  BE CAREFUL! In April 2024, I chose to work with Mark after he went into the attic and recommended adding air flow to get rid of the ice in the winter. Now as of January 2025 please see pictures of ice on roof edge. After calling Mark, I was told it was an insulation problem however I have insulation in the roof over top of the rafters. This picture show my roof after paying over $16,000 for a new roof and repairs!

  We were informed that the home had a history of ice dams. While we were replacing your roof we installed baffles in the soffit area, bathroom exhaust vents, ridge vents, and repaired the damaged soffits, this was done to allow proper air ciculation in your attic during extreme weather like we’ve had the last few weeks, The current weather conditions create a thaw and refreeze on roof edges. If snow is not cleared from over the top of the ridge vents, your attic cannot vent properly, and that built-up of heat will cause the snow to melt along the eave edges forming ice. In addition to clearing the snow off the ridge vent, clearing the snow off the eave edges can also help reduce the source of icicles and ice dams.

  Had them put a roof on my house. It leaked and they refused to repair the roof. Said it was the chimney. Had that fixed, chimney guy said that it was shoddy work by roofer. Would never, ever have them as a roofer again!! Some of the shingles have come off, too.

  Bad service after roof installation. 30 year roof after 21 years has a 6' long bad valley. Roof to be replaced 7-10 years. Sherriff Goslin refused to do this easy repair unless the Whole half of roof a GOOD roof is replaced!? Makes no sense, unless it is to sell roof job that is unneeded now. Will Not be calling them for our new roof. Too bad.

  Update after meeting with Mike: In 2001, when Mike bought the Art-Loc roof from Sherriff-Goslin, there was a 20 year factory warranty on that type of shingle, not 30 years as it is today. There was also a 10 year full service guarantee through Sherriff-Goslin. Even though the warranty and guarantee have both expired on his 21 year old roof, Sherriff-Goslin is working with Mike on a resolution to his valley concerns and the work will be completed in the month of May.   Had them out to do an estimate. Apples to apples, they were slightly more expensive. Dave V. came to our house to review their bid. He got done with the presentation and asked if I was ready to sign. I told him that I wanted to wait until I had the other bids. He got up and started to get attitude with me a grabbed his stuff. He asked what other companies. I told him another company that had 4.8 star rating. He started to be little that company. He accused me of wasting his time. If you like pushy, high pressure sales, then go with Sherriff Goslin. I am not going to feel bad about wanting to see other bids. He threatened me with the “this is a one time offer”. Try out Jobson roofing. You won’t regret it.

  Sent a request for a roofing estimate over the weekend. Got a text message from Mason VerSluis on Monday 9/30. We exchanged texts, said he would reach out to me on Tuesday or Wednesday of the same week. Today is Monday 10/7, never got back with me. Spending my money elsewhere it seems. ***Update 10/8. They responded with an apology on here, but did not reach out to me personally. And they edited their response here as well. Great, taking responsibility for not following up with me as they said they would. But... They blame me for the lack of communication, I responded the same day they initially contacted me. Never said or texted that I was , "sometimes be hard to get a hold of" ?? Not sure where they came up with that. Mason's Military service (Thanks for your service Mason, I too am a Veteran, as well as my wife) has nothing to do with why I wasn't contacted. Guess I'm just not the other 99% that deserves it. Good luck to you reading this, hope you're not in the 1% like me. Lol.

  I watched sales representatives mock, laugh at and humiliate a potential customer at the Cottage and Lakefront Living expo in Grand Rapids this weekend. I have never seen a sales person act so cruelly and offensively. He should be ashamed by his disgusting behavior. It is amazing this company is in business with horrid employees like this.

  Simply the best in Michigan! Sheriff Goslin is respectful, masters of their craft and truly care about the customer (you)! I cannot praise the high quality work and the care for you as a person and your roof needs. Mark Williams is just phenomenal! If you need any roofing repair or replacement; there is no better place to go in Michigan! As a retired veteran, the respect, the care, the curtesy and professional care cannot be matched and I highly recommend them to anyone needing repairs or replacement.

  The roof was already installed when we bought our house. It looks great and has held up very well (we’ve been here for 11 years so far). We had a couple of shingles that needed attention, and Jason came out right away to help us. It has been a pleasure to work with this company.

  Honest and trustworthy company. After finding a small leak in our roof, Jason was able to come out the next morning to quickly diagnose the issue and patch up the area of concern during the inspection. Arrived right on time, professional and prompt service. We are customers for life now :)

  I called Sherriff Goslin Roofing because the company that installed our roof is no longer in business, and I suspected a small leak. Their receptionist (a real person!) was so nice on the phone, and they were able to come out days sooner than anyone else. Will (Project Manager) was able to quickly identify the problem and explain solutions in a way I could easily understand. He even added some caulk to the vent pipe that was causing the issue. I greatly appreciate the service provided, and will continue to use Sherriff Goslin Roofing in the future and recommend them to friends and family :)

  I called Sherriff Goslin in a panic due to an ice dam causing a leak in my ceiling. Mark Williams came out within 2 hours. He was so kind and helpful! He showed us what tools we can use to prevent them in the future and educated us on how roofs work. He answered my many questions, and I feel confident we can take better care of our roof in the future. I'm extremely grateful for his time and information and he will be my first call for any roof related issues I have in the future. I can't recommend him enough!

  Jason came and inspected my roof. He caulked the problem areas around my vents. He was so polite and efficient. At the end, told me there was no charge. I couldn't believe it. I will definitely use them when I need my shingles re-done.
