  Here are the facts. 1. She made the previous roofer refund her as well. 2. There was nothing wrong with the work they completed. 3. She went against my advice of replacing all the screws. That was her idea. 4. She didnt pay me 1700 for the screws because they were 1.5” instead of 2”. I only charged her to fix a small area, pressure wash the roof and replace a fan. 5. Her metal roof was previously installed over shingles and had some areas that were rotten and wouldnt hold a screw unless it was sealed. I walked away because she is impossible to deal with. Now she wants money for something she didnt pay for. You cant make this up

  PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS AND SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF HEADACHE. I SEE THE GOOD REVIEWS BUT IM ASSUMING THEY ARE MOSTLY FOR SHINGLES. I HIRED DAX TO INSTALL A METAL ROOF ON MY DETACHED 2 CAR GARAGE AND OFFICE. I MADE MY EXPECTATIONS CLEAR THAT I WANTED IT TO LOOK GOOD AND TO BE DONE PROPERLY. HE ASSURED ME THERE WOULD BE NO PROBLEMS. UPON FINISHING, THE WORK LOOKED TERRIBLE (IF IT WILL LET ME POST PICTURES I WILL). THERE WERE OLD NAILS UNDER THE PANELS IN MANY PLACES LEAVING LARGE DIMPLES, THE TRIM WAS CUT IMPROPERLY AND INSTALLED IMPROPERLY, AND HE LEFT A LARGE PILE OF DEBRIS BEHIND. I BROUGHT THIS TO DAX'S ATTENTION AND HE REFUSED TO MAKE THE REPAIRS BECAUSE IT WOULDN'T BE WORTH IT FOR HIM. I TOLD HIM I WOULD RATHER HIM JUST FIX IT AND I WOULD GLADLY PAY. HE SAID HE WOULD JUST EAT THE JOB AND CONTINUED TO THREATEN ME WITH HIS CREW (WHO APPARENTLY LIVE IN COLUMBIA WHICH SUGGESTS THEY AREN'T PART OF HIS COMPANY). HE SAID THEY WOULDN'T BE HAPPY BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T GOING TO BE PAID. I HAVE THIS ENTIRE CONVERSATION RECORDED. I ALSO HAD TO FILE A POLICE REPORT SINCE I DIDN'T KNOW THE CHARACTER OF HIS CREW. HE THEN TAKES ME TO COURT BECAUSE I REFUSE TO PAY SINCE HE WOULD NOT MAKE THE REPAIRS. THE JUDGE ONLY AWARDED HIM HALF OF HIS MONEY SINCE HE DID PUT THE PANELS ON THE ROOF AND BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE TO HIRE ANOTHER ROOFER TO FIX WHAT HIS CREW MESSED UP. HIS ONLY DEFENSE IN COURT WAS THAT I WAS A NARCISSIST PERFECTIONIST AND THAT I HAVE NEVER PUT ON A ROOF BEFORE. I TRULY BELIEVE HELEN KELLER WOULD'VE DONE A BETTER JOB. CHECK MY PHOTOS 5-16-20 - IN RESPONSE TO DAX'S RESPONSE, IM WRITING NOW BECAUSE THE REPAIRS WERE JUST RECENTLY COMPLETED FOR ME TO DOCUMENT WITH PHOTOS. I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THAT I HAVE NEVER BEEN UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR INSURANCE FRAUD THAT I AM AWARE. THE ONLY TIME I HAVE EVER HEARD THAT IS FROM DAX HIMSELF. IF I HAD TO GUESS, HE PROBABLY MADE A FALSE REPORT TO THE INSURANCE COMPANY SINCE I WOULDN'T PAY FOR HIS POOR WORKMANSHIP. ALSO, HE DIDN'T

  I hate airing dirty laundry here and as any thoughtful person can imagine there are personal details that played a huge part in keeping Andy and I from resolving our issues. All anyone needs to know is that six months ago when we completed this “shed” roof that had been neglected for a year and needed half the wood replaced, Andy was, to my knowledge, being investigated for insurance fraud of which my testimony played a part. Its interesting that he’s just now leaving a bad review. His counter suit was thrown out and I offered to accept half of the 2000 owed just to get him to pay. He has an axe to grind with me. As far as my workers, after Florence I had to bring in other crews to keep up with the demand. They only ever worked for me and I put them up for weeks at a time. Ask yourself, what kind of person types and texts in all CAPS?

