Response was prompt, salesman was detailed and spent 2 hours inspecting our roof and presentation. We learned about various roofing materials, roof problems, etc. We ended our evening at 8:20 PM and with a promise from the salesman that would return to tarp the problem area of our roof the following day (Friday). We offered to pay, he declined and did return late the next afternoon to tarp. He was here for 15 minutes and left without notice. Then we saw the “tarp” job. We were NOT tarped. He applied ice/water shield (2’x2’) (adhesive) WRAPPED around two boots. Needless to say when the rain came Friday evening through Saturday morning this did not keep water from seeping through the roof, attic and into our bathroom. Up to this point we hadn’t had a drop of water in our interior until the “tarping”. We reached out first thing Saturday morning and never received a call back. Forced to find someone else, pay weekend emergency pricing and now have damage we didn’t have before. We ask ourselves did this “tarp” job on Friday worsen the problem so we would hurry and select them to replace our roof? The answer we’ve arrived to is yes. Be careful. Don’t except help (such as a free tarping) that is guaranteed to exacerbate your original problem with the company’s hope that in your desperation you will agree to their quote. Lesson learned.

I would not recommend Mr. Good Roof. Based on my experience, they lack basic communication and professionalism, and their pricing was higher than several competitors. My original appointment was scheduled for June 22, 2026, between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. to repair a bathroom fan roof vent, fix rake trim, and replace my front gutters. I received both a text and email reminder the day before. Although it rained early that morning, the rain had stopped by 7:00 a.m. I never received any phone call, text, or email letting me know the appointment would be delayed or rescheduled. After waiting until 10:20 a.m., I called customer service. The representative said she was not in the local office but would send an urgent message requesting someone call me back. She indicated I should hear from someone soon because my appointment should have been underway. After waiting another two hours without any communication, I called again at 12:20 p.m. and reached the local office. I was told my appointment had been rescheduled to Saturday. When I asked when anyone had planned to notify me, I was told I was "second on the list" to be called, but the employee had been in meetings all morning. By that point, I had already spent more than four hours waiting at home after rearranging my work schedule. I don't understand why a company would notify a customer after the appointment window had already passed instead of before it began. This just goes to show how little respect they have for a customer’s time. I rescheduled for June 24, 2026, again with an 8:00-10:00 a.m. appointment window. Looking back, I should have hired another company, but I wanted to get the work completed. At 7:36 a.m., a worker knocked on my door and said he was there to replace the gutters. I then heard nothing else until about 10:50 a.m., when I received an invoice by email for the bathroom roof vent repair. The invoice had my name on it with signatures in two places, even though I had never signed the document. One s

My initial interactions with the company were very positive.A team of two was able to get out to my home within a couple of hours when I called about a leaky ceiling. They were professional, I felt comfortable with them, and they offered 3 options to repair my flat roof. The biggest drawbacks came after the work was completed. 1)No one had introduced themselves as the project manager the day that they came to fix my roof, so I had assumed (incorrectly) that it was the man I had been speaking with, William. When the crew left, even though I was home the entire time, no one came to the door for a courtesy, "hey, we're leaving!" moment (I have a tall fence between my front door and the parking lot, so I did not see them leave, either). So, I tried calling William the next day to ask about how it went. When I did not receive a response, I called the main office (it was only then that I was told William had in fact left the premises during the repairs and had not returned... something I feel I should have been told, but was not informed of until I was asking questions after the fact). It took a few phone calls and text messages to finally get the images of the new roof and another 2 calls after that to get the explanation of what the photos were of/how the project turned out....William was very nice in explaining what they had done when he went through the photos with me. HOWEVER. If you plan to go through insurance, you need to be aware of this part....my insurance refused to pay for any of the roof (not even the portion damaged by the Helene hurricane weather) because of their conversation with William. William & I had previously talked about how insurance would likely not pay for an entire new roof (even though I needed one) but I said I would put the claim in anyway hoping for assistance with the portion damaged by the storm. So, why won't insurance pay anything? B/c, according to Mr. Goodroof, I did not have any damage relating to the weather! Even though my ro

The change in ownership is a big loss for the customer. We had used the company over the past 3-4 years when we had minor leaks or missing shingles and were pleased. Each repair was affordable and took care of the problem. When I called this time after the Fern ice storm, they said they bought out the prior owner and they follow the same protocols as the last owner and similar pricing, so Iet them come out and inspect the roof and give us a price. They did inspect the roof but they refused to send me the quote with findings via email. They said they have to meet with me to explain what is wrong with my roof. I was not happy about that. I knew the sales pitch was coming and it did. They brought a computer and a PowerPoint. They wanted to come in my home to share this PPT. I was not comfortable inviting him in and he showed me the entire PPT outside. His pricing was 10X the prior owner. I know the repair was likely different, but it was still minor. He talked about sealing the fasteners which is basically caulking the nails along with replacing 2 missing shingles, and a few other things. He said the prior roofers left creasing when they replaced the shingles and must have been in a hurry. I told him that was YOUR company. He didn't know what to say to that and definitely did not stand by the work they did that he thought was careless. He also showed me one PPT slide that implied that most homeowners are displeased with home repairs because they went with the lowest quote and Yes he did ask during the PPT if I was going to say yes to his proposal based on what I know so far. It was so vacuum cleaner sales tactics from the old days. I guess that matches up well with their outdated name.

Tom was very thorough in his inspection. Took the time to measure and pleasant to work with. The problem that I never got the estimate I was told would come in a few days. A week later I called Mr goodroof and I was told Tom would get back to me. He called that day and told me I’d have the estimate the next day. A week later still no estimate. I was initially impressed but I had to move on and get the work done by another company

My experience with Mr. Roofs employee William Schrader was awesome he was very knowledgeable and professional, he did a full inspection in my attic & on my roof. He also did a video of the damages that were on my roof that showed me what needed to be done as well as showing me the process of how Mr. Roof installs a roof on this video. I would recommend this company to my family and friends.

We have had the pleasure of working with this fine local company for over a decade. They are responsible, accountable, available, friendly and expert craftswomen and craftsmen. We tend to favor local businesses, and could not be more pleased with our interactions with the crew at Mr. Goodroof. The experience begins with Holly up front, and continues with Will and the crew. They will help with insurance claims, will exceed expectations, and will NOT complete a job until the customer is satisfied. My only wish is that all small businesses displayed the same work ethic.
