately made by the carrier. While we understand that appearance-based concerns can be subjective, we made multiple efforts to respond in good faith and work toward a resolution. We wish you the best moving forward.

The initial meeting was expressed the team would take care of insurance process and if necessary take care of appraisal process, the sales team pressured to sign contract before they could assist with damage and speak with insurance. Through the year long process, I had to be involved for a lot of the adjuster conversations, pay for appraisal and no credit was offered by Turtle. I paid a substantial amount out of pocket following appraisal and add on’s because apparently it wasn’t on initial inspection or being paid by insurance. False promises and I felt I had to push Turtle and insurance to move process along after 11 months of stress. Claim to take the stress away and only made it worse. Oh yea and had to pay to replace deck board by their install damage, screen door damage and rain sensor thrown away. Claim they gave me a discount at final cost and after I got deck replaced they aren’t sending a reimbursement check. More out of my pocket. Fixed roof over garage and couldn’t get a full roof replacement to match. Once again claim to take stress off customer and they would deal with insurance. Claimed they would assist with roof venting in attic, claimed their lawyers would make the process smooth. False. False claim by Turtle. I’m just glad to be done with it all. More money out of my pocket. Two stars because of the Positive to the crew that worked on my home over the year, they were timely, friendly and the manager of crew communicated daily on progress and next steps. Thanks Sammie.

Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your kind words regarding our installation crew, and we will certainly pass them along. We love to hear you were happy with the production team! Regarding the administrative side of the project, we feel it is important to provide context on the results achieved and what we can and cannot do. When this process began, your insurance carrier claimed you only had $3,000 worth of storm damages. Over the course of the year—and through the hard work of our team—we documented all of the storm damage to your home and were successfully able to prove your property had over $32,000 worth of storm damages, resulting in new siding for your entire home. We completely agree that it would have been amazing if insurance would have acknowledged the damage we noticed right away and we didn't have to continue to prove overlooked damage. However, unfortunately, their timely responses are out of our control. As we all discussed during the meeting with our company owner, there are limits to what a contractor can do without the policyholder's direct involvement when storm damage is overlooked by insurance providers. If that expectation was unintentionally misunderstood originally, we made several efforts with you to correct that expectation throughout the process. We understand this process is stressful, but your participation was necessary to get the results you wanted. We stand by the effort our team put in to prove a 1,000% increase in your claim value. Thank you for jumping in and helping where it was necessary to get this to the finish line! As for the appraisal, we communicated to you prior to you hiring an appraiser that we would not be able to cover that cost, because that is a contract between you and the appraiser directly. We gave the opinion that hiring an appraiser would likely bring a positive result to your claim. However, you made the decision to hire the appraiser on your own and signed a separate contract between just you and

We used Turtle Roofing to repair our roof, replace fascia and a couple of downspouts. The job was originally delayed multiple weeks because they forgot to send in the shingle sample they pulled to test and identify the type of shingle and didn't realize it until I called an asked for an update multiple times. With the exception of the fascia, I had to call them back for each repair to do it correctly. Even after the roof was fully "repaired" we have had shingles blow off in the repaired area multiple times. I picked them originally because they were a small, locally-owned company and I assumed they would take pride in their work but that is not what I experienced. I paid them to come out once to fix one area they had done previously since we had another area the did not work on that needed repaired. Now we have another row of shingles that blew off of the area they repaired originally with winds less than 30 mph and I have to look for another company to do the repair that will do quality work. While I understand that sometimes shingles don't fully seal when it is cold, the original job was done in early November before it got really cold and it can't be a normal expectation for shingles to blow off a repaired area not only once but twice.

July 31 storm damage roof and siding. Roof went up and was completed timely without issue. However when it came to the siding, it wasn’t completed until after Thanksgiving. Siding was 9 years old so it was alluded to we may have to go with all new siding around the house (which we wanted) however after a long delay they were able to find our siding in stock. Also we were told there is a chance they could replace a different side of the house as well that had damaged siding (which i would argue was partly damaged in the storm as well) and they would try to lump the cost in with the side that was considered storm damage, however that never came to fruition either, said it would be over $3000 extra to install siding on that side of the house. Multiple phone calls to office and siding manager were needed to finally get them out to install the siding on the storm damaged side if our house, and lack of communication was blamed on the siding manager changing roles with the company. Once siding was finally installed, they made a hole for an old coax cable that was for an old satellite dish that didn’t exist anymore that made no sense to cut a hole to stick the cable through as it clearly had no use. More calls to Turtles and after another month since installation our original rep said he talked to the owner about it and they will order extra siding so they can fix our issue with the cable. And now it has been 2 months since that exchange. Very poor communication on the company’s part and false expectations set. 1 star

We are so sorry this is how you feel the experience has been! We never want any of our customers to feel this way! Your special order siding has been ordered and we are just waiting on the manufacturer and distributor so we can make sure everything gets completed properly for you! We have tried to reach out but have not been able to get in contact yet. When would you be available so we can make sure we go through the game plan to get you taken care of how you deserve?

First contacted this company after the bad storms in summer of 2024. Ended up meeting with Jayden, who was very knowledgeable and great at providing answers to any questions I had. We ended up contracting with them to do our roof, gutters, and 3 sides of our houses siding. They began work in late September/October with the roof. They then did the gutters. About a week after the gutters were done I noticed an entire down spout missing, so I went to my roof to inspect the work and found that my gutter guards were also not re-installed. I contacted the company and they were very helpful with getting this taken care of. However, when their gutter crew returned they re-installed my old leaf guards, which were ripped off and broken by the roofers. I once again reached out, and this was fixed. So after 2 months we finally had the 3 days worth of work finished. Fast forward to this spring. It was finally decent enough out to do the siding. I spoke with their project coordinator who told me material would be delivered March 17th. On the 17th he calls and says there’s a delay but they’ll be out Thursday. I agree and say that’s fine. The next day (the 18th) I go to leave for work at around 6 am and find a random dude standing in my driveway to start siding. Poor communication and planning on their part as there was blizzard that Wednesday the 19th. They did not work the 19th and returned the 20th. I was home as my company vehicle was stuck about a block away. Then my Internet goes out. Turns out, the siding crew (which consisted of a single guy) cut the fiber cable going into my house. I called the company. Once again. And their resolution was to cover this months Internet bill which was better than nothing, but still insane due to the fact that we were without a basic commodity for 4 days because the guy cut it. After a week or so, the one guy siding crew had finished and there was nothing but quality control issues. Crooked recessed mounting blocks, jagged edge finish. Whole

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. First and foremost, we want to sincerely apologize for the issues you experienced throughout your project. While we’re glad to hear you found Jayden helpful and knowledgeable, and that our team responded promptly when contacted, we recognize that you felt there were points where we fell short—and for that, we apologize. We believe that taking care of our customers doesn’t end with the final invoice—it includes clear communication, consistent follow-through, and standing behind the quality of our work. It's clear you feel we missed the mark in a few of those areas during your project. We have no issue taking ownership and fixing anything that’s not up to industry and manufacturer standards. Thank you again for your honesty and please give us a call so we can get everything finalized for you!
