  Generally easy process. They will charge the highest possible amount for the only flexible amount in the contract for the equivalent of the subfloor to the roof without evidence or line item of the actual pieces that needed replacing. I would try to get a specific number written into your contract before signing.

  Sir my wife has repeatedly asked for a detailed of what work you did and she was told by James that we were to get it from the contractor who modern roofing hired not me. So of course the contractor puts it on the company. So sir I'm waiting. You see the pictures rain deflector to short,the long pipe is leaning and when it moves it makes noise,and the short vent pipe was installed silver they didn't even try to hide it then when it was brought to there attention they came back when we was not home and painted it black. Sir still waiting

  Modern Roofing must think “No Soliciting” signs are decorations and parking laws are optional. They ignored a huge sign, knocked on my door in the middle of the day, and parked illegally in front of my mailbox— stopping my mail delivery today. Then they had the audacity to parade up and down my street like they were on a sightseeing tour all while parked illegally. Completely unprofessional, rude, and law-ignoring. If you enjoy pushy salespeople who treat neighborhoods like their personal playground, Modern Roofing is your dream team. For anyone with common sense or respect for the law? Run the other way.

  I had previously went through other roofing companies. They were not proficient in dealing with insurance. Joseph Langston had stoped by told us what he could do with the insurance, and get us upgraded from a 3-tab shingle to architectural shingles. The process went smooth and according to plan, I now have a new roof with all problems fixed. I highly recommend Joseph Langston with modern roofing. And I love my new shingle color! Great job!

  Outstanding Experience with Modern Roofing! I highly recommend Modern Roofing to anyone needing a roof replacement. From the very beginning, Carlos Keith, the Project Manager, handled our project with professionalism, honesty, and efficiency. On June 1, 2026, Carlos knocked on our door after speaking with our neighbor and offered to inspect our roof. We already knew it was nearing the end of its life—about 18–20 years old—and had endured years of severe storms, including Hurricane Helene. Carlos guided us through the entire insurance process, working directly with both us and our insurance company. He took care of every step and made what could have been a stressful experience incredibly smooth and straightforward. When installation day arrived, the Modern Roofing crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and completed the job as scheduled. The workmanship was excellent, and the cleanup afterward was just as impressive. Our property was left spotless, and our new roof looks fantastic!   PRO: I would like to thank Xavier Moye for his excellent service. He took the time to explain and work with the insurance company. He was accommodating when an emergency came up and delayed the installation. He is the ONLY reason we went with Modern Roofing. Con: The installation team was good but only spoke Spanish so asking questions or coordinating concerns had to be done through an APP or a call to their supervisor. I have no issues with them speaking Spanish; however, at least one person should have been able converse in conversational English. This was not the case.

  Xavier Moye was extremely helpful and very well mannered. He knocked on my door after noticing that my roof had damage, even though I was not aware there was an issue. He was very knowledgeable about roofing and took the time to clearly explain the damage he found. The entire process was smooth and efficient. Xavier provided a free roof inspection, showed me photos of the damage, and earned my trust, which led me to choose his company, Modern Roofing. Xavier handled the insurance claim process for me. Even when my insurance company initially said they would only cover repairs, Xavier continued to advocate on my behalf and ultimately helped secure approval for a full roof replacement. He was professional, confident, and supportive throughout the entire process, and I am glad he reached out to me. Modern Roofing did an excellent job installing my new roof, and I even received a free upgrade to architectural shingles. I highly recommend Xavier and Modern Roofing to anyone with concerns about their roof or anyone who has had a claim denied in the past. They are definitely worth contacting.

  I found out about James King through one of my neighbours, my neighbour told me about modern roofing and that James takes great care of everything from begining to end. He went up on my roof and found hail damage and he got State farm to pay for my full roof replacement. The crew was amazing and my roof looks great. James King is the number 1 on the board always.

  Work was done quick and the roof looks good. The 'maintenance agreement' however has a clause at the end that obsolves Modern Roofing from any damages done to anything on the property by Modern Roofing/their contractors regardless if the damage was accidental, neglegent, or intentional. I would suggest NOT signing that agreement.
