  Mobly Brothers got someone out to us, relatively quickly, to check on an issue we were having with water intrusion. A recommendation was made and we agreed to have the recommended work done, as we wished to ameliorate the leakage issue expeditiously. After several days we heard nothing. I called the owner and asked when we would be scheduled, to which he replied “you will be called the day before we come out,” which in my experience, working with contractors, is a somewhat unconventional and inconvenient method of scheduling work to be done on someone’s home, particularly when time is of the essence. Another week passed and we heard nothing. Then torrential rain and winds hit Knoxville, thus we became very concerned about our water intrusion issue. Again, I called the owner to inquire when we could expect to have our repairs done or at least be given a ballpark estimation. His response was curt, defensive and dismissive; rather take it or leave it, if you will. When I asked why he responded to my inquiry in such a defensive manner, he told me he didn’t appreciate someone “questioning his way of doing things.” I have to wonder if he would have spoken to my husband in the same way, but suffice to say, we will be looking elsewhere for someone to service our roof. It is only natural to wish to be spoken to respectfully and given at least a timeframe, when working with a contractor, as our time and schedule is of value as well. I will not work with a contractor who acts as though they are doing you a favor if and when they show up, whenever they please, mind you, to get paid for the privilege of doing a job. For me. That is not how business should be done IMHO.

  Hello Ms. Carney, I am sorry that you felt disrespected in our conversation and that your experience did not meet your expectations. My repairman came to your home on August 1, 2023 to inspect your roof and you've posted this review on August 11, 2023. At that time of our visit, you let us know that you were going to seek other opinions. You called a few days later and indicated you wanted us to perform the repair. Coordinating a roof repair in East Tennessee is a little bit different than employing other types of contractors. Due to the unpredictable nature of our weather, we don’t schedule repairs until a day or two before we expect to perform the repair. We do this to avoid disappointing our customers and constant rescheduling. Unless it is an EMERGENCY, we complete repairs in the order they are booked. The storm that devastated Knoxville on August 7, 2023 has delayed some of our repairs and I apologize for any inconvenience.   Had them come out to give me a quote on my roof. They did not even get on my roof to check it out, just told me they were going to replace all the decking boards not matter what. They never got back with me

  Ms. Ogle, I am sorry that you were not happy with your experience with our company. I sent one of my foremen out to look at your home. My foreman did not get on your roof because of its poor condition, he felt it might have been dangerous for him to do so. You have a one-story home on a flat piece of property, so from the ground he could easily see your roof. While he was there, he spoke with you and you did not agree with his assessment. He let you know we would need to do substantial framing repairs and proper roof decking installation. The rafters are rotting and also might need to be replaced. Other repairs needed to be made, but the structural repairs were very concerning for us. We determined from your conversation with him that you were not interested in pursuing a roof replacement, gutter installation and necessary additional repairs.   I had an appointment today. And something occurred with office staff. I had at 9AM and at 929 AM I recieved a call and was canceled. I was very disappointed, but I did recieve a call from owner. I totally respect that he called and even though I am not using his company I respect the call and his service.

  It’s Sunday, ending a weekend of torrential pouring, and suddenly, my living room ceiling decides it wants to become a water feature. Panic level? A solid 11 out of 10. I called expecting an automated voicemail. Instead, Mike Mobley (the actual owner!) picked up the phone himself. While I was busy hyperventilating, Mike was the ultimate voice of reason. Despite the awful weather, he got a crew out to apply a temporary patch that same day to stop the bleeding. Over the next 48 hours, Mike basically became my roofing therapist—sending me text updates and progress photos, and gently talking me down from the ledge of homeowner despair. By Tuesday, the full repair was perfectly done. If you want a company that treats your emergency like their own—and an owner who answers the bat-phone during a weekend deluge—look no further. Highly, highly recommended!!!

  I am so glad I found this company! I needed a small section over my front porch patched at my home in Maryville. Don came out to give me the estimate, reviewed the details and fixed the section very quickly. It has rained heavily since then, and no leaks! Laura was extremely friendly and very communicative. I was even contacted by Mike, the owner, a few times. Even more impressive is how honest this company is. My roof is 20 years old and other companies had informed me previously that I needed a new roof asap. This company did not recommend a new roof and insured me, based on inspection, that i had at least 3-5 years left. I will definitely be using this company when the time comes to replace my roof!

  Mike and Aaron were great to deal with. Their guarantee on their work sold me. Standing behind a product for that long says a lot. Now things in life don’t always go as planned. The day we got the installation done a mistake was made. Somehow despite paperwork being correct, we ended up with the wrong color shingles for the roof. They actually started installing them. But we, client and company saw it and addressed it. Mike made sure things were made right. He immediately took action and had a truck there with the correct colors and his team worked well after sunset to get the job done as best they could as rain was forecast for the next day. The work was completed around noon. Mike didn’t make any excuses. He took responsibility and made it right. The roof looks amazing but it’s second class compared to the professionalism and customer service he applied making it right and seeing that it got done. I appreciate it and if you need a roof and a company that states behind their work hire this company! Again thank you!

  We have used Mobley Brothers Roofing & Renovation twice now. We first needed their services back in October of 2018 for a minor roof leak, which I explicitly recall them being prompt and efficient at helping us — and no more leaks since then! Recently, we called them again to help with another water situation. This time, our entire gutter span at the rear of our house had been overflowing, as well as running behind the gutters, rotting the fascia. We had another company out about one year prior, and their recommendation was to simply change the pitch. Not being experts, that solution made sense at the time; however, it proved to be incredibly unhelpful, and we hesitated to reach out to anyone else after paying for that job. We finally pulled the trigger and reached out to Mobley Brothers after learning they install gutters, too, and we couldn’t be more happy about that decision! Someone from Mobley Brothers Roofing & Renovation was able to come out for a quote on the same day I called them. We found out we needed new fascia and fascia wrap, new drip edge (which was missing entirely), new oversized gutters, and we chose new gutter guards due to lots of mature trees at a neighbor’s lot nearby. The quote we received was beyond reasonable and quickly agreed upon. Scheduling was prompt, and the crew arrived within mere days of initially reaching out. Upon completion, we could not be more pleased with yet another outstanding job! Our gutters flow properly for the first time in years.
