  No show. Scheduled a service call 2 weeks out - fine. Service crew never showed up, no contact from the office about any potential delays or rescheduling. No response to messages about timings. Disappointing.

  I was highly disappointed with my experience for the softwashing services I received from Fick Bros. I contacted them for a quote in an effort to remove oxidation stains on the exterior of my brick home. The estimator told me the softwashing would remove the oxidation stains underneath my windows without issue, but would not be able to remove some other types of blemishes on my home’s exterior. I booked the service so it would at least remove the oxidation stains. On the day of the service, the person performing the work stated that he wasn’t sure what I wanted addressed because, in his words, softwashing only works on organic materials like moss, algae, etc which my home did not have. I told him the estimator never told me that nor discouraged me from booking the service (in fact, he encouraged it.) The treatment didn’t remove or lessen the oxidation stains in any noticeable way. The person performing the work admitted the house didn’t look any different after the service, and said he would be annoyed too had he paid for it. I called and voiced my concerns with the owner, basically that I felt I was misled during my initial estimate. He said there were other treatment options that might remove the oxidation but it’s not quite a guarantee, and that he would talk to his team and get back to me. All I got back a week later was the final invoice for the treatment I was unhappy with. Attached are before & after pictures. It feels like I spent a few hundred bucks for someone to hose my house down with water and called it a day lol.

  Had a downspout replaced. Only 2 of the 3 sections were replaced. Invoice was nearly double the estimate because they sent 2 workers instead of one on estimate. They also left part of old downspout in my yard.

  Consulted Fick Bros for a second opinion on a roofing estimate. They were booked out for a few weeks, which was fine and we felt worth the wait for comparison. Now a week before our appointment they’ve informed us that a training popped up on the day of our inspection and we would have to reschedule. In addition, they have no availability for weeks. Though they did refer other roofing companies in the area when informing us, it is very unprofessional to cancel after waiting weeks to have someone come out for the estimate.

  Unfortunately after several months, and countless unreturned messages, I am still receiving a $200 invoice despite no actual work being performed (in fact, the job was turned down) forcing me to go with another roofer. I have made several attempts to get this cleared up, with no response. I'm at a loss at this point.

  Fick Brothers did an amazing job for us recently. We have a 75 year old slate roof and they replaced our snow guards and alot of flashing and broken slates around our chimneys and various roof lines. the crews were very knowledgeable, diligent, very polite and were very diligent/careful while on our brittle slate roof. they used the best materials and the craftsmanship is excellent. they were very careful not to damage our landscaping and they left the jobsite immaculate each day. if you have a slate roof, i would highly recommend Fick Brothers - you definitely get what you pay for!

  Outstanding experience from start to finish. They did work to restore historic carpentry on the outside of my apartment In Fells point. They were on time came in at the number that we agreed upon and the work was exceptional. I cannot recommend them enough.

  I called them for a leak in a skylight which they had repaired years ago. The estimate seemed high but because of reputation I chose them. The techs came on time , were polite and immediately got to work testing for leaks. They did find the leak, showed me photos and also noted some other potential problems. They made a practical and thoughtful repair which seemed very reasonable and also addressed the other issues as noted above. I was very happy with the work and feel that they are good value

  My experience with Fick Bros. Roofing was very good! This time, they inspected the roof and did small rood repair. They did the work very well and the price was fair. My previous experience with this company was also very good: they repaired sidings and did masonry work.They are reliable and professional, and communication was smooth. I highly recommend them.

  The Fick team offers many exterior services. We trusted them with softwashing and making exterior repairs to our one hundred year old home.   We count on Gary and Brandon of Fick Bros. to maintain our unusual flat roof, to check for damages, check the skylights, etc. They come exactly as scheduled, are professional and friendly, clean up any mess created and leave us reassured until next time. Highly recommended.I will add we had a tree fall on roof. Gary and helper came and fixed the damage. Erica is also great to make arrangements with. She understands urgency!!!
