My experience with this roofing company was disappointing. During the roofing project for our condo complex, sections of my roof/fascia were left exposed before the storm the morning of June 19. The damage was catastrophic; water came through multiple light fixtures, my ceiling collapsed, and my home became uninhabitable. I am currently displaced for the next several months. The aftermath has been incredibly stressful, requiring extensive remediation, repairs, and temporary relocation. I trusted that my home would be protected and the project would be managed appropriately while the work was being done, but that did not happen. A roofing contractor should take every precaution to safeguard a homeowner’s property, especially when severe weather is possible. I hope the company improves its planning, communication, and job-site protection so that no one else has to experience what I and many others did.

We recognize how incredibly stressful this situation has been for you and your family, and we're sorry to hear what you've been going through. The weather is unpredictable, and sometimes even the best preparation cannot prevent unexpected damages. What matters is what happens next. Plenty of contractors will finish the work, cash the check, and leave you to sort out whatever comes later. That's not how we operate. If something goes wrong, we stay on it until it's fixed. We can't control the weather but we do control how we show up and we'll be there until it's resolved.

The star rating has nothing to do with the quality of the actual work, since I never even had the chance to evaluate it. My rating is based entirely on the disappointing customer service I experienced. I scheduled an emergency tarping for my roof, and Sam Rogers assured me that the crew would arrive at my property no later than 3:00 PM the same day. He also stated that he would personally visit the property later to help identify any additional damage. However, at 2:36 PM I had to call him myself to ask for an update, only to be told that the team would not be coming after all and that the earliest availability would be the following day at 11:00 AM. For any business—especially one handling emergencies—communication and punctuality should be core values. Unfortunately, this company demonstrated a lack of both. I gave them an opportunity to earn my trust, and they fell short before the work even began.

Our buyers wanted a roof inspection from this company during their option period. The report came back recommending the entire roof (and all of the window screens and gutters) be replaced because “the extent of storm-related damages exceeded the realm of repair” and “the current roof would not be considered insurable.” This was a shock to us as a home inspection a few weeks prior had shown our seven-year-old roof to be in excellent shape, and there hadn’t been any big storms since then. We had another roofing company perform an inspection, during which they pointed out that the fence, satellite dish, and surrounding structures had absolutely no indication of being hit by hail. They said the small scrapes on the roof looked like they were caused by workers’ shoes – we had chimney repairs not long before – that could be easily fixed if we really wanted to replace those tiles. Otherwise they said the roof had several years left on it and no work was recommended except for the replacement of a single flipped tile for a few hundred dollars. T Rock Roofing and Contracting was obviously taking advantage of new home buyers, thinking they could scare them into paying a lot of money for a replacement that wasn’t necessary. Unfortunately many dishonest companies like this exist, and their shameful behavior is a reminder to always get at least two to three quotes for any type of contract work.

Thank you for your feedback. While we respect your opinion, we do not agree with your assertion and stand firmly behind our report and assessment of your home. Our report, backed by clear photographic evidence, accurately reflects the roof’s condition, showing aging deterioration and extensive damage. There are shingles damaged beyond repair with multiplie fissures and exposed gaping cracks larger than 6”. We do not provide unfounded reports, we simply provide photographic evidence. We do not pressure clients into unnecessary work. Our goal is always to provide honest assessments and help buyers make informed decisions. We wish you all the best in your home selling process.

We specialize in replacing roofs, not reading minds or managing personal belief systems. Our team is hired for their skills not their opinions. If there is something wrong with your roof, we’re happy to talk about that. Otherwise, we’ll assume your issue isn’t with our work - but a personal assumption that doesn’t affect shingles or structure. Best of luck finding roofers with the exact worldview you’re after!

This report is from the roofing inspector hired by our insurance company "Farmers Insurance" to inspect the NEW roof installed by T Rock Roofing & Contracting. This report is from an unbiased third-party. Date: 02/14/2025 Letter of Roof Condition A team member from Texas Roofing Pros - on the morning of February 7, 2025, at 12PM inspected the roof located on Glendale Street in Crowley. Upon inspection we found issues with the following new roof system: • 3/8” Sheathing/Decking is out of code. • 3/8” Sheathing/Decking is soft & weak. • Upon attic inspection the decking is cracked, broken & delaminated. (Delaminated: a situation where the plywood or OSB boards used as roof decking have started to separate at the layers). • The roof deck should have been completely removed & replaced entirely. The decking condition suggests that the shingles may not have been installed according to manufacturer specifications, which could void the shingle warranty. • **Recommend contacting manufacturer (TAMKO) and request a rep inspect install. • Reused the following items: Drip edge, wind turbines & versa caps. • Shingles installed without popping lines and therefore crooked and out of line. Popping lines helps to create visual guides for where each row of shingles should be placed, ensuring a straight and even appearance across the entire roof by maintaining consistent spacing and alignment between shingle courses; essentially, it helps the roofer install shingles in a neat, professional manner without drifting off course. We can estimate the current roof on Mr. Millers’ home to be 2 months old. There are multiple issues with this new roof installation, some visible and some issues are not visible. Feel free to contact Texas Roofing Pros for any photographic evidence or clarification of our findings. Roof Condition Summary: Needs immediate attention & repairs but recommend removing & replace. *There is not one area of this roof that has been installed that indicates a

Dear Mr. Miller, Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate you acknowledging Tate’s communication, as we always aim to keep our customers informed throughout the process. However, we’re disappointed to hear you were not satisfied with the workmanship. Before starting your project, we advised that your roof decking needed to be replaced to ensure a proper installation. You declined to pay for new decking, which directly impacted the final aesthetics. Despite this, we went above and beyond to provide significant upgrades at no additional cost to you. We upgraded your shingles from standard 3-tab to high-quality laminated shingles, installed durable synthetic felt instead of traditional 15lb felt, and added a starter course for enhanced wind resistance—improving both the performance and longevity of your roof. Even with these upgrades, we understand your concerns. That’s why we offered to come back, tear off the roof, and replace it again at no cost to you—you would only need to pay for the decking replacement, which was necessary for a proper installation. That offer still stands because we want to ensure your roof is built to last. Please feel free to reach out if you’d like to discuss this further. We’re happy to help.

We couldn't be happier with the service and work provided by T-Rock. We discovered roof issues during the sale of our home, we were in a time crunch, and we needed a company that would work with us in spite of us not buying a whole new roof from them. T-Rock was quick to respond, evaluate our roof and an inspector's report, walk us through necessary repairs, admin responded quickly any time we had a question during the process, our repair guy was friendly, professional, and hardworking, and the photos & report afterward show a pristine roof ready for the new owners. All of these things are very much appreciated, especially because most of this happened in the August heat on a dark roof in Texas. Their integrity, work ethic, and focus on customer needs inspire us to offer the highest of recommendations for T-Rock Roofing & Contracting.
