  I hired Benjamin to build a deck on a new home. This guy had no idea what he was doing. He cannot comprehend simple instructions. I asked him to use screws on a particular header board, instead he shot 26 nails all within 14” trying to find a stud. I fired him half way through the project. The deck was out of square, out of plumb, unlevel and an unsightly mess overall. I had to hire another contractor to tear down Benjamin’s mess and start over. He cost me thousands of dollars. Don’t be fooled by the way he answers “yes sir” or “yes “ma’am ” or the fancy carpentry acronyms he learned from the internet. I have built many houses over the years and worked with many contractors but never in my life have I seen work as bad as what Benjamin did. Even though he was completely responsible for this work, he for some reason refuses to admit it. He says it doesn’t represent his work. This was “his” work. He kept asking to keep going. I gave him way too many chances and finally I had had enough of it. Just look at the pictures below that will tell you all you need to know. These are pictures of his work that he now denies doing. I wouldn’t let him build a dog house!

As we completely disagree with everything in this post, pictures and comments alike, I'm very sorry you had a bad experience with our company. I genuinely believe if we were allowed to finish the project we could have have made it right and you would have been happy. We believe we have only offered to make it right and were not given that opportunity.

  Ben Wilburn dba Remnent Construction was presented to me as a licensed General contractor, which he is not. He was hired to install a 52’ x 80’ pole barn and do the electrical. He was unable to follow directions and laid out the barn with the South West corner off of the 65x100 ground area that had been cleared. He also broke a water line and refused to repair it, insisting he had been volunteering to do it and that he didn’t have to do it. He also started what was supposed to be a repair on a different building on the property and he or his worker broke the conduit pipe so my shop flooded and had condensation. He also refused to accept responsibility for that damage which he caused and became aggressive and yelled at me and told me to shut up and that I was not allowed to be near the job site. I don’t think I’ve ever dealt with a more immature unprofessional person. All I asked was for him to fix the things that he broke. When I asked for his insurance information he refused to provide it to me. If I could give zero stars I would. Needless to say as a single middle aged woman I was extremely uncomfortable with the scenario and decided to terminate his contract. I will update with pics.

  76 year old and not able to physically do work myself anymore due to medical issues, after trying for over a year to get a contractor to replace our two sets of front porch steps and contractors never showing up for estimates or responding at all I found Renmant Construction. Benjamin responded to my inquiry and showed up the same day to gather info needed for estimate. Provide a fair estimate and worked around our plans to get us on schedule quickly. Jeremiah contacted me and arranged date and time. Showed up when he said he would with all the materials and did all the necessary rebuild work and installed new Trex steps. Jeremiah is a pleasant person to work with and did a great job for us. We would recommend Remnant Construction and plan to use them again in future.

  This was an excellent service. Professional and friendly. Very happy with everything about the process. Communication was clear. Estimate was prompt and easy to understand. The work was completed quickly and cleanly. Very pleased with everything about the repair of our barn.

  Benjamin and his crew did an awesome job assembling our FastFrame trusses, setting them and adding Zip Systems sheathing on the walls as well as OSB on the roof! The crew was efficient and hard working! Looking forward to working with them again as we continue our home building journey.

  We had 2 covered porches built by Remnant construction and had a great experience working with this contractor. Justin, whose communication was excellent from start to finish provided clear timelines, quick responses, and proactive updates throughout the project. Any questions or concerns were addressed promptly, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend.

  Had a leak due to original installer's poor installation of ridge vents. Remnant Construction was quick to send someone out for repair and stop the leak. Great service, very knowledgeable, and kind guys!

  The workers worked very good, they got it done.And the time they quoted, they were very professional.The deck looks great.I would tell anybody if they want to have some repairs or deck work or guttering, or framing to call this company.They are outstanding and live up to what they say.They do thank you.

  They built the front porch with roof & ramp. Did a super job. Quality of work was great. Showed up & worked when temperature was near zero. Finished work a⁰head of the schedule. Left the place clean. Justin check with us daily to see if progress was satisfactory . Remnant construction is very good at their trade.