  John had his old gutters removed a year after we installed a new metal roof. As you can expect after 10 or 15 years they found rotten wood. For some reason John wanted me to pay for the rotten fascia. We had nothing to do with the gutters or fascia that had rotted over the last ten years. His roof is installed as it should be. What John doesnt understand is that treated wood fascia does not rot out in a year or two. I dont mind fixing or paying for things that are my fault. I paid over 600.00 for a specialized HVAC exhaust cap we broke a few months ago. Im not going to accept responsibility for something clearly not my fault so as to avoid a negative review. Honestly it was insulting.

  Unprofessional, unreliable, and disrespectful. Dax and his crew damaged my property while doing the roof and assured me they would fix it. I paid him for the work completed and he said he would be back to fix the damage. After his failed attempt to fix the damage, which he tried to blame on me after the fact, he was then unreachable. We contacted him several times with phone calls and text messages that went unanswered for several weeks. Eventually he responded that he didn’t feel “obligated” to do the repair and to “not contact him again”. I can’t advise against his business strongly enough, I don’t write reviews often, but given his bad business and out right dishonesty, I felt the need to share. I’ll be following up with the better business bureau and have already spread the word to coworkers and friends in the area.

  Fortunately... William’s, really Elizabeth’s complaint, isnt about his roof. Its about a small pvc well pump pipe on the ground that we went back and fixed a week later. William decided to turn it on before the glue had set up and “broke” it again. It was a simple repair. This is an extremely busy time for roofers and many people are desperate for help. I have customers living in hotels waiting to rehab their homes. I made a great effort to get to William and Elizabeth’s roof quickly and they surprisingly seemed ungrateful. We did a great job and the roof looks great. To be called and harassed so often about an unused pvc pipe I already fixed appeared selfish. I was willing to go back when things slowed down to re fix it but after a disrespectful text I moved on. I too give William and his wife ⭐️ one star

  We had our siding completed, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We’ve had several homes done in the past, and nothing has come close to Hallman Roofing and Siding. Dax and his crew are meticulous, pay incredible attention to detail, and are some of the best and most reliable contractors we’ve ever worked with. We highly recommend them and will definitely be using Hallman Roofing and Siding for the siding and roofing on our future investment properties and homes

  They were absolutely amazing!!!! They did fantastic work, were very attentive, punctual, observant, responsive, accommodating to my wishes, perceptive, understanding, and considerate, even down to my dog being nervous with the sounds of process of putting on the roof. They were absolutely the best and I would highly recommend and use them again.

  I can't say enough about how pleased I was by Dax and the crew. I left Dax a message early on a Sunday morning and he called me within 15 minutes. He spent a great deal of time with me on the phone going over everything with me and gave me a quote right then. Being that I had a few other quotes from shady companies, I knew he was the roofer for me due to honesty and fairness. And wow what a fast process. Spoke on Sunday and my roof replacement was started on Tuesday and finished by early afternoon that Wednesday. The crew working at my house were very considerate and made sure I had clean areas for getting the dogs in and out. They made sure everything was was put away and cleaned up during and after completion. I can't say enough about Dax and his business. He was very responsive and very patient waiting for my insurance company to release all the money. Thank you Dax!!! I am so glad I remembered people using you after Florence and how very pleased they were as well. Thank you for being one of the few honest businesses out there anymore. I hope you continue to succeed at what you do. I will highly recommend you to anyone MY NEW ROOF IS BEAUTIFUL!!

  Dax came out, took measurements and texted me a quote that evening! He was quick to answer calls and respond to my texts. It was a small porch metal roof job but I was pleased with his promptness, courtesy and most importantly the final result.
