Called them, text and spoke with Raul Flores and asked him about getting my old master cooler taken off my house and put on my new master cooler that i bought and also told him I'm getting my roof replaced in the last week of February but needed to get that old rusty master cooler off my roof becuse it it leaking too much and I wanted it off A.S A.P..I also told him they would be replacing my roof in February too..Did not call me back at all and it has been 2 days so far(07/22/2026) And no call back at all..I called someone else to come out to do that job..I would not even given them a 1 star at all period..Very unprofessional company and they also just lost out on a $17,000.00 roofing job i had for them!!!Hopefully a lot of people read this review..Very bad customer service..

Okay, folks—here we go with another inaccurate review. Mr. Minton did reach out to us, and we responded right away he sent us photos and more information. First, why he would call a roofing company about an HVAC issue, I don’t know. We continued to be in communication with him the very next day when he followed up at 9:00 a.m. Where he is getting “two days” from is beyond me. I’ve now called him three times to discuss the matter, and he has not answered. I also looked at Mr. Minton’s Google profile, and apparently leaving one-star reviews is his thing. I noticed that he left another roofing company an almost identical review, so I called that roofer—whom I have now befriended—and asked about his experience with Mr. Minton. I asked whether he had anyone named “Raul Flores” working for him. He does not, and he has never heard of Mr. Minton. I believe him. Good luck to the HVAC contractor and roofer Mr. Minton ends up hiring. We are extremely grateful that our clients can see past these nonsensical and fake reviews. Again, to any potential clients reading this: We are the real deal. We offer legitimate warranties and are truly dedicated to educating our customers on the right way to do things. -Alex Ramirez

We're sorry to see this review. We are unable to verify this experience because we do not have a record that matches the details provided. We contacted the only Sandra Rodriguez in our records, and she confirmed she did not leave this review. We also take scheduling and communication very seriously. While an appointment may occasionally need to be rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, we always communicate with our customers, provide an explanation, and follow up with every estimate. To anyone considering Smith & Ramirez Roofing, we encourage you to evaluate our reputation based on our long history of serving homeowners in the El Paso area. Unfortunately, we have occasionally received reviews that do not reflect genuine customer experiences. While we cannot always determine their source, we remain focused on providing exceptional service rather than engaging in speculation. We are not a perfect company, but when mistakes happen, we take responsibility and work hard to make them right. Our reputation has been built on honesty, communication, and standing behind our work. Smith & Ramirez Restoration is proud to be the only GAF President's Club Award-winning Master Elite® Roofing Contractor in El Paso and the only FORTIFIED-certified roofing contractor in the region. We are manufacturer-certified to install every roofing system we offer, allowing us to provide manufacturer-backed workmanship warranties that no other roofer in El Paso can offer. The good reviews are just as deceptive as they are. They said not to worry about the insurance deductible, that they will simply overcharge my insurance to offset it. When I asked the legality of that, they said that what my insurance “doesn’t know won’t hurt them”. Red flag number one. I didn’t feel comfortable with that, so I decided to move forward with the claim and just pay the deductible. I paid over $6,000 two months ago and have gotten anything but excuses about why they can’t get started. But yet, I see their sales team soliciting my neighbors for more business. Stop being greedy and finish the work you started already! This is crazy that it’s gotten to this point.

Hello Sandra, I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced. After speaking with Britnay, she acknowledged that she made an error and failed to follow up with you as she should have. Unfortunately, she confused you with another client named Sandra. We deeply regret this mistake and will address it internally, as we have a zero tolerance policy on scheduling. I understand that you’ve already received an estimate from another company, but I’d like to encourage you to allow us to inspect your roof as well. I can provide you with a detailed estimate within 20 minutes of the inspection. Additionally, choosing us means you'll receive a Lifetime Material Warranty backed by GAF, along with a 25-year Workmanship Warranty(Golden Pledge Waranty) —an offer unmatched in El Paso. Feel free to follow us on Instagram @srroofing to stay updated on our daily projects and see examples of our expertly installed roofs. If you were looking for a quick repair, I’d be happy to take care of it for free. For any other potential clients reading this, I’m extending the same offer for shingle repairs of up to 10 missing shingles when mentioning this review. Lastly, I ask you to consider adjusting your rating. A 1-star review is typically reserved for much more serious issues like faulty installations, taking money without providing service, rude employees, or unresolved leaks—none of which reflect our business. While we dropped the ball on communication, we did not provide you with a service to judge us by. Thank you for your understanding. Best regards, Alex Ramirez

Let the pictures speak. Extremely unprofessional in every sense of the word. Was nothing but a major headache project lasted almost 2 1/2 months when they told me it would take 10 days and then they did this to my home and then denied it was them. I had to fight them tooth and nail, and finally got a little self help. I am not one to complain and give very few reviews, but I made the exception to help any others from being in this situation. There are so many better options you have if you need a roof, go there, save yourself from all the hassle from this extremely unprofessional company. I have to thank my attorneys for helping me on this but please beware stay as far away from this company as you possibly can.

