Storm chasing company. A rep knocked on door and gave the con game "I was working in area I can give you a free inspection". He then pulled about 14 to 17shingles ,very hard . And left them bowed Do not associate with this company, they are terrible.

Our goal is to help homeowners who may benefit from a roof inspection due to visible roof damage, particularly following recent storms, which is why our team was in the area. To date, we have assisted more than 8,000 homeowners throughout the region with their roofing needs. We also hold our team members to high standards of professionalism and respect when interacting with homeowners and the communities we serve. We apologize for any inconvenience our visit may have caused. If you would prefer not to be contacted in the future, please email us at marketing@americanhome.tech with additional information, and we will ensure your address is removed from our outreach efforts.

Continue to solicit at my home despite 2 no soliciting signs, being on a no soliciting list, and turning them away multiple times. Woke up my newborn this time too. Very sketchy company.

    Reply from the business

Noah, We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience our visits have caused you. Our goal is never to make anyone feel uncomfortable, but rather to offer homeowners information about our services. We value our community and always strive to be respectful. If you'd prefer not to be contacted, please let us know, and we will ensure your address is removed from our outreach efforts. Came home today from work and found a ladder that was left in my mulch bed that was still going up to my roof. No roofing company trucks or employees anywhere in site. I asked my wife why there was a ladder and she stated a salesman for a roofing company came by to assess our roof and forgot it. My wife called him and he had no idea where he had left it. This was a huge liability to me and my family and if it fell it could have caused damage to my home. I politely called him and told him that I took it down and that we would not be seeking this company’s services.

    Reply from the business

Matthew, we sincerely apologize for our Project Specialist's mistake and that our rep left his ladder. I am sure as you're aware that with 75+ mph winds from March 13, we have been incredibly busy helping homeowners in the Dayton area, and the rep agreed he would stop by after his other inspections to pick up the ladder. This was a sincere mistake on our part and we did not mean to cause any distress. The Project Specialist spoke to your wife who was super kind about it and he apologized, but when you spoke to him your conversation and words included profanities, which is not how we conduct business.

Jacob came out to get an idea of the work we wanted and take some measurements and photos ( complete home exterior remodel). He was late in getting back with us and at that time wanted to schedule a phone call between he, myself and Jake , the owner. We arranged a three way call and all I got for most of the conversation was how Jake took many chances to become the entrepreneur he is. Having him share some of the reasons for getting into the business was fine, but dominated the conversation. At the end, he promised to reach out to a person he works with who does architecture design , CAD program , etc. work to help us better understand and visualize our wants and overall project. Long story short, she ( the designer ) never reached out to us as Jake had promised and not to this day ( nearly 2 months later ) has Jacob or Jake called back or made any attempts to contact us again. After searching on the internet more about this company , I discovered many negative reviews. I also learned that Jake in 2024 bought a $5 million golf course and a $1.8 plus million dollar home on this same golf course in Florida just outside of Orlando. After reading the many , many negative reviews, having this company ghost me and learning that the owner purchased at least $7 million in real estate , it leads me to believe this is a scam company and seeking to make the quickest buck possible by doing minimal work with little effort. I won’t be contributing to his newly acquired wealth.

Hi Tom, We’re truly sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. It’s clear that our follow-up fell short after your initial consultation, and that’s not the level of communication or professionalism we strive to deliver. Regarding your comments about our team and ownership, personal matters or unrelated financial information have no connection to how we operate or serve our customers. Our focus remains on providing quality craftsmanship and clear, transparent communication throughout every project. We’d appreciate the chance to reconnect, address the missed follow-up, and ensure your questions about the remodel are fully answered. We’d like to make this right if any chance to do so remains. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Your feedback helps us improve.

Absolutely trash business. I have asked them to not come on my property and to stop contacting me three times and just chased off the 4th salesman.

    Reply from the business

Marcus, we don't appreciate you referencing us as a 'trash business'. Though we do want to make sure you are removed from our outreach efforts ASAP. Please email our office team at hello@americanhome.tech with your details so we can update our system.

I have unresolved issues with American Home Tech and the execution of my roof replacement. I first want to communicate the positives…..Nicki C. Claims Relationship Manage did an outstanding job representing my interest with my insurance company, her professionalism concern for customer service was “5”star. She handed the final rounds with my insurance over to Deirdre F. who continued that excellent service. My issues and ultimate “1” star is the result of the actual roof application and the blatant disrespect of management to my concerns after 17 days of numerous attempts to address my apprehensions. I have an obvious swale in a portion of my roof, that was not present prior to the new roof application, that, along with my desire to have the roofers take down my “Dish” satellite, which needed to be taken down with the new roof (came with a charge). I had asked that it not be placed back on the roof, as I had promised the dish to a friend. The dish was nowhere to be found at the conclusion of the replacement, and after reviewing my Ring video, it never made the dump trailer, so I can only assure it was stolen from my residence, and by ignoring my request to resolve both issues, I can only determine guilt is the reason that I have received no follow-up. I cannot recommend this company for roofing projects!

Gary, We take your unresolved issues seriously, and sincerely apologize for your experience of a delay in communication and follow up, and for that we sincerely apologize. The accusation of stealing the Dish satellite is serious, and we will do our best to resolve this issue. Our team will be reaching out to you to discuss this matter and find resolutions to your concerns.

I'd like to give a special thank you to Michael Phillips and his crew, also to J.C. Edward's, and finally Austin Werba. American Home Tech company is on point, extremely professional, and true to their word. They laid out the plan to us step by step, showed up on time and got to work. Amazing team, very nice, and awesome attitudes. I would recommend thus company and more importantly the three names I mentioned above.

They are amazingly efficient and helpful. They cleaned up the blown in insulation that fell in my living room when my ceiling collapsed the same day they arrived to quote my work. Alex met with my insurance adjuster to work on getting the repairs covered by insurance. They work directly with the insurance adjuster through the complete process. I highly recommend America Home Tech
