  We paid extra to have a ‘NC-standard fortified roof’ installed post Hurricane Florence. It had a 4 year warranty. In year 3 ½ it leaked. StormGuard Wilmington did all they could to help us get StormGuard Corporate to honor their warranty. Even though Mike assured us that StormGuard would “do the right thing”, he was unsuccessful. After 6 months of haggling with Corporate StormGuard, we spent another $6000 for a new back roof and filed a complaint with the NC Attorney General and Consumer Protection.Agency. We are awaiting StormGuard’s response.. We appreciated Wilmington’s support even though Corporare did not stand behind him.

  Hi Mrs. Gooch, the previous owner, Dennis Coffey built your roof. We are the new owners of Storm Guard of Wilmington and we did everything we could to help facilitate your communication with our corporate office and look into the warranty process. Based on what corporate identified as the source, it was not covered. Unfortunately, it was denied because of an aging solar tube seal, which was not roof-related. I'm sorry this has happened to you but again, there is no responsibility on our end and the issue identified by our corporate office was not roof related.

  They quickly came out to assess my roof issue. It has a small leak. They said they would provide a quote the next week. A week went by, I called for the quote. They said you'll get it in an email next week. Two more weeks went by, finally got the quote. I replied to the email that I want to get the repair scheduled. They never replied. So if you like wasting your time, then having to find someone else to come out, by all means use these guys!

  I wouldn’t recommend storm Guard or their subcontractors. Be careful with this company. There subcontractors are dishonest. They tried to over charge $800 for 6 panels of siding that came off during the storm.the job should have been no more than $250. I Did a price quote on the siding and it was $45 for a box of siding. They pressed for me to pay cash, so they can go get the material. After going back and forth with them they dropped the price to $450. I still chose to go elsewhere. One of the contractor said he needed the cash to put new tires on his truck to safely get around. Thanks Jason and jack with storm Guard for wasting my time and trying to take advantage of others. I will never use storm Guard or recommend them to anyone that needs roofing or siding work done. Take your money elsewhere.

  The Storm Guard team is amazing! Being locally owned and operated with a national backing makes working with them worry-free! The owners are very hands-on and Brett is fabulous! Getting a quote from them was simple and low-pressure and their work is high-quality!

  Storm Guard Roofing was absolutely top-rate! After the snowstorm, we discovered a leak and they came out immediately. They quickly identified the problem and fixed it right away.
