  We are sorry this situation left you and your mother with a negative impression of our company. However, we do not agree that the conversation or the events occurred as described in this review. Our understanding of the situation differs significantly, including the account of how the conversation was handled and several of the accusations made about our crew. That said, we understand that permission should always be requested before using anything located on a property. We have reinforced this expectation with our team, along with the importance of minimizing disruption to neighbouring homes. We take concerns seriously and believe they are best resolved through a fair and respectful conversation. We regret that our efforts to investigate and address this matter did not result in a satisfactory resolution.

  This company came to re-roof our neighbor’s home last week & without asking permission, plugged their equipment into an outlet on our home & used our electricity. My mom called to address what happened & spoke with a manager named Jordan. Rather than listening to her concern & handling it professionally, he became argumentative, raised his voice, & asked whether she had “proof” or pictures of his workers using our outlet. No, we did not take pictures because we did not expect to need photographic evidence of a roofing company using our property without permission. However, the neighbors whose roof they were working on have security cameras, so the footage can be checked if proof is required. Jordan then said something along the lines of, “If you think your bill is going to increase, that’s not going to happen. It’s just batteries.” My mom explained that the cost was not the point. Whether it cost five cents or $50 is irrelevant. The issue is that their employees used someone else’s property without asking. He then asked my mom, “What do you want me to do?” As the manager, the appropriate response should have been obvious: speak with the employees, determine what happened,& make it clear that they cannot use someone else’s property without permission. After Jordan eventually calmed down, he said he would investigate. He later called back and said that an employee named Terry had plugged the equipment into our outlet. According to Terry, somebody told him that we were related to the neighbors, so he assumed it was okay. Even if we were related to our neighbors, that would not give this company permission to use our property. If you need to use something belonging to another homeowner, knock on the door and ask. It takes less than a minute. According to what my mom was told, Terry also said he saw the outlet & thought it was okay to use. Simply seeing something on another person’s property does not mean you have permission to use it. There were other issues as we

  As you can no doubt appreciate, we have been inundated with telephone calls and emails due to the hail storms in Calgary this year. We endeavor to respond to all of the requests we receive; however, inevitably, there are those that are missed. All of our details (including telephone and email) are easily located online through our website https://citybossroofingcalgary.com/. The legitimacy of our operation is easily ascertainable by way of a simple Google search. We would appreciate it if you deleted this 1 star review as it is defamatory and offensive. We are clearly not a "fly by night" company as is evidenced by the significant number of positive reviews that we have received on Homestars and Google. City Boss has been in business for years and has an established reputation.

  We had our roof replaced this spring by City Boss after getting quotes from several companies. City Boss was the only one to come out to our house to provide a quote, take a look around the property, and spend time going over options for the install. Great communication and response time to any questions I had. The crew showed up as scheduled and got the roof done in one day. Clean up was well done. The price was on par with all the other companies. No problems at all, and we've had plenty of rain since the roof went on.

  I had my shingles replaced last week by City Boss Residential Roofing. They showed up at 8 am and were finished by 4 pm. They did a fantastic job of cleaning up around the house. Also the people working the job were respectful to my neighbours.
