The tarp in my yard killed my plants and grass. Left nails in my gutters. When I called Koby to try to find something out, I couldn’t get in contact with him. 0/10 service 0/10 company.

    Reply from the business

I am so sorry about your yard. This is a major construction process and that is sometimes part of it. This is gone over clearly in the pre-construction agreement to allow you time to prepare for these possibilities. As far as not being able to reach Koby I can definitely help with that. Would you please give me a call so I can locate your account as I am not pulling anything up for Koby with the name Alex.

Took advantage of an elderly person and added unnecessary materials/labor on. Would definitely use another company I've asked for an itemized bill, as I am trying to get this resolved. He sold a roof when it wasn't needed, therefore taking advantage of an elderly person who signed a contract when not needed.

    Reply from the business

Hello Mrs. Lynn I am not sure what you are thinking we have added but the only thing that was added is $165 in wood charges. There is no way to account for the wood until the roof is removed and we have eyes on the existing wood to know what is needed. This was explained in full to Mr. Lynn and he agreed. The total matches the contract that was agreed upon and signed including the wood agreement form. We have only received one payment/ half of the balance so far on this bill that was due on 3/23/24 with and extremely large balance left owed for over a year now.

American Roofing is in the area using a drone to show hail damage. The representative tells you the drone is free. After you see what appears to be damage, the representative asks you to sign a paper allowing American to deal with your insurance company. The paper has a disclaimer that you will owe money if you do not allow American to complete the reroofing if the claim is approved. I called my ins agent and explained this situation. He said my claim was filed and I should just wait until I heard from my company's inspector..which happened the next day. My insurance adjuster and an engineer inspected by climbing on the roof and determined there was no hail damage. Now I have a claim against my property with no pay out. I'm pretty sure this will be reflected in my next premium American Roofing did me a real disservice. BEWARE

    Reply from the business

I am so sorry to hear that you are displeased with us Mr. Burks! Our guys are storm damage specialist and are trained to identify storm damage. We run into situations like this often, where the storm damage is present and we present the proof but insurance will not agree the damage is present. We normally do a re-inspect and have to send a video proving our findings again. We can absolutely do this for you as well if you would like to move forward. We only identify damage and tell you what we recommend. I would suggest file a complaint with your insurance as they have denied that the hail damage we found and presented to them, and they raised your premium with out replacing the roof as requested. This complaint should be directed to them since we did not actually do the roof replacement or anything other than the inspection.

They did the work when they promised. The work was acceptable. What I didn't like was that they gave me an initial quote for the job which we all agreed on and had a signed contract, but when the final bill came, they raised the amount of what the job cost by >$5000, (17K to >22K). At first they tried to blame it on poor calculation of the amount of shingles needed but ours is NOT a big or complicated house/roof and there was no way they could have been that far off with their initial calculation. I was supposed to get guttering done as well, but I can't do that now secondary to the increased amount American Roofing laid on their bill at the last minute. Everything was fine until that. I don't know this for sure but I would beware of their initial estimate for the job and expect a hefty increase in that price when all is said and done at the end of the job. So....based on American Roofing's reply, it sounds as if you would be perfectly happy then sticking with your original quote of 17K and that it was only the insurance company that increased the price >30% at the last minute. I'm happy then to just pay our original agreed upon price! I can get that amount right to you!

    Reply from the business

The hefty increase you are referring to is to cover changing in pricing and measurements from the initial summary to the final. This is only added if the pricing on your final insurance summary is different from the first. This is because is our agreement with the insurance companies to charge exactly what is listed for the roof only. If we charge anything other than what they have listed that is insurance fraud. If you have a problem or questions about the amounts charged you will need to follow up with your insurance company as we used their prices not our own.

