  Ask them on Thursday about repairing the roof they said they would send a contract they never did when I come call this morning they said I had to wait 3 weeks! Absolutely poor communication and service!

  Mr. Barber, apparently when our guy was out there to do the repair quote, he told you the price verbally and you told him you did not have the money to do the repair so we did not send you a written quote. When you called Friday asking for the written quote apparently the estimator that looked at your property had already left for the long holiday weekend so we were going get the quote to you today (9/6). When I received your voicemail from yesterday (9/5) you stated that you wanted the work completed tomorrow (9/7) so when I spoke to you this morning I wanted to make sure you knew that we are currently at about 2-3 weeks out for repair work, depending on the weather of course, I am sorry for any confusion you may have.

  This is the most unprofessional roofing company I have ever worked with. The workers don’t tell the truth about the work they have completed or in my case failed to complete. The owner states he doesn’t want our business due my husband exposing his untrustworthy employees. I don’t recommends this company unless you want to get swindled.

  Maria We apologize for the misunderstanding in regard to your roof repair. The bad wood that was on your house extended over onto your neighbors roof and we could not replace it with taking their roof apart as well. There was a mistake in our billing department and you should have never been billed for the work that was done. We take our customers and reputation very serious and would never intentionally try and “swindle” you out of $375.00. Again we apologize for the misunderstanding. Regards, Steve G.

  The owner of the company Steve went to my property and stated that he will send his estimator to assess and give me an estimate. It has been over a month and no Gilpin roofing technician or Steve returned to make an estimate despite multiple phone calls I made and the company rep on the phone promised to get somebody to my property. Well, I guess they pick and choose who they wish to service. I am not sure why. Maybe because they found the property to a difficult one and they do not like the challenges or because of my looks. No matter how good the testimonies are (they usually pick only the good reviews), they way this company treated me is a non-starter. I will not recommend a company who chose to ignore customers based on how they like you or not.

  It has been an absolute pleasurable experience working with Gilpin Roofing , from Steve coming out to give a free estimate to the amazing Mrs. Tina who scheduled and kept me updated regularly……I can’t say enough about how safe and professional Jeff and his team worked to complete my entire roof removal and replacement in one day , including a meticulous cleanup…..Simply outstanding service ….   The owner was incredibly knowledgeable and timely with repairs after storm damage. He offered several different options for repairs and was extremely friendly and polite. Would highly recommend for your roofing needs.

  I don't write many Google reviews, but Gilpin Roofing absolutely earned this one. I was selling a home and needed a roof inspection and some repairs done on very short notice. They worked me into their schedule, were flexible throughout the process, showed up when they said they would, and completed the work quickly and professionally. The quality of the repairs was excellent, and the whole experience was completely stress free. It's rare these days to find a contractor who combines great communication, responsiveness, and high-quality work, but Gilpin Roofing did exactly that. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone in the Hampton Roads area who needs roof repairs or a new roof.

  They arrived early not only replaced the roofing but also the plywood which was from when the house was built in 1958. The worker moved and covered everything in the yard near the house, haven't found any scraps in the yard, The roof looks great and everyone we worked with were very professional.

  Only roofing company we would use. We have used Gilpin Roofing since the 1990s, and my parents had this company replace their Mansard roof in the late 1990s, early 2000s. Locally owned, NOT A FRANCHISE. I wouldn't trust my roof to anyone else. The owner is great to work with and delivers superior workmanship and quality. You cannot go wrong in using this company for whatever roofing needs you may have.
