  Greg did a great job of explaining the entire process and leveraged a drone to capture our roof. We discussed some unique challenges and he proposed great solutions. His quote was responsive - as in we gave it “a few minutes” and I was the email in hand. Mike and team did a great job in doing the work and communicated throughout the 2-3 days via text, phone, and photo links. I really liked meeting GREG AND Mike in person. Then there’s Gina. She too communicated operational aspects such as when the sumpter would be delivered, removed as well as being the person to communicate changes in scheduling due to weather. These folks are all hard working and nice to deal with!!

  Golden Shield Roofing went above and beyond through every stage of the project. Pricing was very competitive and they even threw in the next step up for the shingles, copper chimney flashing, built a cricket for the chimney, and a ridge vent and inflow vents for free! Another company quoted me an additional $3,000 for just the ridge vent. The sales rep Shawndel was very thorough and helped my wife and I understand each aspect of the roofing system and process moving forward. Matt, the owner reached out to us directly to confirm specifics and answer any questions we had along the way. Gina the coordinator kept us in the loop with permits, dumpster delivery, and everything we had questions about. She even went out of her way to look up a few mold remediation companies local to us based on the best reviews. John the super intendent on build day kept me in the loop first thing in the morning, through out the day (with a link to 370 photos that he had taken through out the day documenting the entire process) if I had any questions, and even at 10:30 PM when I had a question about the inflow vents, he got right back to me. We have a big oak tree that was covering parts of the roof. He trimmed it back away from the roof free of charge. He even moved back our grill, table and chairs to make us feel like the job was complete. Our entire property looks untouched except for our amazing new roof! The fact that they worked all day to get it done until the very last ounce of sunlight is awesome. I never write reviews for anyone good or bad but Golden Shield Roofing as a whole offered such an incredible value, transparency through the whole process, and really looked out for us each step of the way. I had about 5 different companies give me quotes but I kept seeing Golden Shield Roofing on my social media and something told me why not just get one more quote. I’m very glad I did!

  Golden Shield Roofing was so easy to work with from start to finish! Excellent communication when there was a need to reschedule due to rain. I highly recommend based on their professionalism and quality of work. Edit- can't speak highly enough about the attention to detail! One of the site supervisors was the last one pulling out at the end of the job and stopped their truck to take out the magnet roller to do one last sweep from where the work vans had been parked. I have 2 small kids who play in that area and knowing the staff did such a thorough job gives me peace of mind that their little feet are safe from stray nails and debris.

  From start to finish Mike and his crew were outstanding! Mike was on-site all day and kept us up to date with the progress, both in person and with pictures. The roof looked wonderful and the crew did a great job cleaning up everything before they left. We highly recommend Golden Shield Roofing!

  Both my husband Brian and I were impressed by their work. Put two long days in over the weekend to do our roof, soffits with lots of angles. They cleaned up beautifully, very pleased with their customer service and follow up. Both Mike and Connor were on site, informative, and friendly. Definitely recommend!

  I had an amazing experience with Golden Shield. I have high expectations and they fulfilled them all. Greg our initial point of contact was very knowledgeable about the product. He went at my pace during his presentation. A job well done. He worked all hours of the evening into night to help solidify the deal. This helped me since I was very busy during the day. He explained items multiple times and reassured me of the customer experience. Once I committed it was seamless experience. Gina reached out to me to give me updates on the smallest items. I really appreciated that. They use email, texting, and phone calls depending on what is best for you. She was very caring knowing that this was a very large project here and she could sense my stress. Thank you Gina. Lastly Mike introduced himself to me as the onsite project manager. He was very detailed person taking all my questions and always having an answer for me. He wanted to make sure when they left everything was better than when they arrived. He stayed here during the project. He took a ton of pictures and drone footage. He posted the footage to your own specific project so you can see live updates of the project being completed. I highly recommend getting a quote from them and giving them a try over the other big names here in CT. I was completely satisfied and the project was above my expectations.

  I interviewed 6 roofing companies. I chose Golden Shield because they are a Ct company, they explained everything during the quoting process, kept in communication as job day approached, had a supervising person in communication during the entire job, and the quality of the roofing system they offered. The crew that showed up worked as hard as they possibly could. From the first contact with Shawdel, to Gina who kept me informed, to Mike who was there with the crew on job day, they were all great. Heck, I think I talked to Conner on sales day and spoke with the owner, Matt, just after I signed and again the day after the job was done. Great company, great people, great product, at a very reasonable price from the start. No introductory high price that you have to negotiate down. This was the tactic of two others I interviewed. Golden Shield, I hope I don’t need another roof in my lifetime but I will certainly recommend you to anyone I come across looking for a good roofing company.
