After the April 2026 hailstorm did a number on my house's aged roof, I reached out to a number of contractors for some estimates on a roof replacement, specifically looking at a metal roof, as I had decided early that this is not a process I wished to do more than once for this house. I had seen a couple endorsements of Swita Roofing online and also gathered one from a neighbor who had theirs done and invited them over for an estimate. From the get go, they moved the fastest and had one of the most competitive estimates, but what truly impressed me was the level of service and customer care Mike, Mary, and their foreman Raoul and his crew delivered. One anecdote is as follows - a couple weeks into June, I was surprised one day by the sudden appearance of a Redbox dumpster within my driveway, right before I was about to leave for work. Initially, I assumed that it had been scheduled by my contractors and that possibly things were moving forward ahead of schedule (which was indicated to be sometime in July). So I got in touch with Mary Swita and she checked to see if that was the case with Mike and Redbox, only to find it was not. At this point any other contractor, especially in a busy year like this, could have left the ball in my court to deal with, but Mary took it upon herself to dig to the bottom of this, and discovered that the dumpster wasn't intended for my repair work at all, but for a roof replacement for my next-door neighbor on behalf of an entirely different contractor! She got in touch with Redbox to make them aware of the error and they relocated the dumpster, saving both me and my next door neighbor a great deal of potential hassle and problems. During the actual roof replacement, Mike, Raoul, and their roofers worked quickly and diligently, and took great care to make sure my driveway was free and clear of any debris at the end of every day, and for the occasions when I had to move my car out of the garage as well. The only snag that was run into w

Mike, the owner, came to our home to speak to me and my wife about our options. We did not feel any pressure. There was no "this offer is good until I leave here" line. We were given a rough estimate on when the project would be done. The roof was installed on schedule, on time, and on budget. The crew cleaned after themselves after each work day. We picked a metal roof that (from a distance) looks like standard shingles. We have been very happy with how the new roof looks. Also had some nice compliments from our neighbors. Since it is hail damage resistant, our home owner's insurance gave us a huge discount (American Family insurance dropped my home owner's insurance by over 50%). That savings alone would pay for the roof over the next 20 years. Apparently, there is some savings on air conditioning cost, but will have to see next year. There is a bigger up front investment (compared to asphalt shingles), but if you like a good ROI, I think metal roof is the way to go. Swita metal roofing was a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend this company.

Having to get a new roof is a lot… having to figure out what’s actually necessary versus an upsell because you don’t know better is even harder. I can say with complete confidence that Swita felt like a real family group that wasn’t just …

Mike was one of the most responsive contractors we've ever had and was a joy to work with. He answered the phone while he was on vacation, honored a contract that was a few months out of date because we hadn't had enough cash at the time, and clearly communicated when there were isues and what kind of schedule they would be keeping. We love our new roof and are really grateful we went with Swita

Mike and his crew did a fantastic job. Very good with communication from Mike and from the crew re: length of time to complete and if they could work Memorial Day to get the job done. Very satisfied and would recommend Swita Roofing for any roofing (or siding, rain gutter) needs or issues.

Mike and his crew were excellent to work with. They were able to work with my solar company and help replace my roof on a tight timeline. They were great with answering my questions. The work itself took 2 days and they thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. I am very happy with my new roof. I was worried about the possible increase in noise with the new roof but have noticed no difference despite some major storms coming through Madison in the past month.

Getting roofing quotes in the Sun Prairie area and not sure how to compare them? That's one of the most common situations homeowners find themselves in, and it makes sense. Most people replace their roof once or twice in a lifetime, which means there's no real baseline for knowing whether a quote is fair, thorough, or missing something important. We put together a practical guide on exactly this: what actually drives roofing costs, what every estimate should include (and what low bids often skip), and why the upfront number is only half of the financial picture. The lifetime cost math, especially when comparing asphalt and metal over a 40-year horizon, tends to change how most homeowners look at the decision. If you're working through a roof replacement in the Sun Prairie or greater Madison area and want a straight conversation about your options, we're happy to help.3 days agoLearn more
