I was recommended to Scott from Deschutes Roofing. I called 4 times and left messages over a 2 week period for Scott to just ask about replacing roofing jacks on my manufactured rental home. I never received a call back which was quite disappointing. I thought even if it was too small of a job that I still could've received a call back. I ended up finding a nice gentleman on NextDoor app so that's good. Good luck to all of you out there! 🙏🏻☀️

Hi Jill. I’m sorry we weren’t able to take care of your roof. I checked our voicemails going back a couple of months and don’t see any messages from you. We pride ourselves on always being available to take calls from our customers and prospective customers, and on promptly returning any calls we miss. I’m not sure what happened here, but in the future we suggest using our Google profile or our website to ensure you have the correct number. I hope you’ll give us another chance in the future!

We have used Scott’s roofing for a number of full roofing projects in the past. However, we were extremely disappointed in a fairly routine request for a roof repair that originated in 2024. The roofer failed to show up for the scheduled appointment and had a number of failed attempts to schedule this job in 2025 before it was finally completed. I was extremely disappointed in the level of service for a longtime customer and would not recommend them in the future.

Stop asking for a review please, NO we would not rec. Scott's roofing to anyone. They tried to overcharge us by thousands of dollars. Hi there, it is because we wrote up our contract, signed it, thought all was good, and than "BAM" you …

Hi Cherry, thanks for your review. We did the roof on your custom home in 2021. We sent our quote over for $13,800 in February, you paid us for 80% completion of your roof in September 2021 and the final 20% in November 2021, for a total of $13,800. You apparently even recommended us to your neighbors and we did their roofs too! We're very confused about the 1 star rating.

The two stars that I’m gonna give Scott’s roofing is solely on deception Guy comes out gets on my roof spend some time analyzes everything after all is said and done simply ask what are we looking at what kind of price he says about 1700 I …

Hi Leonard, we apologize about the verbal quote in person. Once we ran the numbers back in the office, the price came out quite a bit higher to entirely re-roof your chimney the way it's supposed to be. We could definitely throw some caulking and screw down your metal panels for $500. This is the cheap fix that won't hold up overtime, and the cheap roofer is what got you in this situation in the first place. Best of luck with your repair!

Customer called us to remove toe boards and irons left form another contractor/roofer. The roof was a steep 10/12 we would have to remove them and repair any damage left from them which is unknown until removal. She did not like the proposal cost we quoted her. We returned and answered every call to her. We recomended she contact the contractor/roofer who left them to remove and fix the issue.

It’s companies like Scott’s Roofing that give hard working home owners reason to be skeptical of companies preying on unassuming consumers. Scott’s roofing was given an opportunity to quote a simple outbuilding standing seam roofing job. …

Hi Ryan, This review is very disappointing to us at Scott's Roofing. We called you to try and discuss your 1 star review over the phone, despite never being a customer of ours, but we haven't heard back yet. So we'll just respond here. We hold the highest standard and quality of work we provide all of our customers, and that's how we quoted your project. We always recommend that people get a second quote from a reputable competitor in Central Oregon and find that our quotes are always comparable. We have been in business for over 20 years and have never heard of our quotes being 2x that of any of the reputable Central Oregon roofing companies. We also understand a fellow "reputable" contractor in Bend that roofed your home left flashings unfinished when they walked away from the project. We understand that people have different values but one of our values is being Central Oregon's Trusted Roofers. That means we have a very high standard of quality both from the products we use as well as from our employees. And since you mentioned hard work we also want to point out that we value all of our roofers from tear off crew to install and we work very hard to provide reasonable quotes while also being able to provide our hard working employees a competitive salary in Central Oregon. We wish you the best of luck with your greenhouse roof. We hope that in the future you would take a phone call and give small businesses a chance to explain their quotes before turning to social media reviews.

My exp wasn't the greatest. They failed to seal my roof before a rainstorm and I had water running out of the lights in my kitchen. Then they failed to repair the wood under the roof and had to repair it from in the attic after the shingles were installed. They also ran out of materials to complete the job & left it. They didn't come back to finish the work until I told them I wouldn't pay for an incomplete job. They also destroyed my newly installed solar tube & didn't know how to replace it so I had to do it for them. They might be good on easy jobs but if you have an older house with 1x10 sheeting or solar tubes you might look to someone else. In the end (and why I gave them 2 stars v 1) they did try to make it somewhat right by repairing, completing, and reimbursing me for my labor and I appreciated that but next time I'll do it myself.

Larry did a great job for us. Explained exactly what had to be done and how he was going about it.

Larry handled the installation of low profile attic vents on our home with wit, skill and professionalism. He explained the process, patiently fielded our many questions and carefujlly preserved the surplus roofing tiles generated by the installation process for our future use. Thanks for the customer-friendly experience!
