My girlfriend had Texas Family Roofing out after a leak in her house. Everything started out great. After we signed the estimate everything fell apart. The repair guy showed up late and looked like a guy off the street. It took him less than 40 minutes to do the work. That would be fine if it actually fixed the problem. Five days later it was still leaking. She called the office and this is where it got really upsetting. The guy who answered was so rude. He acted like she was bothering him. They set up a time to come out and check the leak out. Of course, they never showed up. Called back in to the office asking to speak to a manager and got nothing but the run around. I called three different times and the same thing was said. “They are not available and we will have them call you”. Never got the call. I decided to go by their office and speak to someone directly. After multiple attempts to get this problem resolved and nothing but excuses or the run around. We had to pay another company to actually fix the problem. Come to find out the sales guy missed the actual problem. No wonder why it kept leaking. Do yourself a favor and find a different roofing company.

These guys are a bunch of snakes. They keep trying to push through with a contract I've cancelled on and won't return my texts and basically are trying to pull a fast one and make me miss my grace period on my contract to cancel. I've told 3 different people with there company to cancel and it's the ol' "Oh right away. Yep will do" and then nothing happens besides them pushing onwards with their plan. I already cancelled it through GoodLeap on my end but they refuse to even acknowledge me through texts or even when they call me in hopes that I missed that 3 day grace period and left it up to them do to so. Don't hire these guys fellas. They're just gonna try to ignore you if you find a better deal elsewhere and hope they can pull a "gotcha" through their contract.

They charge $399 for roof inspections, but you won't be told that up front. The vast majority of roofers do not charge for inspections; that's how they are introduced to a potential customer. Called & made an appointment for a roof inspection & a young man took down detailed information & scheduled an appointment. No charge was mentioned. Then the owner, Paul, starts calling and texting with more questions. 24 hours later, he texts back saying there is a $399 charge for the roof inspection. No, thank you but you wasted my time and yours. It looks like the another roofer will get our business.

Not sure how their work is but just trying to set up an appointment for a quote was not good. After initial text they asked for my name, address, email, etc. after sending all that info no reply. When I text back they said they need that info again. Sent it AGAIN and they kept texting me to send the info to confirm the appointment. I legit sent a screenshot our texts, circled both times I sent the requested info and just told them to cancel. If it’s already going to be this hard I decided to try someone else.

Stay far away from Texas Family Roofing. They performed a full roof replacement on my home using expired materials, which caused leaks. They also failed to install a drip edge and did not follow building code requirements for the roof installation. Despite bringing these issues to their attention, they refused to correct the work. I am now pursuing legal action against this company.

We want to be clear that we do not and have never purchased reviews—our reputation is built on real customer experiences, and we stand behind the work we do. Hi Mr. Dunlap, My name is Paul, and I’m the owner of Texas Family Roofing. We did review your concern carefully and have time-stamped photos showing the gutter damage was present before our inspection began — prior to setting up our ladder. We truly value honesty and accountability, and if our team had caused the damage, we would have taken full responsibility. It appears the issue occurred during your insurance inspection, but I’d be happy to resend the photo documentation so you can see for yourself. Our goal is always to make sure you’re happy with your new roof and confident in choosing us. Please give me a call directly so we can get this resolved as soon as possible. — Paul Perez Owner, Texas Family Roofing

Many thanks and appreciation for the entire group at Texas Family Roofing. From the free estimate analysis and quoting process to the installation of our new roof they were exceptional. We had many quotes and estimates performed but we chose them because of their honest and transparent analysis. They didn’t speak down about their competition which I respected, they explained in great detail they have over 25+ years in the roofing business in CTX, their quality control measures, the materials they use, the warranties provided in workmanship and manufacturer’s material warranty, and the cleanup process. The crew performing the work was exceptional and even found a corrected a hidden problem with a birds nest in the duct work that would have been a potential fire hazard. Materials were delivered on time, crews were early and ready to go, and completed the entire installation job in one day. Honestly, their salesman Travis Kelly did such a great job presenting our options and even addressed (what others missed) the attic venting issues the decision to use Texas Family Roofing was easy and after the instillation was definitely made the right call. 5 stars from me and would recommend them for anyone considering a new roof!!!!

We had a great experience with this roofing company. The scheduling for a quote for a roof leak was quick and easy. Paul was professional, arrived on time, and communicated clearly throughout the process. He used a drone to inspect my roof thoroughly and completed the work with excellent attention to detail. I highly recommend!

Thank God for Texas Family Roofing, Travis was able to find the issue and sealed the cracks between 2 pieces of metal where rainwater was entering between the upper 1st level/lower 2nd level. Travis was very understanding of the frustration I was dealing with. There was a leak in my ceiling but could not find the cause. I had 2 other roofing companies do inspections for this same leak but they were not able to find the cause. And my suspicion of the same area where the leak originated I was told by the Rhino Roofers that it looked sealed… so, I will depend on Texas Family Roofing if I ever need to call a roofing company again… and if any of my friends or colleagues need a roofing company, I recommend TEXAS FAMILY ROOFING.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with Texas Family Roofing! We’re truly glad Travis was able to locate the source of the leak and properly seal the cracks between the metal sections where water was entering. Situations like hidden leaks—especially when they’ve already been inspected by multiple companies—can be extremely frustrating, so it means a lot to hear that we were able to step in and finally identify and resolve the issue. At Texas Family Roofing, we take pride in thorough inspections, clear communication, and making sure we don’t just treat symptoms, but find the real cause of the problem. We’re especially happy to hear Travis helped ease your frustration and provided the support you needed throughout the process. We truly appreciate your trust and recommendation to friends and colleagues. That kind of confidence means everything to our team, and we’re always here if you ever need us again in the future.

Travis, the salesman, was very nice, knowledgeable, and responsive. We felt confident moving forward after our initial conversations. He inspected our roof on April 10th and prepared the plans. Elvin came out on April 22nd to complete the work, but we later discovered the job was not completed according to the plan and contract. A return visit was scheduled for April 24th, but no one showed and we received no communication. After I emailed at 5:00 PM asking for an update, Matthew called six minutes later explaining they were delayed on another job in Canyon Lake and would not make it out. Matthew rescheduled for April 25th between 1:00–3:00 PM. Again, no one arrived during that time and there was no call or message. Elvin eventually arrived at 4:25 PM, but the job was still not fully completed. However, the company was quick to request payment. On April 28th, Travis returned to inspect and tried to help resolve the issues. He discovered the wrong color shingles wasn’t available, so the remaining work could not be completed that day. We were told someone would return to finish the job, but by May 5th we still had received no call, text, or email. Elvin eventually showed up unexpectedly at 3:33 PM. He stated he hadn’t rung the doorbell because he didn’t see any vehicles outside. However, some people park in their garage, and he had rung the doorbell during a previous visit, so that explanation didn’t make much sense. Another concern was the way the ladder was placed directly on our gutters without a guard. I mentioned this several times, and we now have scratches and indentations on our nice gutters. I also brought this issue to Justin’s attention on June 8th and did not receive a response until I contacted Travis, and then Justin followed up. We were told Yambe from the warranty department would contact us after completion, but after more than three weeks we still had not heard from her. So I reached out. Nothing.. So I contacted Travis via text June 3rd he exp

We recently had a roofing company come out to inspect our roof...since there were a few shingles in the yard. The company quoted us $11,000 for a total roof replacement. I informed them we would be getting a second opinion to compare their findings. Travis with Texas Roofing came out and told us the roof was still in good condition and only needed a few repairs costing less than $2,000!! I'm so glad we got that second opinion.