Edited again: WE HAVE ANOTHER LEAK. We’ve had more leaks than prior to replacing the roof. I am so unbelievably frustrated. Waiting on a return call. Our ceiling in the dining room is completely ruined from this leak now. Edited to add: in addition to the experience we posted earlier, our new roof started leaking a few months later. We’re waiting on a resolution. I’m hopeful they’ll repair the roof as well as repair the damage done to the ceiling and crown molding. Definitely wouldn’t recommend them now! It was an ok experience. The positive was that they worked with our insurance to get our roof covered so that was really great. The negatives were that we were initially told it would be a large crew and the project would be done in a day and it actually took 4 days. I guess one day they were doing more insurance work so it had to be put on hold but the other 2 days there were only 2-3 people the majority of the day and the second day there was only 1-2. The other major negative also was that they said they’d magnet sweep the yard after and they never did. We’ve got a magnet sweeper from my husbands work we had sitting out from where we did the area our kids play so I guess they assumed we would just do it all ourselves and there were nails and metal wiring all over our driveway/porch/yard. So that’s kind of a bummer!

    Reply from the business

I am so sorry about your project taking several days due to your insurance! I have got with the production team about this and they will be telling our homeowners 2 to 4 days depending on insurance. Sometimes we have to put jobs on hold to get with the insurance companies to insure we are doing what they require. I know this is aggravating so I do apologize for that. The nails are the hardest part of clean up, sometime we have to go out several times to get the majority of them. I can absolutely send someone to clean up for you today. We can come out and do this as much as needed as we understand this issue:)

EDIT: In response to your reply. I am a licensed P&C insurance agent in the states of TN, VA, and NC. That may be true of some insurance providers, but not the one that I work for and the one who supplies our homeowners insurance policy. I fully understand the coverages of my homeowners policy and what they will/will not cover. We are aware that the roof needs work and have already gotten quotes from several companies. It’s bad business practice to go onto private property that specifically asks you not to solicit and solicit anyway. You won’t get our business and hopefully you won’t make the same mistake on someone else’s property We haven’t had any work done by American roofing company but I can already tell you to stay away. They showed up to our house unannounced and uninvited. We have a NO SOLICITING sign at our front door. We also have a ring doorbell and he ignored both of those things and knocked twice. This was the sales manager Billy Howlett. No one answered the door and he ended up leaving, putting his business card behind the “no soliciting” sign. When my husband called to confront him about it, Billy acknowledged that he saw the no soliciting sign on the door but claimed he wasn’t soliciting. He “noticed missing shingles and wanted to help”. If he was offering free services, that’s one thing. But he was trying to get our business which is SOLICITATION. He repeatedly told my husband that he wasn’t soliciting, gaslighting him. I can’t speak for their work, but I can speak to their business practice and it was extremely unprofessional.

I am so sorry we have upset you trying to help and provide our services to help protect your home.It appears you do not wish to use our services and that is fine and will be respected! We are actually notified by insurance companies as to which areas have storm damage and need inspected. This is because if the storm damage is not reported to them within a certain time frame they can drop your coverage or deny the replacement of the roof all together due to this. This is the reason we try our best to help homeowners like yourself. We absolutely understand no is an answer also. RESPONSE TO EDIT: Awesome, so then you understand the importance of what we do!! All insurance policies are not as great as yours seems to be. We will continue to offer our services for this reason:) Once a card is left and you do not reach out, or you do reach out to let us know you do not need or want our services that is usually the end of it. Except in this situation. We understand you are not interested nor do you want our company to assist you in anyway and that is understandable. Although, I do not believe this is a reason to bash us on line, this is something that comes with it sometimes when trying to help our communities. We do absolutely try our best to not only provide great customer service but also to be respectful in how we operate. I truly apologize that you do not feel like we are a reputable respectful company as that is all we work to be. If you will give me a call, I will put your address on the no knock list immediately:) 800-385-0781

Absolutely the best I have ever delt with. Everyone with this company was very professional and they got my roof completed in just one day. Each worker knew his job role while they were here and worked together to get it done. I especially want to give a huge thank you to Aaron Gasaway who really helped us accomplish our new roofing project by working with our insurance company. I can’t say enough about American Roofing. If you need a roof replacement, be sure to check them out.

