I would not recommend going with this group. I chose them because I was recommended by Wes who had done great work for me before. It started with the initial appointment where I had moved several of my patient appointments around to …

They don’t stand behind their work, they make excuses and charge you to repair.

I set up an appointment for 8am for an estimate. By 9am I had not heard anything. I called and they took a message and called me back about 20 minutes later and said it was raining and they would come out when it dried up. There was only a …

Misdiagnosed. Wanted >$1k to replace 13'x4' of shingles with no guarantee, when contractor found it to be water coming up from the gutter.

They came out on a Friday to give me an estimate on roof repair. The guy said they will email me the estimate by Monday no later. I called Tuesday after I didn't receive an email or phone call. The receptionist had no clue who I was or that my house had been even looked at. She told me to call back after lunch, 2 days later still no response

Townhome was installed with new roof and internal natural gas line was penetrated by roofing nails. Yes, there was a courtesy to contact gas company and shutoff main gas line once gas leak was detected. However, they will not accept responsibility for paying anything on these repairs forcing me to pay $1000 to fix and allow the gas company to turn the main gas line on after repair. Do not use these guys as damages to home are expected.

I had a HORRIBLE experience with these people. Gilstrap Roofing replaced my mom’s roof in Mauldin, and poked numerous holes in the gas line which could have been tragic. Thankfully nobody was home. They took NO responsibility for the damages. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

While working on replacing the roofs on your townhome complex our project manager identified a "sulfur" smell indicating that their could be a natural gas leak. We noticed this while tearing off the front portion of the roof on your mothers unit. We did what we thought was appropriate and spoke with the local natural gas company who identified the leak was coming from her unit via the meter and shut the gas off. They did an under-the-door gas test with a device they had and found that there was no reading for gas in the living space. As explained by one of the reps from their company, natural gas rises and that is why the smell was evident from the roof and none was detected in the living space. We posted a note on your door to contact us and heard back when someone was back in town. Photos were sent by someone taking care of the property showing an alleged location where a nail had hit the gas line. It was obvious from one photo that the nail was NOT contacting the gas line. In addition, the nail that was shown was a sheathing nail that was used when the townhome was built, not one installed by our crew. At the point that the leak was discovered we had not replaced any wood on the unit. We received the bill and notification through the Better Business Bureau about the complaint. I read both invoices from two separate plumbing / HVAC contractors who had worked to fix the gas leak and contacted them both. In speaking with both companies, both stated that there were no punctures of any type in the gas line. According to the two HVAC companies that you hired, one leak was due to a leak at the manifold and another from where a regulator valve was leaking, which was much too far from the roof deck to be damaged by nails. It also should be noted that the HOA of your complex hired an HVAC contractor to inspect the 80 remaining units that had yet to be roofed and there were multiple gas leaks found at valves, joints, etc. prior to us even starting work on those particular

Junior at Gilstrap roofing has helped many of my clients with their roofing needs! Gilstrap is professional, personable and communicative. But most importantly they care and do all they can to accommodate the needs of their customers. Being such a pillar in the Upstate communities for over 90 yrs. speaks more than a review can but they completely deserve the recognition!

Gilsrap Roofing did an amazing job! They got everything done & cleaned up quickly, only 2 days. Another thing they did was to get the approval of my home owners insurance! This was great! I had been turned down about 6 time previously for hail damage that had occurred 3 or 4 years before! Now my new roof looks amazing and added value to my home!

Gilstrap did a great job. Curt Finnamore was excellent in explaining our options and troubleshooting potential issues. The crew who did the work were very efficient, professional and cleaned up thoroughly when the job was complete.

Great guys! they were working at a neighbor's house the day after our neighborhood got hail. We asked if they would come look to see if we had damage on our roof. they did an extensive check of the roof and refused to let us pay them anything. Stetson Shiver handed us his card and simply asked that if we knew anyone who needed their services to call them! In this day and age to have someone do ANYTHING for free is unheard of. I love the integrity.

This company did a great job from start to finish. Just one suggestion, clean up the green things a little better. Found several around outside of house that should have been cleaned up. Chase is very kind and considerate and understanding. Thankful for a company you can trust & rely on

Gilstrap put a new roof on our home and separate garage and did an excellent job. They replaced plywood where needed. We needed soffit repairs made and they coordinated the repair. I have recommended them to friends.

Tasha and Brian have been great to work with! We had a roof leak at our business that they were able to fix. Jessica was very helpful in setting up our appointments and Chase was thorough when he came to give us the quote. The work was completed quickly and efficiently. Would 100% recommend for all commercial and residential needs.

I recently had my 82-year-old small home re-roofedhed by Gilstrap Roofing and I am pleased to say they are an exceptional roofing company in my opinion. Eric Martin who was the estimator who came out was the main reason I chose Gilstrap, not because of our name being the same, but because he was a no BS kind of guy with that easy going Southern approach. I have five estimates and Eric was the only one who didn't pressure me and offer me one time deals that day, the old dog and pony show. They gave me an extremely good quote Eric was instrumental in putting this whole thing together. First I want to say also that getting a roof is a very messy job and until Jonah came in at the end and pulled everything together it was a bit stressful my stress is something typical of this sort of operation. Marcus and Jonah were the two site supervisors with Marcos showing up the first day getting the crew ready and answering all the questions I might have. Jonah was the one at the end that really took a Hands-On approach on the new roof and did the final inspection with a fine tooth comb. I feel that Jonah was the one who really put the icing on the cake on this deal. Thank you Jonah for that final extremely good inspection! I recommend Gilstrap Roofing and Eric Martin as my estimator. Five Star All The Way

Although there was an initial mix-up on the appointment time for repair, Gilstrap very professionally was able send some very polite and nice fellows to accomplish repairs that same day. Very satisfied with the help and the work. Good company.
