Update: They did eventually redo their botched repair, though making that happen continued the exercise in getting anyone to answer the phone or respond to a voicemail. They responded to my review. You can see this below. I emailed as requested with even more details than are included here. They never got back to me. This further cements my impression that anything they say about customer service is pure lip service and they fail to actually live up to their claims. If you want any amount of communication, look elsewhere. Original review: Would not recommend. Should have paid more attention to the mixed reviews. They were friendly and communicative while getting an estimate, and then once we signed the contract, it was impossible to get in touch with anyone to learn the status of the job (a one-person job replacing chimney flashing). Multiple times people said they would call me in the next few days. They never did. They always transfer me to the production office, who does not pick up or call back in response to my voicemails. Worse, when they did finally complete the job (with very little warning and me having to bug them repeatedly to even get it on the schedule), the roof leaked again because something was installed incorrectly. They said they would come out the next week to fix it (again). Thankfully this was at no additional cost. Since then I have not been able to get a hold of anybody to know what the status of that job is. Also, why do they not send a QA person out to make sure the job was done correctly until after the roof leaks again? The price was reasonable, and the work looks good, though apparently it was done wrong the first time, but it's just not worth the headache of getting zero communication. When I have gotten a hold of anyone, they have apologized and insisted that's not the level of service they aim to give. The company advertises a lot about their great customer service. That has not been my experience at all. Once they fix their mista

Buyer Beware: I had Ray St Clair replace my roof in 2009 with a 30 year warranty. First rain, the room leaked at the right corner of the front dormer, into our front room, they repaired it. Seventeen years later it again the roof leaked, only it was the left corner of the dormer, and it leaked into our hallway, directly across from the first leak only fifteen feet away. I asked Ray St Claire to repair the roof the second time. They came out to inspect the problem, then sent me a proposal on April 22, 2026 at the cost of $2,852.06 and $1,989.75 - same proposal same work two different quotes to fix the problem. I complained that it was either faulty workmanship or faulty shingles and I shouldn't have to pay. Two people then came out to reinspect the roof and they changed their quote to $1,100. I again complained. A more senior person got involved and the cost dropped on June 11, to $832.81. I again complained but to no avail. Also to note, I had two other contractors look at the problem and they both agreed that the shingles and flashing were not installed properly. I signed their proposal and they came out to repair the roof. You can imagine how surprised I was when the person who repaired the roof was finished in 1 1/2 hours. If you deduct $100 for material from the $832 that would be about $488 per hour. Can you imagine, if some poor unsuspecting homeowner owner, who believed they were dealing with a reputable roofer, would have paid the $2,852/$1,989 or $1,800 an hour? I reluctantly paid the $832.81 on July 9. Buyer beware: you too can get ripped off by the best. I noted your reply to my complaint. I wasn't so concerned about the shingle roof leak problem and who is at fault. We can agree to disagree. However, if I give you that it wasn't your fault, I was more concerned that you charge me $832 for 1 1/2 hour work. Your contract states that if you found additional work outside the shingle/leak problem, you would charge me $75 per hour, certainly not $488 per h

UPDATE - reducing review to 1 star. I was told that payments would not start until after work was completed. This company went ahead and charged the credit account I set up through them 2 weeks prior to work being completedI now have a late payment on my credit report because their staff lied to me. I have very mixed reviews about my recent experience with Ray St. Clair. I have what they considered a very difficult roof, with some additional issues that were not detected until the team got into the work. The work that was done was impeccable. The team that was here did an phenomenal job on the actual work. The difficulties that I had started with this project took over 6 weeks to complete. I do feel as though the team was moved to a different project, prior to mine being completed. I have shared all of this with the company as well. The project manager had been informed that the work was completed, and contacted me to do a final walkthrough, when half of the project was still unfinished. Additionally- the biggest issue that was uncovered, was left for the end - thus adding almost another 2 weeks onto the project for an additional quote and time available for the team to get back out and complete the work. Our sales guy Richie was fantastic, but communication after we moved past working with him was incredibly difficult at best, until I forced conversations regarding all of the delays, and missed days work for the project to complete. Ray St. Clair needs to stand behind their promise to stay on a single project until its fully complete, and make sure its crews, and managers are on the same page prior to contacting the customer. Do I feel like what the company did to compensate me for all of the issues that surfaced with their service - No. Hence only providing the 3 stars. Ensure that if you do use them - that you get an ITEMIZED QUOTE. This will help avoid questions, when/if issues/problems arise with certain portions of your project. Woul

Called for an estimate the guy came out looked around and told me he would get the quote back to me that evening or tomorrow. I waited a few days and heard nothing back. I called their office twice and talked to a lady named Angie she told me she would reach out to the guy who was supposed to do my quote and never heard anything back. I’m not sure if it was because of the box gutters so if you do have box gutters you might want to reconsider and go with a different company.

Hired Ray St. Clair to replace some of my soffit boards. Two guys came out to replace what was bad but left one area that was to be replaced. A few months later I was noticing some areas where the new boards were coming down. The nails they used were not the correct nails. So I used the correct nails. After a few more months other pieces were coming down. So last November 2022 I called Ray and told them they needed to fix this. The guy I spoke to agreed and right before Christmas two guys came out. I was told two times they would put the correct nails in all areas that they replaced. Well, they came out and shot a compile of nails and left. They were there for maybe five minutes. I gave up on trying to get them back out. They also did some work for my parents last year fixing some areas around their gutters. The boards they replaced came down. One of the boards came down right after the guy stepped off the ladder. Ray St. Clair had a commercial stating that they stand under their work. I wouldn't trust any work that this company performs. No trust in this company at all.

I highly recommend Ray St. Clair. You always get quality work. I love how they send someone out to access the problem then the repairmen come. After the work is completed they'll send someone out to inspect everything was done correctly and nothing missed. Gives me peace of mind. They do it right!

We needed some gutter replacement on several spots on our roof as the original gutters for this home weren't large enough to handle the amount of water that comes down the steep pitch of our roof. We called for an inspection and quote. The worker came out within just a few days and knew just what we needed. We signed the agreement to have the work completed. While we had to wait a few weeks for the material, the replacement was completed with care and quality! A few days later, another inspection occurred to make sure the work was done correctly. The inspector determined we needed a few more clips and came back with those the very next day and installed them. The work has fixed our issue of excessive water spilling over the gutters and onto our mulched flower beds. We no longer have mulch running down our driveway every time it rains! We couldn't be happier with Ray St. Clair Roofing and will call them when it's time to replace our roof!

Overall, experience was good because of my project manager, Gio. I had my roof redecked and replaced, a partial box gutter reconstruction, and new liner in all my box gutters. The install of the deck, roof and gutter reconstruction went pretty good. The men working on my roof were hard working and did well cleaning up any nails. There was a miscommunication with installing the new liner and I came to find out it was completely missed. I mentioned this to Gio and another item I was concerned about and he was very responsive and was able to take care of all my concerns and complete the project. He also showed me pictures of the new roof, gutter reconstruction, and new liner which I greatly appreciated to ensure the work was completed. My advice would be to ask questions and make sure everything is completed on your invoice. We’ve had a lot of rain since my roof and so far, have had no issues. Besides the miscommunication, I am really happy with the service and quality.
