  While we are ultimately happy with how the roof looks, the overall experience with Royal Roofing was extremely disappointing. The process took nearly nine months from start to finish. Although some of the delays were due to dealing with State Farm (which is not entirely Royal Roofing’s fault), the lack of follow-through and organization on their end made the situation much worse. We were handed off to multiple different people throughout the project, and it repeatedly felt like our job was forgotten or pushed aside. Communication was inconsistent, and we often had to reach out just to get updates or keep things moving. A major recommendation for anyone considering Royal Roofing: take photos of everything. We were told certain problems were “already like that,” and having detailed documentation is essential. The work crew also showed little care for our home and property. Damaging a window screen and a gutter, that we had to request that they fix. Nails and debris were left scattered throughout our yard, and we had to request an additional cleanup. In the end, the roof itself looks good, but the amount of stress, poor communication, and lack of attention to our property made this an experience we would not want to repeat.

We understand that the overall timeline of your project was longer than anyone would have preferred. The claim process began with State Farm approving only a minor repair. After two additional inspections and continued advocacy on your behalf, the claim was ultimately approved for a full roof replacement. While insurance-related delays are unfortunately outside of our direct control, we recognize that the extended timeline added stress to the experience. Regarding the changes in project contacts, your original representative assisted through March 31, 2025. In June, your file was transitioned to another team member to continue communication while we awaited claim approval. During that time, Brooke, one of our managers who also stepped in as a sales representative, dedicated significant time to personally assist you and work directly on pushing the claim toward full approval. Our intention was to strengthen communication and ensure your claim received the attention it deserved. We sincerely apologize that our follow-up did not consistently meet your expectations. Our goal is always to deliver a smooth, organized experience from start to finish, and we regret that this was not fully reflected in your project. While construction projects can involve unexpected challenges and occasional accidents, that should never compromise clear communication or the overall customer experience. In regard to the cleanup concerns, we understand how frustrating that must have been. Due to seasonal daylight limitations, the installation extended into the evening hours. While roofing is a construction process and can be disruptive, it is our responsibility to leave your property clean and safe.   We had our house built brand new and Royal Roofing did the roof. We had a leak in one of the rooms and they came out for the one year warranty to fix it but over time we realized it wasn’t fixed. Another roofing company came to give us a quote and they pointed out that Royal Roofing never installed the ice and water shield on our roof. Which is required by code. Royal advised that 4 rolls were delivered to the build site but obviously they never put it on. When Royal came to the house the first time, the kid pointed out the IWS was not in the roof (on audio and video). When they sent 2 supervisors out to take a look they tried to tell us it was on there. The next day over the phone (This was recorded) they acknowledged the IWS was not on the roof. I explained to them I am concerned about water damage elsewhere we are not seeing and stated I felt they owe me a new roof. There was some back and forth with Aaron which led to him saying “If we tear your roof off and find it somewhere, are you prepared for us to walk away and leave your roof like that” (All of this is recorded conversation). Now when we try to reach out to them, they’ve stopped answering and returning any calls. We reported Royal to the BBB. Royal responded stating they have referred the matter to their attorney because we threatened their business. If us saying we prefer to not reach out to an attorney and make this ugly is considered a threat then I guess I am guilty. All communication's with Royal have been saved to avoid a he said she said scenario. After we informed BBB all communication’s have been recorded and we would be happy to hand them over, Aaron from Royal left me a message stating he would like to figure out a time to do the repairs. We tried to return the call but they never got in touch with us. This is more proof these guys not only do not stand by their work, they are liars as well.   This is a quote from Royal Roofing & Solar -- "We pride ourselves on our commitment to our customers to deliver quality, impeccable work the first time. To that end, we communicate with you throughout the project to demonstrate our passion, integrity, trustworthiness, and innovative spirit." There is an old saying "Caveat Emptor" (let the buyer beware). If you decide to contract with Solar, be sure to read the quote they send you very well. They will put a clause on the quote that says "By signing this contract you acknowledge that Royal Roofing and Solar is not liable for any warranty of installation or workmanship." When I read the quote that Royal sent me, I misread this statement and missed the word "not" so yes, this falls on me but I never expected such a terrible job of workmanship. Last November I spent $2700.00 for Solar to install guttering on my home. Last week I started seeing problems with the guttering and when I contacted Solar, they sent out a rep to look at the guttering and according to him the guttering was a truly embarrassing work of installation. His comment after inspecting the guttering was " this guttering was not installed properly and I'll be surprised if this guttering even stays on for a year!" They are using their clause of no warranty to refuse to do anything about their shoddy workmanship and at 73 years old I am now responsible for, as they put it, removing and properly reinstalling the gutters myself!! Or spend the money once more to contract with another company to do it all again. So, as I said, if you deal with Royal Roofing & Solar, "Caveat Emptor!!"

