  I called Scott Bauer roofing and siding in order to make an appointment to get a quote for gutter guards. No one showed up for the appointment. Tried to call the office twice, and only got an answering machine, no opportunity to leave a voicemail. Very poor customer service.

  I was told that if I provided a positive review of my experience, they would repair my issue just above cost. Later, I was informed that the cost almost doubled, to which we negotiated a price in the middle. After that call, I was ghosted. I have left seven voicemails and texts, and have not received a single response in three months. We needed a second opinion on whether or not to replace our roof based on a recommendation from another roof company. Branden came out and gave an honest opinion, and found that while there was an issue that needed repair, we did not need to replace the roof, which would have significantly increased our insurance rates. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an honest company!

  Andrew came to my home on 7/23/2025 for an estimate of small soffet repair. As of 9/2/2025, I have still not received the estimate. When I contacted the company to inquire as to why I have not received anything, they said they would reach out to Andrew and have him send me the qoute. Don't waste your time with this company.

  Brian, we are really sorry about your experience with AJ. Our goal is to be completely transparent with our customers to give them a solution for a fix we can warranty. AJ should have walked across the attic space for a more thorough inspection. Based on the overview photos on the roof, it didn’t seem the pipe was the issue. We have reviews on our page stating that we give honest assessments and that we do not try to oversell something when we are not confident other it will truly fix the issue. These reviews really do a lot of damage for our google standing. We are one of few companies who are in the business to truly serve our customers.   I called Scott Bauer for help with a minor job since I had used this company in the past for my roof replacement. I was very disappointed with the highly inflated price I was quoted. I have since found another company that fixed the issue, very professionally and fairly. It pays to shop around!

  Hey Kathleen, we are really sorry that you believe our price was inflated. Since our industry is an industry that doesn't require installation licenses, we unfortunately compete against companies who are typically pretty cheap and lack installation experience. There are over 700+ roofing and siding companies in Dayton alone due to this industry being an unregulated industry. With our 50+ years of experience and annual investment into installation training for our crews, project managers, quality control staff, and exterior consultants, we cannot be cheap with our pricing. If we priced ourselves to be cheap, we probably wouldn't of lasted 25 years in business. We truly believe in our service and craftsmanship and that is why we price our jobs accordingly. If we priced ourselves as one of the cheaper contractors, we wouldn't be able to provide the service we provide. We hope you can understand.   We had a leak suddenly develop in our roof over our garage. Scott came out to our house the next day, before the next rain storm, and was able to determine the cause of the leak and fixed it on the spot. He did a great job! We appreciated his honesty and work ethic.

  Scott Bauer Roofing and Rep. Tyler were awesome. Fast quote, detailed explanations, got me on the schedule in a way that fit my needs and did an excellent job. The job manager who did the final inspection made sure everything was cleaned up and that extra product was hauled away. Highly recommend, and will call them again if I have any future projects.

  I had a downspout come down during a storm and needed it to be rehung. I called Scott Bauer Roofing & Siding and Anthony came for the inspection. Anthony told me he could take care of it today! Anthony looked over all my gutters and promptly did my repair. I was very impressed that I did not have to schedule another appointment for the repair.   Scott Bauer Roofing completed a small roofing repair job for us. We are so pleased that we chose this company. We obtained a timely and thorough estimate from AJ, and James and Tyler expertly completed the project on schedule. They were even so kind as to notify us that a piece of siding on our chimney was missing. They did an outstanding job from start to finish. When we need a new full roof in about 5-7 years, Scott Bauer Roofing will definitely be doing the job.

  Four years ago I had Scott Bauer install new gutters, leaf guards and downspouts. Last week one of the downspouts fell off. Not knowing anyone to repair the downspout I call Scott Bauer. After several days they returned my call and sent two nice employees to reinstall the downspout. The installers were courteous and fast and finished in no time. The original installation was outside the warranty but the installers said there still would be no charge. I think that level of service goes beyond what can be expected. I would recommend Scott Bauer for your home repair needs.
