The roof and new gutters look nice, but ya'll left a mess and ignored repeated requests that you clean it up. Not recommended.
Reply from the business
We’re glad you’re pleased with the roof and new gutters, and we’re sorry the cleanup did not meet your expectations. We hope your move and closing went smoothly! Because of your closing timeline, we rearranged our schedule and moved your project forward to accommodate the requested deadline. Your gutter pickup is scheduled for today (Sunday). We do acknowledge that we should have communicated with you that the pickup would be completed Sunday, and we apologize for that lack of communication. We take responsibility for that. At the same time, we regret that you chose to leave a 2-star review before allowing us the opportunity to complete the remaining cleanup. We value our customers and always want the opportunity to make things right. We absolutely learned from this.

2 years later- update: The dryer vent was NOT installed properly and overheated my dryer significantly. I’m hoping no permanent damage. I reported, with photos, but there was no response from Stonewater. I have also realized that the ridge vent was NOT installed in my side roof, making the front workroom, under that roof, distinctly hotter than the rest of the house. I’m sure I paid for it. Really disappointed and would not use Stonewater again. From the initial visit to discuss the hail damaged roof to the new roof installation, Dusty Brooks walked me through the whole process. He was always accessible for questions, and answered honestly - if he didn't know, he called me right back. The most amazing customer service ever. Stonewater had one of the highest customer ratings in East Texas and carried the shingles I had researched as the best - GAF & Corning, which is why I initially called them, but the customer service from Dusty is what sealed the deal! I recommend Dusty without reservation.

Stonewater Roofing Review I will start with the positive. The roof looks great, and does not leak anywhere I know of. The actual roofing crew did an outstanding job. They drove from Tyler to Texarkana, 2 1/2 hours to do the job. And even though they worked past dark, they couldn’t finish it in one day…so they had to come back a second day and work 5-6 more hours to finish the job. Why? Because their crew wasn’t big enough to finish such a big job in one day, even as hard as they tried. They ended up working about 18 hours total. I blame Stonewater management for this issue, which is just a small part of their total ineptness. The roofing contract I signed with Stonewater started in January. We finally finished with the long drawn-out process of dealing with them in September…almost 9 months. And I realize some of the problem was with my insurance company, Farmers. But that is a whole other problem. Stonewater Roofing will tell you that you don’t have to do a thing, that they will work with your insurance on your behalf, and will accept what the insurance will pay. This is NOT the truth. This job cost me $10K out of pocket, over and above what my insurance paid. And insurance paid approx $20K. So this turned out to be a $30K roofing job. The first insurance check for $15K was paid on January 28. The actual roofing job was not done until May 8-9. Then, once the issues were fixed, the chimney cap finally replaced, a non-working, reused turbine vent replaced, and the final insurance check released, it was September. And I must add that I noticed and reported the reused turbine vent not spinning on May 25…it was finally replaced on Aug 11…6 1/2 weeks later. Another huge problem I had with Stonewater Roofing was their lack of transparency about costs. This wasn’t my first roof replacement, but I’ve never had issues like this before. Normally, you get an upfront quote from the roofing company & that’s your cost. Then it’s between you and your insurance co

Stonewater has been a pain in the rear since making the call. All started with Cameron coming, he was full of lies which i wont go into all the details. Said my roof would be done by this date. Wouldn't return my messages or answer emails. This all started on 10/22/22. Finally the co-owner Jacob Law reached out to me and started on my claim. Finally on December 6th the damage to my roof was complete, however, that was not the end. I still had damage to windows which stonewater was taking care of and with the windows there was a four week turn around time. The windows were finally installed on 2/6/23. Once they were installed I believe i sent them the last payment. (Alot has happened since then and i have change bank accounts to prove anything otherwise) With that being said I get a random email from Stonewater on On April 25 of 2024 saying I owe them $4,450.97. That would be 14 months that I went from not hearing from them to them requesting an additional large amount of money. I email back saying i think there had been a misunderstanding. I receive an additional email aprox 1.5 hour later saying no misunderstanding. After that I never hear anything until 11/11/2024 when i receive a phone call from Kimberly saying I owe them money and they want to give me a chance before sending it to collections. Stonewater has been a pain to deal with. Started with Cameron lying to me, Jacob took over and said what he was going to do, However 21 months after the work is complete i'm still dealing with them because of their bad bookkeeping. I'm trying to look at old records to see if they had been paid or not, however, it is hard since then I have switched banks and no longer have access to that account. Its bad bookkeeping that got me to this position and they act as if they could not have made a mistake

