  Modern Day Roofing came out to give me a quote on a repair job - they never quoted me on the repair, just upsold and quoted me for a whole roof replacement. Then when asked if we could do a pay at closing (Win-win, they sell a whole roof, I don't come out of pocket immediately) they took 5 days to tell me no. Terrible Customer service. - Reply to yours - You seem to think its a financing related problem. I offered a win-win solution and you delayed 5 days of my project from a lack of replying. THAT is unprofessional and the reason for the complaint. I understand if you dont want to finance stuff. You should just say that rather than taking 5 days to. Also, no, Joe did not say that they were unwilling or unable to make a repair. He said quite the opposite. That it was possible but wouldn't be cheap, but would be cheaper than a new roof. You're replying as an owner who wasn't there for the conversation.

  Hi Brandon, We’re posting this reply to set the record straight. The roof on your renovation project has a layer of metal installed directly over shingles—a method that can conceal deeper structural issues. During our inspection, we discovered signs of rot in the decking and moisture intrusion. At that time, it was explained that a repair would be ineffective, non-code-compliant, and not something we’re willing to do. We follow code and do things the right way—that’s the standard we hold ourselves to. Instead, we recommended a full replacement to properly address the underlying problems and protect the next homeowner. As for the timeline: Joe let you know during the appointment that he’d follow up on Monday—and he did. While we understand that waiting can be frustrating, the response was provided within the timeframe that was clearly communicated. You also asked about paying at closing, which we try to accommodate when possible. However, in this case, the home still requires several updates before it can be listed, and no timeline was provided. That would mean covering the full cost of materials and labor without knowing when we’d be reimbursed. We’re not set up to finance real estate closings without legal protections in place—something we trust you understand as a licensed agent. We always aim to be transparent, professional, and solution-focused. You're absolutely entitled to feel frustrated, but calling it “terrible customer service” because we declined to provide in-house financing and refused to compromise our standards doesn’t reflect what actually happened. —Modern Day Roofing

  Excellent job al the way around. From sales installation and follow-up it was a professional job. I highly recommend your company for any roofing job.   No more worrying about shingles blowing off or if my roof is going to leak. I’ve got 50 year shingles and a 30 year warranty! Shout out to Modern Day Roofing. They did an absolutely phenomenal job and even matched my wishing well for free. (Never mind that hideous color! lol) All my neighbors have called or stopped by and commented on how nice it looks and how quick they knocked it out. 4 hours later, everything was tidy and you couldn’t tell they had been here. Thanks so much to my son, Jake Perdue, Salvador, and the rest of their crew!

  We had the old roof removed and replaced as well as 5 windows replaced. Our experience was as Modern Day Roofing advertises. Great communication, no surprises, great respectful crews, quality workmanship, and all work completed in a timely manner. We did not have to pay until work was complete even when weather kept pushing out install dates. After we hired them, we learned coworkers had used them as well with the same experiences which was very reassuring. The window work went well, and I am now planning to have them swap out all remaining windows. Extremely happy with our experience with the Modern Day Roofing.

  I highly recommend Modern Day Roofing! From the very first phone call to request a free estimate, I was impressed. They scheduled my appointment promptly, arrived on time, and provided a very fair and reasonable estimate.   Austin, Trey, and a helper showed up on short notice at 4:00 on a Thursday afternoon. McGrady Perdue, while servicing my AC, found a hole in my roof from a 3” rotten oak tree limb that the wind had blown. The forecast for that night called for rain and if Modern Day Roofing would not have shown up to patch the hole, I would have had a mess. The weather delivered heavy downpours that night. They were a godsend and I can best describe their help as providential. Thank you!

  I was not looking forward to having a new roof installed. But it was a pleasure working with Modern Day Roofing. From the very first meeting on getting a estimate and the timely return on messages and Emails. Keeping me and my wife informed on the process and picking out shingles to match our home. Informing us when they were going to deliver the material and the day they were going to install the roof. The crew that install the roof were very respectful to me and my wife and took great care in covering the border around my home to catch the debris from my old roof. One of my jobs at my work is teaching autonomous team work. I could tell that each crew member add a role and they performed their roles with efficiency. From removing the old roof to prepairing the roof for the new roofing and getting all the material upon the roof. Each trip they made off the roof and back on they were carrying shingles and tools or material that was needed. Or hooking up air hoses it seemed no trip off the roof was wasted. My wife and I provided some bottled water for them in a cooler of ice and I watched the guys getting two bottles at a time. But when they got back on the roof they would pass a bottle to another crew members. At that time it showed me that they not only cared for the work that they were doing but for one another. and it showed in the the Quality of the work they did. The clean up and the follow-up went just like the roof install. I would highly recommend Modern Day Roofing. Thanks

  i would highly give Modern Day Roofing a a plus for their roofing job, from the representive that quoted us a price, Trey Hylton is as honest as he can be, told us exactly what to expect from the company and they followed it too the letter. The job was finished in one day's time as promised. our job cost a little more than Trey quoted us but they run into some unexpected problems. after they finished i went out to clean up to find it was cleaner than before they started work. IF YOU NEED A ROOF I HIGHLY RECOMMED THIS COMPANY. THANKS GUYS OUR HOME HAS NEVER LOOKED BETTER. DOROTHY & LARRY BOWLES
