Mango originally replaced my roof and gutter system in August of 2024; they did a good job, completed quick and at a reasonable price. Everything was done per the home inspector and Mango’s own recommendation; nothing was forgone. 18 months later the gutters did not withstand winter weather. I had Mango come out to assess, and contacted their warranty claims department. They are refusing to replace the gutters and repair the roof fascia under pretense that “just right weather conditions” were met and that the attic did not have proper ventilation. The ventilation was not a recommendation at time of original work, and the old roof and gutter system had been in place for many years without a similar defect occurring. If ventilation could have been recommended in the first go, I could avoid this now $1000+ repair. Mango was a good option for initial replacement, but unfortunately it appears they do not stand behind their product or work.

After reviewing the situation and performing an on-site inspection, our team confirmed that the gutter system was installed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and current building code requirements. The system included the proper spacing of gutter hangers and was securely fastened to the fascia as required by industry standards. We did not identify any installation deficiencies or workmanship issues related to the original installation. The condition that occurred this winter was the result of an ice dam event. During periods of heavy snowfall followed by freeze-thaw cycles, large amounts of ice and snow can accumulate along the roof edge and inside the gutter system. When this buildup becomes heavy enough, it can place significant structural load on the gutter assembly and fascia board. This winter season in West Michigan produced widespread ice damming events, and many homes in the area experienced similar issues regardless of gutter age or installation. Because the system was installed correctly and the damage resulted from an extreme weather-related ice load rather than a workmanship defect, it unfortunately falls outside the scope of our workmanship warranty.

They tried to work with my insurance company after identifying “damage” to my roof. They were not able to work with Auto Owners effectively as they were trying to win business in an unethical way. If this company approaches you in your …

We had an outstanding experience with Mango Roofing! Sophia and Orlando were incredible... attentive, punctual, helpful, and genuinely pleasant throughout the entire process. The materials and crew arrived exactly when promised, and the job was completed right on schedule. The quality of work was top-notch. Even better, they worked directly with our insurance company to make sure everything we were entitled to was covered, saving us thousands of dollars in the process. If all goes well, I won’t need a new roof for another 25 years or more, but I’ll be confidently referring Mango Roofing to anyone who does!

Mango was very active in our insurance claim for our roof repair from start to finish and worked very hard to get as much coverage as possible for the damages done by wind and hail. They did an excellent job matching our roof and had great turn over and workmanship. They had excellent communication and I would definitely use them again if I need any roofing services in the future.
