We are long into the process of getting repairs on a new construction roof installed by Kidd and under warranty. Two failed repair attempts and these guys keep flaking out on me. Below is the no BS timeline. Bottom line, they seem to not be able (or willing maybe?) to support their own product. Keep in mind, for all of these no shows and broken promises someone has to be home waiting for them in case they actually show up. 5/26 - Hector called and said someone would arrive on 5/27. No show. 5/28 - I called Hector and he said it was a scheduling error and rescheduled us for 6/1. 6/1 - tech showed up, looked, and said we’ll be back on 6/2. 6/2 - No show 6/3 - called Hector and asked when they were showing up. He said after 4 PM on 6/3. 6/3 - 3 PM they finally showed up and worked on the roof. No english speaker, but I managed to get enough to understand that a vent was resealed. 6/5 - Rain - roof still leaking 6/8 - Hector calls and says they will replace three vents on 6/9…on the same day he emails and says the work will occur on 6/10… 6/9 - I left a voicemail with Hector asking whether techs would work on 6/9 per the phone call or 6/10 per the email. I got no response. 6/9 - for some reason the builder, Brightland (aka DRB) sent the drywall guy to repair the wall while the roof is still leaking. My wife was home and didn’t know to send him away so he made repairs to the drywall. Not the roofer’s fault, but worth mentioning to better understand images. 6/10 - I called again and Hector said the repair guy(s) would arrive between 5 and 6 PM. Another no show. 6/11 - after originally being scheduled to arrive no later than 1 PM, the tech arrived at around 2:30. I did get an email about the delay. They worked for some amount of time then disappeared without letting us know they were done. 6/15 - It rained last night and water has again soaked through the drywall and paint. I’ll update if they finally get around to fixing our leak but honestly, I don’t have h

Communication was great when we had our roof installed, but a year goes by and we come across a potential installation issue, and I wanted to see if it was covered by the warranty. Contacted the company about the issue and it's like pulling teeth to get any type of response. Just a bunch of "we'll get back to you soon" with zero follow up. Update: Kidd Roofing indicated they had talked with my tenant about the roof issue and determined it was satisfactory. They had my contact info, so not sure why they are communicating with my tenant about it. Also, I had 3 other companies come out to look at the roof and all three thought there was likely water damage under an area by the chimney. I used one of those companies to do the repair, and long and behold there was water damage due to faulty workmanship from Kidd Roofing. The warranty I was promised ended up being useless since Kidd Roofing determined there wasn't any issue. Ended up paying $750 to get the issue fixed.

This is the third year in a row that after a light storm, did not go over even 9mph, we’ve had shingles replaced on the same side of the roof EVERY. SINGLE. YEAR. Since the house was built December 2020. This is only a three year old house. Initially, they came out and replaced shingles since it was under warranty; but this year they’re saying it’s not covered because the storm this year is what caused the damage. If that was the case, we wouldn’t have needed replacements the last two years as well. Not to mention this “storm” was probably the least windy of the past years and we don’t even live in a crazy area for weather. It’s too new of a roof to be having this many issues. They want $250 to come out and inspect their own shoddy workmanship. No thank you!

I would never use their services based solely on the atrocious and dangerous driving of their staff members. They nearly rear-ended another car is dense traffic on the interstate. They clearly do not have empathy for those around them, and that is simply not a company I would trust with something so valuable - my roof.

I was almost run off the road by a company truck. At the corner of Pecan and wells branch! I've tried to contact the company but absolutely no one ever answers the phone! Horrible professionalism and shows poor values

SPENT $15K+ REPLACING WRONGFULLY INSTALLED ROOF - AVOID AT ALL COSTS: I have the whole story below but in summary, I had to replace entire roofing after only 5 years of Kidd Roofing new roof installation due to horrific workmanship and labor butchering the job. My roof was replaced by Scott Nelson from Kidd roofing in 2016 for $11,000. Within 2 years of the install there were minor leaks seeping in the house that I got fixed and within 5 years the entire roof had multiple leaks + dips forming. A few weeks back in 2021, I started seeing multiple additional leaks in the house from the normal rains in Austin. At this point I decided to get professional roof consultation by Kidd Roofing and multiple other roofing companies. Turns out, instead of tearing down the shingles and underlayment all the way to the decking, Kidd roofing labor in an attempt to save cost, installed underlayment on top of previous underlayment. Also, there were several places discovered where the nails were drilled right through the shingles. The install job done by Kidd roofing was both hasty and unprofessional due to which the new roof started to give in only 2 years post-replacement. Here's the real catch - When I called them to inform them about the problem, I was ignored and given the silent treatment. I had one person from Kidd roofing show up after a week from the initial call for a consultation who told me 'He needed to get actual engineers here'. Those 'engineers' called me to schedule a time and were a NO SHOW for the scheduled time. I called and left voicemails to be completely ignored. Things get even worse - When an 'engineer' (Paul) did finally show up, he checked out the roof and bolted... literally ran away. Instead of talking through the roof and repairs needed, I saw him put his ladder in the truck and simply leave. I was never contacted by anyone from Kidd Roofing again. Multiple times during this process I had to tell myself 'This has to be a Joke' but the only joke here is

Jayme the roofer touched me (wrapped his arm entirely around my waist): Without my consent, in broad day light and asked me to come up on the roof with him. He additionally wanted to know if the 2 floor window was unlocked and if it was a bedroom? Kidd roofing... Vet your employees better!!!

We had a great experience working with Sean! We are happy we moved forward with his suggestion of adding turbine vents. We have noticed a difference in our home being cooler, and our AC is not being overworked by keeping up with this summer heat. Best decision we made was going with Kidd Roofing!
