  Update- we did reach back out per their request in the reply to our review and we were ghosted again. We ended up getting help from a different roofer. Had them come out to inspect a leak and they never got back to us about replacing a tile or just sealing the leak. We called multiple times and they just wouldn't call us back.

  Called to get estimate and gentleman came out very promptly and gave an estimate, awesome! Called a little later to have work done, nothing! Called again nothing! That was last year. Figured I would try again and sent email on their site, nothing. Called and said I have been trying to get work done and would be contacted, nothing. Kind of hard to leave a good review.

  I’m having similar issues as other people here. I have a small roof leak that I discovered the week before Christmas and they came out promptly and evaluated the situation, even though it was very cold and snowy. I got a quote shortly and called to set up repairs. This is where things fell apart. Despite calling three times over the last two weeks, no one has called me back to get my repair on their schedule. Champaign had a very big rainstorm last night and the leak is getting worse. The lack of follow through is very frustrating.

  Bash-Pepper left a lot of debris around when they put a new roof on my house, but otherwise, the roof is fine. The problem is the customer service and communication. After they sent me a proposal, I asked some questions about it, but didn't hear back for weeks. Months later, they finally came and replaced the roof. I asked them for a receipt, which my homeowners' insurance company requires before they will renew my policy. Absolute radio silence. They haven't responded to a single one of my e-mails. When I call on the phone, I always reach a call center. The staff there are perfectly nice, and have taken multiple messages, but the actual office at Bash-Pepper has never called me back. I even stopped by their office mid-morning on a Thursday, and nobody was at the office. I hope nothing goes wrong with the roof, because I doubt I'd ever be able to get ahold of them for repairs.

  AVOID - AVOID - AVOID. Cord came out in the first week of September to take an estimate of roof repair. I was mailed a proposal dated September 8. I called to get good scheduled. Cord said I will get you on the books. Every 2 weeks I call they do not respond to calls or emails. Finally I get ahold of a lady she said tomorrow first thing we will be out at your house. No one should up.

  I had poor experience get gutters on my roof. It took 4 months for them to get to me. They only completed half of the project and I had to call them back out to get them to finish it. Even then they installed my gutters on top of my shingles and covered them with silicone leaving an eyesore. I asked about it and apparently it's the "new industry standard" and I have to pay 1-2k more to get them done correctly. Which I was not told they would be installed like that so now my roof warranty is void. Whenever I called to asked when I was on the schedule they said they would call the day before but they never did. And my project manager was impossible to nail down. I thought I picked a reliable co. based on reviews and a good price but I guess unless you get a roof from them they don't really care.

  A contractor came out and said that my siding was fine when it was not. The contractor seems to think that poor quality is ok. Avoid.

  Cord was incredibly prompt, communicated seamlessly throughout the entire process, and followed through on everything he said he would do. Which, unfortunately, is a rarity these days, but, it makes those that do stand out even more and makes you as a consumer appreciate it 10× more also! His reliability and professionalism really stood out. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with him again in the future and have nothing but positive things to say about my experience.

  We had a noticeable spot in master bedroom closet that indicated a leak. Our home is only 3 years old so we were dumbfounded what could be the cause. After calling multiple roofers and getting no calls back I called Bash Pepper, who immediately answered the phone and immediately had someone out the next day. Cord found the root of our problem and in less than 10 minutes issues resolved. Thanks so much for what we thought could have been a larger problem was fixed for very reasonable price and done within a day! I would definitely recommend this company for any repairs!

  Bash-Pepper is at the top of my list for contractors. They set the standard. Great communication. Upfront estimates. Friendly workers. They showed up when promised and completed the siding job faster than I expected. Before leaving, they did a thorough sweep of the area to make sure all nails and debris were picked up. These guys are the best. Top-notch work.

  Cord Shroeder and his team at Bash Pepper Roofing in Champaign have been to our historic home several times. They have technicians to work on slate roofing, historically maintained gutters and also patching and replacing flat roof areas. Cord responds to urgent calls promptly and sends expert teams out. They do great work!!!

  Over the summer, I added an attached garage to my house. Although we had building plans drawn up, we encountered an unexpected elevation issue where the rooflines didn’t align as planned. The slope of the new garage roof would have directed rainwater into the side of my house—a major problem. I had already scheduled Bash Pepper Roofing to install siding and the new garage roof, so I reached out to Cord for advice. He came out promptly, assessed the situation, and provided a viable solution within minutes. Thanks to Cord and his team's expertise, they seamlessly tied the new garage roof into the existing house with the new plan. I ended up putting siding the rest of my house as well, and the results are fantastic! The Bash Pepper crew was incredibly responsive, professional, and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire project. I couldn’t be happier with their work and would highly recommend them to anyone needing roofing or siding services.