American Roofing was a blessing from the Lord! Praying about a roof and then Tony Smith shows up at our door. He took pictures and sent them to the insurance regarding our hail damage. They sent a 3rd party out to examine our roof and the claim got denied. Tony came back and took more pictures and sent them to the adjuster and they approved the claim. He went above and beyond to get the roof approved. The install was postponed 3 times because of rain, but when they finally got to install Damien and his crew did an amazing job. They cleaned up ad left the yard and landscaping in great shape. I highly recommend American Roofing to any one who needs a new roof. Angie Davis

Aaron and Darian were both great to deal with during the whole process. Aaron was extremely helpful navigating the insurance process and insurance hoops to jump through. Darian and his crew had a great attitude even while working on a hot roof from daylight to dark. Roof looks amazing! The property protection and post job clean up was great. Highly recommend if you are wanting a job done right!

My husband and I can not tell you how amazing Tony with American Roofing company has been. God sent him to us when we needed him most! We had a horrible experience trying to work with 2 other companies and we were left overwhelmed. Tony and American Roofing helped us every step of the way. James the project manager onsite the day we got our roof answered all my questions, sent pictures during the day and even collected our packages and mail so we wouldn’t get passed by on the installation day. Absolutely amazing people! The price was affordable and clearly explained. If you need a roof, these are your guys! From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU! Chad and Tiffany Scardo

American Roofing is the best. From my first meeting with Kobey to establish the parameters of our roof (92 squares) to setting up scheduled installation, material arrival I could not be more satisfied. Everything went as scheduled, installation team (20+ roofers) showed up on time. The entire team was very professional, well groomed and took great pride in their work. They literally worked over 12 hours installing my roof and excellent cleanup in one day. Supervisors were on site the entire day and did a very professional job answering any questions. Good follow-up and walk around inspection with Kobey following installation with no exceptions whatsoever. I even inspected inside my gutters after they left and they were spotless. I would highly recommend American Roofers.

The crew did a great job replacing my roof at my office building. Jeffrey Howlett and his team were great, they communicated well about weather changes for the job, and had it completed in one day and cleaned up the job well.

Our roof looks great. Kobe of American Roofing Company got us started on the right path by helping get our insurance claim filed. They arrived on time and had our roof on by noon. They cleaned everything up and hauled the debris off. We couldn't be more pleased. Thank you to everyone who worked on our roof.

American Roofing replaced our very old cedar roof and did a fantastic job! I can't say enough good things about Kobey- he was an absolute pleasure to work with- he was completely honest with us- helped us with all our decisions- was always available for questions- and just went above and beyond the call of duty for us! If he said he'd be there- he was! The crew did a great job and cleaned up the old cedar mess very good. I can't recommend Kobey and American Roofing enough!

I was very impressed the coordination between field sales management and the Field crew. The roofers were very professional worked efficiently, cleaned up, and completed the job in one day. I want to personally thank Aaron who was the main sales person who spent his time to help us work with our insurance company and followed up several times from first inspection to final completion.

It's getting harder and harder to find reliable businesses that do what they say they will. This isn't the case with American Roofing Company. From the very start, Hunter Wilcox was professional, on time, polite and had great communication throughout the process. The foreman, Darian was just as good with communication and made sure to follow-up on the job site Before & After completion. Rachel was excellent with communication by email and phone to make sure that everything was done right and addressed questions immediately. Hunter spent additional time working through the insurance claim for us and secured the full, quality replacement needed. I can't say enough great things about this company. Thank you to all of them for their professionalism and giving me some faith in the contractor space again. Highly Recommend. -Don

Provided great service. Koby was amazing to work with throughout the whole process and was extremely patient while we worked through issues with our insurance. They had the whole roof completed and everything cleaned up in just a few hours.

Extremely pleased! Kobey was very professional, knowledgeable and able to quickly answer all my questions. Darian was great also. He and his crew arrived at the time scheduled and kept me informed throughout the day on how the installation of my new roof was going. I was extremely impressed when they laid tarps all around my house and over landscaping. All the workers were friendly and stayed busy all day.
