Neighbor’s tree fell on roof in 2010. Insurance paid Roof It Right over $20,000 for a new roof. 13 years later began having roof problems with leaks. Gumar came out and recommended I buy a brand new roof. Other roofers have told me that it appears to them that some of the old wood was retained/used in the repair and now such is failing. I’ve got shingles sealed for now, but obviously since the roof’s wooden foundation is prematurely decaying, this will be a reoccurring problem. Most people would expect 25 years out of a new roof.

Phil, we’re very sorry to hear about the recurring leaks and understand how frustrating this must be after expecting a 25-year roof. We take concerns about premature decay and workmanship seriously and will review the original job records and any applicable warranty. Please contact our Customer Care team at your earliest convenience so we can pull your file, evaluate options, and discuss next steps to resolve this. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

So far, I wasn’t able to find your name in our records. Could you please provide the name or address under which we contracted with you in 2024?

We’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. We value every potential customer and always aim to communicate with respect and professionalism. While our team may not have initiated the delay notice, the schedule change was communicated more than 50 minutes in advance once we connected. We understand punctuality is important and always strive to keep customers informed. Regarding the tone of the conversation, we have full confidence in how our representative handled the call—firm but respectful and honest. We’re committed to transparency, even when it may not align with someone’s expectations. That said, we never want our communication to feel dismissive or rude, and we regret if that’s how it came across. We wish you the best in your search for a contractor and remain open to future communication if you ever choose to revisit.

I’ve been in communication with this company since March after filing a claim for wind damage that caused roofing issues and leaks beginning March 3rd. We were provided the contact for a very friendly and helpful employee who is no longer with the company from one of our own family members. Initial discussions were helpful, informative, and relieving. After several weeks of no further communication due to her being our sole contact we began trying to call and were then notified that she wasn’t with the company. Mark Allen was very reassuring once contact was made again. As of May he mentioned having someone out to tarp due to continued rain damage as we worked on getting an estimate to insurance after the first inspection. Insurance did not approve the full roof as Roof it Right desired, and communication began to further decline. We never received that tarp and water damage has increased. We had a second inspection report submitted in July, which included a new leak that the inspector reported came from his own nails while pulling shingles off for a sample comparison. The inspector assured us this would be covered, reviewed the roof again as well as inside damage our insurance company had left out of their own report. I began asking for an itemized estimate of repairs from Roof it Right in August, and was told by my insurer that they had been asking for own themselves since April. Roof it Right refused to send it even after I explained I cannot sign a contract with them for any repairs without having in writing on the contract what will be repaired, and that it needs to include their own inspector’s damage. It is September 29th, and I cannot even explain in words right now the confusion and frustration that comes with the email I just received as I requested once again for the itemized services to be included (I even said you can copy and paste what out insurer agreed to) in the contract so we can move forward. This does not even include the fact that our insurer h

We never said nor implied that we agreed that the windows were installed incorrectly. . . It’s unfortunate that we could not better meet your expectations. It remains our strong opinion that we installed the KP windows (Link: https://g.co/kgs/XKDg6J) the best way possible. As your husband noted before we even installed the windows, that company out of Ontario, CA has a 1.2 star rating. Even so, they were a better option in that price range than other windows that are available locally. And we have never had complaints before. That’s why we did not hesitate to install them with your consent. We apologize for assuming that you wanted to stay within that budget since you did not ask for higher-rated, more expensive windows at the time. As for your perception that air is coming in around the windows, I sent out a trusted technician to inspect the installation job. He reported that the installation was properly done and that there was no way to improve upon it. We did return your phone calls for a long time and re-visited your property many times at considerable expense. We even replaced the garage door belt that broke through no fault of our own. It happened to wear out at that time, so we happily replaced it since it happened on our watch. Unfortunately, at some point, it became unfeasible and unreasonable from a business standpoint to keep going back to meet your household’s demands when we already completed the job in a timely, professional manner as you stated 2 years ago. As an example, I can point to the aluminum fascia installation. At first, you guys were not satisfied and I could not understand why. When your husband and I went together to compare it your neighbor’s aluminum fascia, we found so many imperfections at the neighbor’s that he had to admit our installation was exceptional. We appreciate that you considered us trustworthy enough to recommend us to others in the past. We are a bit confused about the drastic switch to now rate our work so low when

Did we charge double or did the insurance company offer half the amount that it would take to roof it right? We don’t cut corners, and we try not to work for free. We invest a lot of time and money helping homeowners qualify for a quality roof and not a cheap fix, for which we deserve to get paid so we can continue serving the community. Patty does a wonderful job helping customers and we appreciate all her hard work! We wish you all the best.

Worked briefly with Mark. Once they understood that I wasn't going to let them take advantage of my insurance company they dropped the claim/ quote quickly.
Reply from the business
Not always Homeowners see how they want to take advantage of the contractors. I hope it is not about you. Most homeowners though see how Insurance takes advantage of them. People get what they pay for. You paid premiums, it is time for you to be compensated for your losses. We helped thousands of homeowners to get the roofs that they can count on and we appreciate when they want us to be paid for our labor. If you will change your mind, please call Mark.

I have used Roof it Right on several occasions over the last 8 years. I am always pleased with the professionalism of all- the owner, office manager, all workers that are sent out to complete the inspection and projects. They’re thorough and efficient. Their pricing is fair and the quality of their work is excellent. I highly recommend them for any roofing, gutters, siding. They stand by the promises they make and deliver great results.

Absolutely amazing experience. Patti walked me through everything even in a stressful situation. She was so patient and supportive. Juan was so knowledgeable and helpful. I would use them again in a heartbeat for new roofs (we had our main home and three car garage done). In fact that are working on our soffits and fascia next!

Angela, thank you so much for sharing this 😊 It truly means a lot. Roofing projects can feel overwhelming, especially when it involves your main home and a three-car garage, so we’re really glad Patti was able to guide you through everything with patience and support. That steady communication is something we take seriously. Juan will be grateful for the shoutout as well. He always aims to make sure every homeowner feels informed and confident throughout the process. We’re honored you trusted Roof It Right with your home and we’re looking forward to helping with the soffits and fascia next. Thank you again, Angela 🏠

The company installed snow guards on my house and garage. They also repaired the gutters mangled from last years snow storm. They did excellent work.

Tony, we really appreciate you taking the time to share this. Snow guards and damaged gutters might not be the flashiest upgrades, but they protect your roof and foundation when the weather turns. That’s exactly why we take the time to do it right the first time. We appreciate you trusting Roof It Right with your home 🏠

Thank you very much Clayton. Yes, we definitely appreciate the long term relationship with our customers. Do it right and customer satisfaction are our two fundamental principles. Thank you for sharing your experience. It is especially valuable because for years we do smaller projects for you and we never did any full roof replacement at your projects. In the long run people save much more money if they do necessary maintenance and that's what we recommend unless common sense votes for replacement. Thank you very much for your rview.

We aren’t having our roof repaired, but some neighbors in the our neighborhood are. A representative stopped by to inform us they would be doing work and it may be loud at times. First roofing company to ever do this in my experiences. I was very appreciative of the notice and the politeness of the representative.