Set an appointment for 9am today over a week ago and no one showed up. A first impression is a lasting impression so I guess what you can expect is that they won’t show up to do the job or disrespectful of your time that they don’t even bother to let you know they need to reschedule.

Ms. Gonzalez, Thank you for taking the time to talk with me the other day. -You're right we didn't answer your calls for bit. We were gathering information for context (being that Vena was hospitalized) before we could return you call, that took too long for that I apologize. -I dont think we lead you on, It was and still can be a laborious to communicate with any insurance company. -If we thought your job wasn't worth our time we would respectfully decline to work with you a lot sooner. It was worth our time unfortunately we were not successful in locking down the funds to preform this job correctly. - I will mention again Mr. Smith and I do Sincerely aplogize for not returning your call in a timely manner. - We asked you for a signature because some insurance companies require a contract to communicate with them. Some do some dont, your insurance company required it. We would never have you sign a contract to "lock you in" this is not a very good business practice that a lot of other contractors use, we dont. - lastly, I agree with the rest of your statement. I will reiterate we didn't drop you. you dropped us, due to our lack of communication of course and rightly so. It was never about the money beacause you were willing to pay more out of pocket if you had to. Again, thank you for talking to to me the other day. I wish you and Mr. Price well. - Alex Ramirez

Smith & Ramirez did my roof 5 years ago it has been fantastic, I have lived in this house for more than 20 years and have had 3 roofs. This experience was different, I live at mountain park on the mountain in north east El Paso. Every roof I had prior had wind issues this roof has been the best and 25yr workmanship warranty to top it all off. Mr. Ramirez has also called me after a bad wind storm just to check on me, that is service. Thank you Alex!!!!

I am updating my previous review following a direct conversation with the owner. They were highly responsive and took the time to communicate thoroughly regarding my concerns. After discussing the situation in detail, it became clear that the work I initially requested falls outside of their typical scope of services. That said, they have still offered to come out and help identify the underlying issue—something that other companies I have engaged over the past five years have not been willing to do. I appreciate the follow-up, the professionalism, and the willingness to provide a clear and candid explanation. Update – I am extremely satisfied with the work, the communication, and the price point. As I mentioned in my earlier review, I had been chasing this specific leak over my garage for several years, which only led to outrageous quotes and a lot of misinformation from multiple contractors and roofing companies in El Paso. Smith and Ramirez took the time to properly identify the issue and, through mutual discussion, develop a practical solution. That level of honesty, professionalism, and problem-solving was a breath of fresh air. Special thanks to Alex, Kristyn, Hilda, Jando, and Mario — top-tier professionals.

Mrs. Gallagher, thank you again for speaking with me today as I mentioned your description is accurate. People hire us because we are exactly the opposite of what you just described. It is very disappointing… it seems like our wires were crossed here internally. I can assure you that won’t happen again. I appreciate you giving me opportunity to swing by your home so I can verify….

I live in a place with strong sun exposure, and they explained how heat expansion during the day and contraction at night was gradually loosening fasteners. That repeated movement over years was creating micro gaps for water entry.

Smith & Ramirez Roofing exceeded my expectations from start to finish. Alex and his entire team were outstanding. Alex took the time to answer all of my questions and was incredibly thorough in explaining exactly what needed to be done, which gave me a lot of confidence in the process. The roofing team then followed through flawlessly, executing the plan with precision, professionalism, and attention to detail. Everything was completed efficiently and exactly as promised. If you’re looking for a team that is knowledgeable, reliable, and truly delivers on what they say, I highly recommend Smith & Ramirez Roofing.

We recently had our roof replaced by Smith & Ramirez, and the whole experience was honestly way smoother than I expected. The crew showed up on time, got straight to work, and kept everything really organized. They were respectful of the property and did a solid job cleaning up at the end of each day, which I really appreciated. The quality of the work looks great—everything feels sturdy and well done, and you can tell they paid attention to the details. Communication was also really easy throughout the process. The team at Smith & Ramirez answered questions without making it feel like a hassle and kept us updated on progress. Overall, super happy with how it turned out. It’s one of those things you don’t want to deal with often, but if you have to, this is the kind of experience you hope for. Would definitely recommend Smith & Ramirez.