  Marc our rep was at your house on Monday and was able to give you a bid today (Saturday). Sorry it took 5 days to turn the bid around to you. I'm sorry you were so upset over it to leave us a 1 star review over waiting a couple of extra days in the middle of spring. I do apologize. We don't like it taking 5 days to turn around a bid. We had a week of unforseen circumstances with 6 employees out sick part of the week. We definitely don't want you upset over it either. Feel free to reach out to the office next week and we would like the opportunity make things right.

  They’ve “been in the process” of putting a roof on my house for 3 months now. Nobody communicates . I called and the receptionist seems like a teen working a summer job and didn’t express concern. Now here it is SEPTEMBER and our money is being held in escrow from a sale in June! I’m reporting to the BBB and would never encourage anyone to use their services. NEVER! So frustrating! The only communication is between us and the sales agent Stanley who gives canned responses for questions.

  We recently had our roof replaced by Royal Roofing and Solar, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. Our sales representative, Ryan Wattenburger, was fantastic to work with. He listened to what we wanted instead of trying to upsell us, and that meant a lot. On installation day, Tim, the project manager, and Mariano, the crew leader, arrived bright and early and got right to work. The crew did an excellent job on the roof and on installing our skylight. They were efficient, professional, and made sure everything was cleaned up before they left. Tim stayed afterward to walk me through the completed work, including the details of the skylight installation. He made sure I understood everything and that I was completely satisfied before he left. I’m very glad we chose Royal Roofing and Solar for this project. They delivered great service from start to finish, and we are extremely pleased with the results.

  I called Royal Roofing on a Sunday morning, by noon sameday Mike Jones was onsite discussing roofing issues. We were desperately in need of a roof due to a previous contractor's bad job that left several leaks and destroyed the interior of the house. Mike assured us he could get it done ASAP, two days later we were 80% complete and the 3rd day was a 100% complete. Tim Newton project manager was onsite the whole time ensuring everything was completed fast and efficiently while keeping us at ease due to incoming rain. Want to thank Mike, Tim and the crew for helping us sleep easier and ensuring our property was protected.

  In December they inspected my roof and my insurance denied my claim. In June I filed another claim and was approved my sales rep was Brayden and my project manager was Tim and they came out to the house and went over everything with me and submitted it to my insurance company, and this morning they showed up and a little after noon I have a new roof with gutters coming next week. Great company to do business with and I highly recommend them for your roofing needs.

  We had a great experience working with this company. Mike and his team were down to Earth, honest, and very easy to work with from start to finish.   Mike and his team at Royal Roofing did an amazing job replacing our roof after the hailstorm this past March. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth and stress-free. They met with our insurance adjuster, explained all of the insurance details in a way that was easy to understand, coordinated the material delivery, completed the installation professionally, and were there through the final inspection. The communication throughout the project was outstanding. Someone from the team was always available to answer our questions and make sure everything stayed on track. The crew was professional, efficient, and did an excellent job cleaning up when the work was finished. If you’re looking for a roofing company that is honest, knowledgeable, and truly cares about its customers, I highly recommend Mike and his team. We couldn’t be happier with the results!
