Neighbors went through legend after a hail storm in champaign. Saw the sign in the yard and called. Met with a salesman who said he will lookfor damage if i signed a contract and basically tricked me into signing. He went through my insurance company and was able to find damage with them during an inspection. He went and charged thed insurance comapny almost 20 thousand dollars on a 2000 sqft home for a complete tear off. They even went back to charge more as materials prices went up from when they gave me a quote to spring when they were actually able to do the work. Several people who did not speak any english came to do the work some of them seemed young to be working. They left nails everywhere and several neigbors had nails in their tires. My car also had a roofing nail in the tire which they said they would reimburse but made me take the car and waste my time to repair. They also never showed where i was reimbursed. One of the workers shot a nail gun and cracked my glass screen door. Which they did replace after finding what happened on a video camera i have on the property. Finally they put plywood over my brand new air conditioner out side while it was running. Workers never asked me to shut off the ac probably because they didnt know how to talk to me. Which triggered my system to auto shut off. It is a brand new high efficiency furnace and ac which i had to call my hvac company on my own to have them figure out why it wasnt working. The error code showed the fan was blocked creating pressure and triggering a safety shut off. Video camera also found the cause (plywood completely covering fan). Would not give your business to them. You can thank me later.

The Legend team knocked on our door and asked if they could inspect our roof after a recent hail storm in Champaign. The man who appeared to be in charge was so rude to his employee it was hard to watch. After they climbed down, the salesman insisted we had hail damage and thrust a contract into our hands to sign. We declined and called the company who replaced our roof last year, they came out and inspected the roof and said there was no hail damage.

Wendy, it's unfortunate to hear that you saw an interaction where you felt one of our employee's was rude to another employee. At Legend we always practice coaching one another and supporting each other, and to hear you saw something … More

Outstanding Roofing Experience with Legend Exteriors & Construction I cannot say enough great things about Legend Exteriors & Construction and the incredible job they did on my roof. From start to finish, the entire experience was smooth, professional, and completely stress-free. This is a company that clearly takes pride in its workmanship and customer service, and it truly shows in every step of the process. A special mention absolutely goes to Jim Hobson, the salesman who coordinated the entire operation. Jim was exceptional. From the initial consultation to the final walk-through, he was knowledgeable, responsive, organized, and genuinely invested in making sure everything was done right. He took the time to explain all the options, answered every question thoroughly, and kept me informed at each stage of the project. His communication was clear and consistent, which made a huge difference and gave me complete confidence throughout the process. The roofing crew itself was outstanding. They arrived on time, worked efficiently, and demonstrated excellent craftsmanship. The attention to detail was impressive, and the quality of the work exceeded my expectations. They were respectful of my property, kept the worksite clean, and made sure all debris was thoroughly removed at the end of the job. When the project was complete, the roof looked fantastic—solid, clean, and professionally done. What really sets Legend Exteriors & Construction apart is their professionalism and integrity. There were no surprises, no pressure, and no shortcuts. Everything was done exactly as promised. It’s rare these days to find a company that combines high-quality work with outstanding customer service, but Legend Exteriors & Construction truly delivers on both fronts. If you are looking for a reliable, honest, and highly skilled roofing company, I would strongly and enthusiastically recommend Legend Exteriors & Construction. And if you have the opportunity to work with Jim Hobson, yo

From the moment we contacted them to the moment our job was completed they were AMAZING! Not one point in time did I have a negative experience or was I left with any remaining questions. They were very professional even on my rough days. I will 100% go back to them the next and the next and the next time I need anything done. Even with putting up with crazy neighbor they handled it and gave me peace of mind. I would recommend them before any one else period!