They repaired our hail damaged a few years ago. It took months of calling them to come out and repair the damage after we gave them the job. The roof looked very good, though. Now, a few years later, we had a tree fall on part of the house. We called them to come out and give a quote, and we have waited around for them to come out. The first time they did a surprise call, no scheduling, just called saying they were on their way and almost there! No one was home because no one told us Stonewater was coming. So, we told them we needed to schedule this in order to make sure someone was home. Next time, they call for the appointment reminder, saying they will be there later that day. My husband stays home from work, and no one shows up at all! Silence, not even a phone call to say they couldn't make it that day. We checked our home cameras just to be safe, and no one ever came at all that day. This has been going on about two weeks now. Today, we gave the job to someone else.

My mother had severe roof damage after the freeze in January, including a branch that came through the ceiling and has caused 10+ holes in the roof. She called stonewater as they had been very nice the previous year when doing a free inspection. However, this time is very different. Stonewater has already taken a payment yet no work nor materials have been started, delivered or even discussed. Then today she was told she would have to pay a bunch of stuff out of pocket that isn’t covered by her insurance claim, and most of the costs are ridiculous and unnecessary fees. I personally had 50k worth of damage to my home when we had the horrible snow storm a few years ago and the issue of having to pay a bunch of stuff out of pocket for an insurance claim was never an issue, but I guess that’s the difference between a horrible company trying to put extra fees in their invoice to drain their customers of money and a good roofing company that does their job and stays within their limitations as they knew what was covered from the beginning. What a joke, and my mother is still dealing with a roof that has multiple holes in it as we go into the rainy season. TERRIBLE COMPANY. Do not work with them unless you want to have your bank account drained. Edit: in response to the reply. Please don’t put words in my mothers mouth, as I have talked to her since I posted my original review. I am well aware you don’t have access to clients bank accounts and the comment was meant metaphorically. I am aware of the situation as I’ve been included in the process through my mother from the beginning and she has sent or spoken to me about all communications from your company/project managers. However, I’m glad my comments have seemed to have made some impact on getting the process moving as she was sent the estimate this morning, and her roof was finally scheduled to be replaced today too ironically. However, although I may not be a direct customer I am in constant contact with my mother and

Mrs. Sprayberry, all of our communication has been with your mother, not you, which may be why you are so off base and making completely false claims here. Yesterday we sent our initial estimate to your mom and the insurance company. This is called the supplement process. We work with every insurance company under the sun and within each of them are countless different adjusters. Additionally, all insurance policies are not the same. Due to these factors we estimate the same for every job. Some companies and policies cover different items than others. Within hours yesterday the adjuster responded with what was approved and what was not, to include an updated scope of work. Your mother was assured that there would be no additional out of pocket cost. In most cases, as long as the non-approved item does not pertain to a city code requirement we can simply update out scope to that approved by the insurance company. To be full transparent; once the project is complete there may be additional supplements sent to the insurance company for scope or items that were unforeseen until the roof was remove (example: additional layers of shingles or felt). This is the normal process for all projects pertaining to an insurance claim. We have your mothers work starting next week. We also do not have access to anyone's bank account to drain it nor would we charge to do any work not approved by insurance or the customer. This review should be removed as you are not our customer nor do you have all of the information that your mother, the customer, has. Your mother is a very kind lady with all of her wits about her. She was not even aware you were planning to go falsely bash a company online and has or plans to also ask you to remove this.

Wow! The roofers led by Samuel nailed it. The new roof is perfect. Equally important is that Samuel’s team built a temporary structure over our large large door garden. When we came back from vacation all the flowers & plants were undamaged. Jonathan, the project manager, was very helpful throughout the entire process - many in-person visits to ensure he understood what mattered to us & to help us to understand the three-way process between the customer, roofer, & insurance company. Great job by the Stonewater team!
