Update: My initial experience with Ricky was positive, but serious concerns arose after the work was completed. During the original quotation discussion, shingles and protecting the exposed wooden roof-edge areas were discussed. Ricky also provided photographs showing the exposed wood and compared to the neighbouring roof with protective covering. The written estimate of $2,188.08 stated that it was based on our conversation and those photographs, but it contained no written scope, labour estimate or material list. Based on the discussion and the amount quoted, I reasonably understood that the work would include new shingles and/or appropriate protection for the exposed wood. The crew later arrived without a confirmed appointment and completed the work in approximately 65 minutes. The after photographs appear to show primarily sealant/caulking and several fasteners. I cannot identify photographs showing that shingles were installed or that the exposed wooden roof-edge areas were properly covered or protected. When payment was requested, no detailed invoice was initially provided. After I asked how the $2,188.08 charge was calculated, the company eventually supplied an invoice listing general items such as inspection, maintenance, chimney and vent repairs, labour, cleanup and disposal. However, it still assigns no individual amounts to those items and does not identify the labour time, materials, quantities or replacement components included in the total. I was also disappointed that the office characterized my request for supporting documentation as “concerning,” “not entirely fair” and “disappointing.” I have never denied authorizing the work or refused to pay for properly completed work. I am asking for clarification because the completed photographs do not appear consistent with what I reasonably understood from the original discussion and the amount quoted. I have requested confirmation of whether any shingles were installed, what protection was intended fo

Terrible company to work for or to have work done by. Renovations not done properly, poor workmen ship. No permits by the city for renovations. Didn't have any inspectors come to check on any of the electrical, plumbing or HVAC. had the whole extensions completed with out insulation!! Then found out that there was leans put towards the house because he didn't pay the trades for work completed!!!!! No wonder everything is done improperly, He treats people like dirt and doesn't care about the customers home.

Here’s my story: July 2025- bad hail damage the size of eggs on my roof that’s 20 yo Oct 2025- called around for quotes from 3 roofers and roof by roof was the one place that called back a month later to follow up with me. They were very kind and understanding as I planned to book but lost my job and I’d ping them when I was ready. April to June 2026- we initiated a new quote as my insurance company told me that class 4 shingles hold up better than class 3 and would get us a discount. Katrina was amazing as we corresponded via email. We selected the shingle class, chose a color, materials arrived 3 weeks prior to the job start. We couldn’t set a date as the forecast had constant rain. Some materials were on the roof and some left at the side of the house. July 2026- provided a 3 week window in which I wanted the roof to be completed. Ricky was the lead and texted me 2 days before arriving. I expected the job would take 3 days with 3 guys. Turns out a crew of 6 completed the job in one day! They arrived at 720am with drop sheets, taking care of my avoiding my plants/flowers, and were efficient. They finished at 530pm and had cleaned up the materials and hauled it away. Aside from a few pieces of wood and shingle strips on my lawn, all I did was sweep the porch and deck. My gutters are a mess full of dust but that’s from the old shingles that were removed. After providing proof of payment and a letter certifying class 4 shingles to Allstate insurance, this was an easy process. We paid by etransfer. Lastly, I requested Ricky provide pics of the completed roof which he did as attached. Overall, highly recommend this team if you require a roof replacement. They were communicative, timely and professional which I did not find with the other larger roofing companies I had quotes from. Give them a try!

Update July 22, 2026: Ricky has come by to inspect and repair. There has been a few rainy days since the repairs and so far no visibly wet spaces in the garage. Will continue to monitor as rainy days come by. ____ Update July 2nd: Ricky had told me he would come inspect on July 2nd at 4pm but did not show up. Very disappointed in the lack of customer service and accountability. _____ Update: as of June 28th, still no one to come inspect. I am worried given all the rain we’ve received and the fact that the rain will continue. ——— Had my roof replaced and everything looked good, but then it rained and my garage walls were visibly wet. Reached out on June 3rd to have someone come by to inspect but no one has come by despite following up with Ricky on two separate occasions. As of June 19th, there have been no replies or anyone sent out to inspect. Hoping that this review will be taken seriously and the issue will be fixed immediately. - Vanessa L
