  I wish I could leave negative star review. 2 months ago I had Daniel hood come give me an estimate for a leak I had in my roof. He said 899$ to fix leak. I payed. He has been out 6 times to try and fix the leak. No improvement , and still …

When we met on-site, we agreed together to start with targeted, lower-cost repairs before committing to a larger scope — an approach meant to save you money rather than begin with the most expensive option. The initial work was $899, and we applied a 100% credit of that amount toward the more comprehensive repair we later recommended once the source became clearer. In other words, we didn't refuse to help — we offered to return and complete a thorough repair with your full $899 credited toward it, not as a new charge on top.   Unfortunately , my experience with Daniel Hood Roofing was not satisfactory. There were issues with communication and a lack of clarity throughout the process, which made the situation more stressful than expected.

  If I could give 0 stars I would ! I signed a contract with the company then was told the materials I picked out was not available I then went back and forth for weeks with Clint and eventually he said they would be able to refund my deposit he said it would be the full amount a week or so later no refund then when I asked again he said oh sorry the boss forgot I'll check and see when he is sending it then nothing he would not answer the phone or text I then call from another number and what do you know he answers and says he'll find out and call back that was Friday nothing from him but I spoke to the office today Monday I get 625.00 out of 3700.00. Is what I was told they said you signed a contract it does not matter what you were told by our employee so I feel like I have been scammed. Do not recommend

  Estimator ( Mac) came out. Nice guy talked 45 minutes about everything but the roof. I Reviewed what I needed. Said quote would be ready in 4-5 days. 5 days later Got a call to schedule appointment to go over quote. Asked them to just send it to me via e-mail. They refused. The company felt like a time-share sales pitch was about to happen, high pressure sales tactics. Not interested. Can’t speak to their work but their sales tactics were a big red flag for me. For reference, second company that came had quote to me in detail in writing 2 hours.

You’re correct we do not email quotes as there are too many different options in roofing and we believe you should have a choice in those products.   This is a review of their scheduling and business practices. I first reached out to them in late July to come out and inspect my roof. They said they would have someone out on August 12th. On August 11th, they called saying they were short handed and bumped my appointment to August 22nd. On August 21st, they called saying the same thing and moved it to August 29th. On the 28th they called saying the couldn't come until September 16th. At that point I cancelled the appointment. I understand setbacks and labor issues, but don't just drag it along and keep the customer expecting you to fulfill an appointment when you can't. Just bad business.

  Hey joseph, you are right and we have messed this up. If you have time, I would love to personally run your appointment. We have went from 5 reps down to one at the moment due to some crazy unforeseen instances (family emergencies and personal injuries) but this is a business and we should do better.   Job not done to satisfaction. Hired Daniel hood to replace some lose and missing shingles on my 80 year old mothers house. They gladly took the job then upsold us on “soft wash” and various other things that did not need to be done. The soft wash ruined the stain on the home and Daniel hood roofing disappeared. Won’t return calls and is absolutely avoiding us. Stay away!! They are charlatans and liars.

  Leanne, this is the owner responding and it is good to hear from you. And thank you for having us out. I’d like to address some of the comments above. I completely disagree that we use the cheapest products. We show every customer the best product for their home and our expert recommendation on what the home needed. In this case, it was a full roof, gutters and gutter guards plus wood replacement as well as wood work to close gable vents for proper ventilation. No one else did this because no one else knows us. We were the only company that quoted a flat roofing solution that met code while, the quotes you showed me from competitors, didnt even meet code for knox county and both their contracts violated state law. We showed this during our presentation in which you took over 2 pages of notes and we spent 3 hours, on a Saturday. You even asked us to Purchase your own materials from Lowe’s. Not our typical business process but we agreed to help you get the roof you deserve. Let’s boil this down to what it is. We are not the cheapest Company. We are the most thorough and we will put on the best roof the meets code. You didn’t want code installation or the best products. We can’t help someone like that but I’m very happy you did find someone to do what you want, because you’re not the customer we want that is asking us to sacrifice our core values and disrespecting our sales manager, who spoke with you many times after 8pm.

  Daniel himself came to our home for a roof inspection and estimate. You couldn't ask for a better person to work with. He goes over all your options and explains the process very well. Daniel did everything he said and if a unexpected problem pops up, he is quick to find a solution. Daniel Hood Roofing is great to work with and outstanding quality of work.

  Overall, great experience with getting my roof replaced. Kolby was great and responsive. Had an issue where an extra vent was missed and he followed up and made sure it got installed afterward. Roof has held up fine for a month with zero leaks so far. Pricing was on the higher side but the one year same as cash financing was what I needed. I’d use them again.

  We needed gutters/downspouts installed. Casey came out and gave us recommendations. She was very thorough with her inspection and explanation. After the install, she came back to make sure we were satisfied with the work. We highly recommend Daniel Hood Roofing!

  I am very happy with the work Daniel Hood did on our home. We had them replace the entire roof and I highly recommend them. I met with multiple roofing companies before deciding on Daniel Hood. I was impressed with the amount of time they took in inspecting my roof and also just going over the various options and pricing. It was very important to me to have a reputable company work on my home and I just felt like they were super professional. The crew was here when they said they would be here. The job was finished when they said the job would be finished. Don’t even bother talking to any other companies just hire them.
