  There has been some changes with ownership in the past. That once were respected. I now consider them one of the worst on the West Coast of Florida. Do yourself a favorite and look elsewhere for any roofing needs you may have. My Opinion. Jim B Sarasota

We would like to clarify that the service performed at your property was limited to roof cleaning; we did not complete any roof repairs or replacement work. Because no repair work was performed, the source of the leak was not part of our scope, and the leak is not covered by a workmanship warranty from the cleaning service. We understand how frustrating a roof leak can be and would be happy to discuss the issue with you directly and explain what options may be available.   If I could I would give 0 stars. I would direct anyone not to hire Mark Kaufman Roofing. All we wanted is a new roof. Instead we got a huge mess. They broke 2 rose bushes, 3 outdoor lights, made a mess of our fence, left over 30 nails in my yard, oil stains in my driveway and in the road in front of mine and both my neighbors house. It took alot to get a hold of them. They passed me on to 4 or 5 different employees. One who came and put white powder on the stains and told me that it had to be rinsed off within 12 hours. 48 hours they came to rinse it off, so then I had white stains all over. They left over 30 nails just in my front yard after doing 3 sweeps. One nail with went through my shoe into my foot. They offered me 500$ credit towards roof cost. I did not want that. I wanted them to undo all the damage they had done. After finally speaking to the Vice President Keith he informed me that his liability insurance would not cover any of this. They were all nice before the job, and all Nasty after the job. Made a total mess at my house. I would advise anyone to steer clear of Mark Kaufman Roofing.

It's also crucial to mention that your roof installation has passed all City building inspections and is compliant with The Tile Roofing Institute Installation methods, ensuring its safety and durability.   Well I spoke to soon on this company, what roofing company would cover up wet insulation and then when they got caught refusing to fix the problem, I will be going to court to resolve this problem, they blame everyone but themselves, now I have to worry about mold, shame on them, bad company for not replacing the wet insulation you suck

  So having to change my experience from 5 star to 1. The initial experience with Mark Kaufman roofing was great. Everything seemed to go well and looked fantastic. While they were putting on the ridge vent I noticed it didn't go the whole ridge opening but I'm not a roofer and didn't really think much of it. Hurricane Ian came and went and we have extensive water damage to our ceilings in multiple rooms that just happen to be directly under the areas where there is no ridge vent under the ridge cap. I have contacted William my sales person multiple times and was told that it is not a problem that they caused and was from the wind driven rain. After contacting another roofer and getting a letter from them stating that it is infact not properly sealed did someone call me saying they would come out and look at it. Well I had an appointment for 9am this morning. Took time off of work to finally try and get some resolution to our disaster caused by Mark Kaufman roofing and in continued fashion no call no show. I have texted the operations manager that was supposed to come out but no response. Will be taking the next steps to get this issue resolved. STAY AWAY FROM MARK KAUFMAN ROOFING!!!!

  I wish there were zero stars. We were recommended this company by a neighbor. They replaced our roof in June 2022. They were by far not the cheapest so we thought the service would have been better. The salesman who came out told us that once we were customers we would get priority in any hurricane or other issues as far as repairs. I have been calling and leaving messages since Hurricane Ian, I have done the online request, and I have called and texted the salesman. Not one return call. I understand the magnitude of calls you were probably getting but you can't tell me that once in the last four months someone couldn't return one of my many calls. So my husband goes to their office and the lady in the office basically called him a liar saying their salesman doesn't say that. All we wanted was for them to check our roof. But never mind turns out we need a new roof and will be calling someone else as she told my husband they are only doing full jobs and not repairs or inspecting roofs. Customer Service goes a long way but is sadly lacking nowadays. But I guess after you get that big check you don't care about your customers.

  I have used Mark Kaufman Roofing on 4 separate jobs and they exceeded my expectations each time. They included flat roofs as well as tile. I will certainly use them for any roofing job in the future.

  I am rating Mark Kaufman 5 stars for their care and response in providing the estimate. Kyle was thorough, courteous and provided the estimate fast. In the end we had to go with a different contractor because we needed the services sooner and this contractor was booked. The services provided: inspection, estimate.

  Replaced the tile roof on our 26-year-old home. Everything went smoothly from the estimate through completion. Protected our pool and plants and cleaned up after each phase. Very pleased with their work. Highly recommended

  We recently had our tile roof replaced and wanted to share what a positive experience it was. The initial consult was with Kyle, who took the time to explain the entire process and answer all our questions. No pressure, just great information and excellent customer service. During the tear-off phase Josh was our point person who also kept us fully informed on the process which was completed in two days by a crew who were very focused and took the extra time to make sure our property was both protected and cleaned thoroughly after they finished their work. The tile delivery came shortly after followed by crews who loaded the roof and completed all the remaining prep work. Installation followed shortly after. With David as our point of contact for the installation phase, we were well informed of what was happening during the entire process. Once completed they returned to power wash our driveway, sidewalks and pool area as a final part of their service, I have watched a large number of homes in our neighborhood have new roof installed and Kaufman Roofing is the only one I have observed taking the extra effort once the job was completed. The entire project took 7 working days over less than a two-week span. This alone speaks volumes of the quality of work and organization Mark Kaufman Roofing provides their customers. The choice to use a local company who has its own dedicated employees paid great dividends. Additionally, the customer portal gave us a place to follow the progress, to pay our billing installments and to ask any questions that came up along the way.

  Mark Kaufman roofing replaced my roof in 2020 during all the chaos of covid. They did a fantastic job. I highly recommend this company, their warranty is beyond reproach. I wish more businesses operated like them! Their workers work hard and are extremely proficient at their jobs! Thank you so much for the quality work. I tried to give your workers a 12 pack of beer to say thanks for the hard work. They very politely said no thank you. 🌟 yall deserve a 6th star.

  I recently had new Gutters and Downspouts installed. They did an awesome job. Had to take old ones down and reinstall new gutters. Crew was very efficient and knowledgeable.

  Need a new roof? Look no further than MKR. Our experience with MKR was one of excellence. In 2024 we had a tree fall on our house in hurricane Milton. Our roof was damaged and like a lot of other families our roof needed to be replaced. We waited18 months but the end result was worth the wait. Our journey with MKR started with a home visit from William Laity. He got on the roof and took a video showing us ( and documenting) the actual state of our roof. From there we received a biweekly calls from their office checking to see if we had any leaks or issues. Once you are under contract with MKR they become stewards of your roof. William also met us at the tile showroom and really helped us through the process of picking our new tile and gutters. They also have a portal so once you are green lighted for your project the plan is then memorialized. When I tell you that MKR has a fine tuned process- I truly mean it. They have crew that removes the old tile; a crew that delivers the new tile; crew that installs the new tile and a crew that makes and installs the gutters right on site. Every day the crew cleaned up after themselves and left everything spotless. I couldn’t believe it. Their employees are W-2 employees and many of them have worked10 plus years together. They are a family and perform as such. We had 80 bags on mulch delivered during the installation of the new roof. It arrived a few days early and was placed on the grass. To share the integrity of this company, when I went inside to care for my 88 year old mother and came back out to start moving the mulch the guys had already done it. They did it all on their own without anyone asking. It brought me to tears, I was so grateful. The quality, integrity and compassion of this company and it’s people is unparalleled. Please, give them a call.
