  These people are predators for your wallet

  This person called looking for a free estimate. I explained the value of our appointment, asked him if it sounded good to him, he said no. He was looking for less, he just wanted someone to tell him how much it would be. I explained to him our value and we could be up to 3 times more than asphalt, he stopped me and told me that he doesn't know how much an asphalt roof is but, he can't imagine our material being more than 3K and then labor. I told him unfortunately if he is looking for a Metal Roof from us for less than 5K that we probably wouldn't be the roofer for him, and I wished him best on his hunt for a new roof.

  I requested a quote and set up a time for the sales guy (who, it turns out, was also the owner) to come out and take measurements. The guy shows up, takes measurements, then spends the next 2 hrs using high pressure sales tactics like giving quotes that were "only good until he walked out the door", throwing around a lot of calculations without showing me how he got to the final numbers, and suggesting I was "smart enough to understand" without him explaining. The quote for aluminum shingles wound up being at least 2x higher than any other quote I had received (which included standing seam). If I installed it myself then it was only 1.5x higher than the next highest quote. If you bring this guy out, be mentally prepared. It's rough.

  Hello Andrew, I'm sorry you had a bad experience! I haven't been on a sales call in almost a year (with the exception of a couple recent appointments as we enter our busy season) However, cannot find you in our system. I'm the owner and having a hard time thinking of situation that would be "high pressure"? The products we install for folks are not for everyone but I can tell you it has to be a product you chose yourself. We give people options at various price and performance levels. And they say yes or no. It's that simple! In 32 years I haven't been accused of being a high pressure guy. We have literally thousands of happy customers throughout southern Wisconsin and never (until now) been accused of being high pressure. I hope you find a roof that is right for you and I'm sorry we could not help. Best regards, Jack

  There is a lot to review as the process from starting my roof to finishing my roof took 4 months and 2 days (and that does not include the time it took to deal with some issues that I had before the project began). The Good: • Jack Gugger (the owner) always answered my phone calls and if he was unavailable, he would get back to me very soon. • Aside from a flimsy drip edge (that was not as advertised) on my lower roofs that are standing seam, the roof does look good (second story roofs are rustic shingle). Neighbors have stopped by to comment on how nice it looks. • Foreman was knowledgeable and accommodating to my concerns. The Bad: • After I had signed the contract, Metal Roofing Systems tried to increase the price as they claimed they had forgot something in their bid. • Project took way longer than expected. The foreman would often tell me he was going to show up and then would not show up. • My crew was subcontracted by Jack, which means there is less accountability to him or his standards. I asked Jack if he subcontracted all his work out and he more or less refused to answer me (Jack was always courteous and kind unless he felt you were being critical of him). • Drywall ceiling was damaged by water due to improper covering of roof during construction. When I told this to Jack, he refused to accept any responsibility and suggested I probably had water damage there before the project began (I watched the water drip into my house where I had not had water dripping before). • Three different kinds of underlayments were used on my house; one of which began to peel and separate after exposure in the Sun. • The original contract for my roof included installing the rustic shingle on my lower roofs, which (unbeknownst to me) would have been installed outside of the manufacturer’s specifications, which would have voided the warranty. Ultimately, I found the specifications and Jack defended himself by claiming that he had installed it in many applications like mine an

  Wonderful company! We met with Jack for a few hours to go over all the options and he even checked our attic space for moisture. I had 3 other roofing companies give us estimates and none of them spent as much time or were as knowledgeable as Jack. Metal roofs are more pricey than traditional asphalt, but Jack played out how the financials compare over time and when you factor in never having to install another roof it’s a no brainer. When it came time for install, Jack’s crew were very friendly and considerate of our home. We have little ones and they made sure to work around our schedule and kept the yard clear debris at the end of each day. We have 2 other roofs to do and will be going to Jack and once we’re ready. I’d give 5 stars to both Jack and another 5 for his crew if I was able. Very impressed!

  Excellent rapport and quality of work. Good up front education about pros and cons, value and where to save money. Worked with us to find a tile type that would meet the neighborhood roofing requirements (historic neighborhood). Repeatedly checked in to make sure that we were satisfied with the progress and product. Happy with the final roof and gutter guards.

  Stopped in to discuss my roofing needs. Everyone was professional,courteous,listened and offered input regarding my project. Metal Roofing Systems delivered exceptional customer service. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to have a professionally installed roof or inquiring about a "DIY" kit.

  Although we did not use Metal Roofing Systems, Eric was very nice and presented himself and the company in a very good manner. The products are nice but not what we were looking for. There was no hard sell nor pushyness.

  Metal Roofing did everything they promised with quality and professionalism. I have never gotten a compliment on my roof until now. The metal roof really enhanced my home. And I am comforted by the fact it is the last roof I will ever need because the quality and lifetime warranty.

  I purchased a home with a pre-existing metal roof. As luck would have it, a month after closing we discovered a leak infiltrating the attic. The good people at Metal Roofing Systems came out and did a spot repair but also pointed out the rest of the ridges were vulnerable to the same leak. They got me a great deal on parts, showed me how to install it myself, and were highly responsive whenever I encountered questions. They even came out to check some of my work!

  I was extremely happy in my experiences with Metal Roofing Systems Inc. The estimate was given very promptly. This was very important to me as I am a small business owner myself. Arrival for appointments were prompt. All details were immediately discussed. I was so impressed with the company rep , the product & the warranty .I signed the contract that day. They met all time lines stated. Clean up was through. When I had a question on a final detail they came back out & addressed it immediately.

  Just had my metal roof installed and it looks GREAT! Nothing but professional from the presentation, to the workers! They showed up timely every day and cleaned up every evening until the project was completed. I am SO happy with how it turned out and best of all... no more leaks!! I highly recommend Jack and Metal Roofing Systems of Madison to anyone needing a new roof, they are hands-down the absolute best!
