  I got cold called and told them I wasn’t interested, but was eventually talked in to a free appointment by the sales rep. The next business day I reached back out and cancelled but the tech then called me 10 times in one hour.

  Well now it’s been about 4yrs since they have changed my roof and I am still finding old shingles in my bushes around my house let alone going behind them with a large magnet finding nails multiple nails surrounding my house. The worst part of my review is the fact that I called within the same months following complaining because the only outdoor electrical outlet was where they plugged in a generator of some sort or an air machine for the nail guns and BLEW THE POWER to that outlet and the power to my shed which stems off from the same outlet just for them to tell me it’s not their fault that I wasn’t apparently smart enough to “check my breakers” because that’s all that was advised and nothing else. Nobody came out to even check things out absolutely terrible service and my power outside and to my shed is still to this day in the same state they left it in. extremely dissatisfied. wouldn't recommend EVER!!! they are fast messy and unprofessional not to mention irresponsible and do not need to be using MY power for anything if they have so much money invested that they didnt have their own gas powered equipment.

  I needed a minor repair and knew exactly what needed to be done (replace exhaust pipe boot). A 1 hr job! These guys sent out someone not to actually do the repair, but to take pictures. Then I got what seemed to me to be an unreasonably high estimate. When I called to ask (politely) about the cost and to get a breakdown of material/labor prices, the office person refused to provide a cost breakdown and became defensive, accusing me of wanting to shortchange their workers. I went with another company who got the repair done next-day and charged me half of what Excel quoted.

  Literally one of the worst experiences I have ever had. They were referred to us by another local company. Had a leak in the roof that was affecting a bathroom ceiling. Had them come look at it l, got a quote, paid them and they didn't fix …

  They were supposed to show up at 3:00. No show, no call. I called the guy at 3:45 and he told me he got off early because of the rain. It didn’t even sprinkle at our house! Then called the company and told them what happened and the girl that answered the phone didn’t say anything! I hung up!! Don’t use this company!!

  We bought our home three weeks after Excel Roofing completed a new roof. Sounds great right... Read on for the cautionary tale of of how Excel "cares for their customers" It all started when I spoke to Chelsie at Excel, she accepted & acknowledged the warranty change of ownership over the phone. They came out to inspect and began repairs but ceased repairs and left us with an expensive, wet, leaky roof. My best advice after 13 years in Wilmington, don't even think about calling this company unless you have unlimited patience, time, money or you are a lawyer. They are the worlds greatest company for overpromising and under delivering (actually not delivering at all). But if you do decide to call here are a few tips 1. Do not believe a word they say, get it in writing, document every interaction, record every phone call. 2.They actually don't accept warranty claims unless they are in writing, so get your certified mail ready. Read the warranty fine print for all the ways and reasons they will not fix your roof. 3. Get some buckets for your “new” leaky roof 4. Pray for a nice insurance adjuster when water infiltrates your home. 5. Make sure you like calling them, over and over and over and over again without a call back. “Warranty” ”(I use that word VERY generously because it doesn’t actually cover anything) is a joke. After over 50 phone calls, they came to fix the three year old roof they installed and the photos below show how they left it. We are reasonable, patient people who have tried everything we can to just have them finish the job they started but I guess that's asking too much. There are great honest, trustworthy roofers in this town, unfortunatly Excel Roofing is just not one of them.

  I understand Excel excels at roofing...I just wish I could get in contact with them. Their mailbox is "...full and not accepting new business...goodbye!" Perhaps an email account might be beneficial?

  Chris and Daniel once again did a superb job building our new soundproof music recording studio. Super happy with the way it came out!   I needed some repairs done on my roof. Excel Roofing was recommended by my brother-in-law because they did an excellent job replacing his roof. I am SO glad Excel Roofing was recommended. They are the best in the business. Their work is excellent; they are punctual; they cleaned up after their work was completed - and they are a bunch of nice people! Do yourself a favor and call Excel Roofing when you have roof concerns. You'll be happy you did.

  Excellent company with exceptional service. They arrived at my house and immediately started working. I think that it was about 6 hours and I had a new roof! I was kept up to speed on all issues. They called and sent detailed emails with pictures. They also took great care to clean up and leave nothing behind. This company made the process effortless on my part! I am very grateful for the service that I received!

  Excel roofing was the ABSOLUTE RIGHT CHOICE when it came time for my new roof installation last month! From the easy, smooth communication with Edwin throughout the process and high service level given by Angel and his team, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND any other potential “roofing needs” customers to call Excel for what I personally experienced to be better than “others” pricing estimates. Again to the crew who performed the service, the lady and I both appreciated how clean and respectful you guys kept everything around the house while working, and the NEW ROOF LOOKS GREAT!

  I had a great experience with this roofing company from start to finish. The team was professional, responsive, and easy to work with throughout the entire process. They explained everything clearly, showed up on time, and completed the job efficiently.   Wow! What an outstanding job by Excel Roofing on our home. This was a self pay roof replacement, not an insurance job. We did a Fortified Roof on our home. From initial contact to final inspection they were excellent with communication. When they said they would do something or they would be somewhere it happened without fail. Most impressive was the 9 man crew that worked on our roof. We live in a development with an HOA. Contractor work is allowed 7am to 7pm. The Excel crew pulled up at 7am and left at 7pm. While they were working what was most noticeable was what they didn’t do. There was no standing around looking at or talking on their phones. There was no yelling, music playing, cigarette butts(never saw any of them smoke) or food trash left around. They worked like professionals. At the end of the day they would do a quick cleanup of any debris left around. Final cleanup was very thorough. They were just an outstanding crew! Exceeded our expectations in every way!

  They great work and very thorough when doing, every time they needed more material they reached to make sure it was alright. Then they also fixed a part that wasn’t part of the quote on the spot to make sure the job was be perfect. I would recommend this company and would use them again if needed.
