  I’m not the guy to leave reviews, but as a small roofing company owner I feel obligated to. I have done everything to start a roofing company in the past year to defy how slimy the industry is. Licensed, bonded, insured, certified…everything done right. I started marketing last week with yard signs and placed trackers on them. Of course a sign went missing and drew me straight to a house with a Barnett Roofing truck in the driveway. I have always respected Barnett, but was told directly by the culprit (salesman) that he was told to steal roofing signs. This is not only theft, but completely disrespectful to the small businesses trying to accomplish great things in the industry. I don’t pay insane amounts of money to market because I understand the higher the overhead expenses, the higher the customer price (thus my companies name, “Overhead Roofing”). That said, business is business, but if you want local roofing/gutter services please give the smaller guys a shot. The look in his eyes was priceless…I mean who puts a $30 tracker in a $10 yard sign? It’s all based on principle.

  I recently replaced our roof with Barnett Roofing a few weeks ago. I reachered local roofers and got 5 quotes. Although it was $1000 more than my lowest quote, I ended up going with Barnett because they were the only one with a 5 star review and they said they could get it done in 1 day. I really felt good going with them after talking with the Carl who first came out and gave me a quote. He really encouraged me to go with them as they would arrive at sunrise and be done before sunset. On the day of the install the site manager, Ronald told me there had been a mix up on the schedule so although he was there at sunrise there was no crew, no materials and no dumpster. So he started making calls and got everything going just before 10am. Becuase they started 3 hours late they didn't finish that day and had to cover the remaining unroofed section with a tarp. It was forcasted to rain until 11am the next day. I got a text at 10:30am saying the team was finishing up but it was raining pretty hard at that point. They finished at 11am just as the rain was ending. After they left I started feeling frustrated that they decided to take the tarp off and finish the rest of the roof while it was raining. From what I researched online there is a high chance that the shingles on the final section won't adhere correctly and that rot and mold will damage the section that it rained on. So although they tecnically got everything done they really made 2 major mistakes that may really cause me serious issues in a few years: 1. They scrwed up the scheduling so they didn't start until 10am 2. They rushed the job and finished before the rain stopped. I probably should have gone with the 2nd guy that gave me a quote, Roofing by J.M.J. as his quote was $1000 less and I bet he would have done a better job. He wouldn't have rushed it and roofed it while it was still raining. I also reached out and contacted both Carl and Ronald explaining I was frustrated and asked for $500 off since it got bot

  Very disappointed with Barnett Roofing. They have come back 6 times already and it is still not done properly. We have been asking since July for David Barnett to call us and personally look at this job and how numerous shingles still have black tar all over them. They were supposed to come back yet again tomorrow and we are waiting 2 days just for a time to be confirmed and no one has even gotten in touch with us. We are tremendously disappointed we chose Barnett.

  Outrageously expensive! Owner acts very immature; not professional at all. He came out to inspect my roof in the pouring rain. He never got on my roof! He wanted $20,000 dollars for a new roof on a 1470 sq ft rancher.

  Hello, not sure what you mean because the quote we sent you was for $15,632.00. If it was raining and you wanted a new roof quote on a low pitched rancher there’s really no reason to get on the roof. There is an additional quote to you for removing the entire chimney siding and replace with all new siding AND a chimney cap.

  Had our roof replaced earlier this year. The guys who did the work were nice and they were extremely quick. Unfortunately, after the old roof was off, we were told that the cost of the replacement would be an extra 3000 dollars than what we were quoted. The decking needed to be replaced and when I questioned why didn’t the inspector tell us that who quoted us, they told us that she no longer worked for them. That did not feel satisfactory however with the roof already off we had no other choice but to pay. Luckily for us we had extra money at the time, but for those who don’t, please be aware that your roof my end up costing an extra 45% over what you have been quoted. Also we paid in cash and it was sort of a hassle trying to get a receipt that day that included the extra 3000 we were charged.

  We are very pleased with the work Barnett did replacing the roof on our house last week. They kept us well-informed throughout the process. The crew was efficient and hardworking. They did a very good job cleaning up the debris and nails. Recommend.

  Had a puncture in the roof at one of our rental properties, and Eric came out today and took care of it right away. He was quick, efficient, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing — a great job all around. This is just the latest in a string of projects we’ve had done through Barnett, and every time has been a pleasure. Professional, responsive, and reliable — exactly what you want from a contractor. Highly recommend.

  They did an absolutely amazing job on my roof, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! They were incredibly nice, helpful, and responsive throughout the entire process. I got quotes from several roofers in the Knoxville area, and they offered the best deal by far. Wes especially was amazing. He was extremely kind, helpful, and kept me updated every step of the way. I had a few other things going on and wasn’t able to be at the house during the project, but Wes texted me pictures and updates throughout the entire process so I could see the progress as it happened. That meant so much to me and made the whole experience completely stress-free. They also did an excellent job cleaning everything up and had everything taken care of within a day. The whole process was quick and so easy. I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would 100% recommend them to anyone needing a new roof or roof repairs.

  Matthew and his team did an amazing job repairing some damage on my deck roofing. They were quick, communication was great, and the job quality was excellent. In the future whenever I eventually need to do a full roof replacement, I will be contacting Barnett Roofing!
