  Lapeyre Roofing may have a lot of 5-star reviews, though I'm not sure how, because I sure didn't get the 5-star treatment. In May of 2026 they replaced my 20-year-old leak free roof with a new Fortified roof that leaks and has the nails backing out of the ridge vents. They made one attempt to fix the leaks that didn't work and now won't even return my phone calls. I thought it was imperative that I warn as many other potential customers as possible about the way this company really works. If by some miracle things change, I will post an update, but I'm not holding my breath.

  I had Lapeyere Roofing install my fortified roof and let me tell you...they were phenomenal! They worked through rain delays (back when it used to rain around here) and installed a fantastic product! I settled on them because of the extra attention they provide to their customers. Anyone looking for a fortified roof, or any roof really, you need to get with these guys.

Here in NOLA, a roof replacement is a process, and homeowners deserve to see it happen, not just the finished result. This photo was taken mid-installation on a recent job, with old shingles torn off, underlayment rolled out, and our crew working from the eaves up to the ridge. You can see the layered approach: underlayment down first for a dry deck, then shingle courses set in straight, consistent lines with correct nail placement and exposure. Every valley and hip gets extra attention since those spots are most likely to leak if rushed. Material is staged on the roof in sections so the deck is never left exposed to New Orleans weather longer than it has to be, and torn-off shingles go straight into a trailer instead of the yard.
