  Not a great experience I am afraid. Fairly expensive for a minor repair to a soffit. Work order was created back in March 25. Tentative repair date was listed for April 26th. Received an invoice on September 9th that the repair was completed. This was done without notification and without me present to check the work. A small additional repair to a window that I verbally communicated to the sales person was missed (also did not appear on the invoice for some reason). I communicated these concerns with SK but they were not addressed in a meaningful way. I paid the invoice, but I don't think I will be using SK again, sadly.

  Will give you a great sells pitch, but not responsive to phone calls and returning to correct work that is incomplete or done poorly. Have made several phone calls and spoke with Allison, Jackson and Sandra and requested for the owner to call and over a year later have not heard anything. Would not recommend.

  Poor communication between person answering the phone & Seth. Wasted an entire week waiting on just an estimate & just found out they don’t do that type of work. Had called Seth personally last week & explained what I needed & he never returned my call until i called the office back. Said he was on vacation. So why didn’t he have someone from S & K call me back?? Very unprofessional.

  SK fence did a great job installing our fence. The staff was very friendly and worked with us around other construction going on at our home to get our project completed as soon as we needed it.

  Over here in Bloomington IL Connor and Austin put us up an awesome 6ft Postmaster Cedar privacy fence. Best looking fence on the block and smells amazing . I’ll call Connor Mr. “Make It Happen”. Thank you SK for the beautiful fence and the 0% financing! ⭐️ I can’t forget Tim, he put it all together. I have in on speed dial! Look forward to doing business with you in the future.   Thanks so much. Connor and Austin do great work, and a 6ft Postmaster cedar privacy fence is a solid choice, both for the look and that fresh cedar smell that sticks around a while. "Mr. Make It Happen" is a title Connor's going to have to live up to now, and it sounds like he earned it on your project.   Bryan was on time,if not early, introduced himself to me, fixed the windows in 5 minutes or so & showed me what the problem was and how he fixed it. What a great experience!

  I've had SK do two projects for me. The first was to build a custom chain link gate to secure my back yard. Using my measurements, they built the gate and I installed it. It fit perfectly. The second was to move a post so that a two-piece auto gate would open and close properly. It also was completed perfectly. I'm very pleased with the planning, scheduling and job completion I've experienced working with Tim Sjoken and his crews, both in the shop and in the field, and would highly recommend them.

Repositioning the post for the auto gate takes that same careful planning, and it sounds like both came together the way you hoped.   Jan 2026, we contracted SK Exteriors to install a fence around our planned new in-ground pool. The pool contractor needed heavy equipment access to the new pool location in our backyard, so obviously the fence cannot be installed until after the pool contractor is done. On June 18, the pool contractor gave us the go-ahead for fence installation. Bill with SK EXTERIORS then came out to our house to reevaluate and found that the pool equipment was in the way for the original fence design. Tyler with SK EXTERIORS came up with a solution. The next day, Tyler and his crew started the fence installation. They were done by the next day. They hand dug (using post hole diggers) all the holes. They were careful to avoid the underground pool plumbing. Each post is set in concrete. Good job, SK guys.

Sounds like a tricky sequencing job with the pool equipment relocation, and it's great that Bill and Tyler were able to work out a solution on the spot and still turn the install around in two days. Hand digging around underground plumbing takes real care, so we're glad the crew got it done right.

  The people at SK were great to work with from the initial quote to the installation. We had asked for a revision on the initial quote and they were wonderful to work through the changes. They kept us up to date on scheduling and when they arrive. We love our new fence

  SK Exteriors recently installed a fence for us. We were extremely pleased with their service. We had planned the style, number of gates and their placement, etc., but there were several things we didn’t think about. During installation, their technicians were polite and communicated well about what they were doing, issues with our yard they encountered, and were open to our ideas as we worked together to come up with solutions. The answer every time was “we can get that done!” We couldn’t be happier with how it turned out and we highly recommend them!
