We contracted Evans Roofing two years ago for some roofing work on our house. I learned today that their work was not up to code, and incomplete in parts. I'm told they probably sub-contracted the job. There's more damage now due to this. We need an entire new roof. You can imagine how this leaves us feeling pretty scammed. Maybe I should have climbed to the roof to check their work under the shingles? Look elsewhere for reliable roofing work. It's an important and expensive part of the house.

Joe, we're sorry to hear you're unhappy. According to our records, Evans Roofing completed a small back porch roof project at your home approximately three years ago, not a full roof replacement. We were never contacted with any concerns about the work at any point after the project was completed. had you notified us of an issue, we would've gladly inspected the work and addressed any legitimate warranty or workmanship concerns. We take pride in our work and stand behind it, and we're committed to treating every customer fairly. If you still like us to inspect the area we worked on, please contact our office so we can discuss the situation. .

Left construction debris and screws on my property that damaged tires and would not cover the damage when confronted.

Hi Finn, we take reviews like this seriously. The project was completed about four months before this review was posted, we never receive a phone call, email, or message regarding the debris or tire damage. If these concerns had been brought to our attention at the time, we would've promptly inspected the property and addressed any issues. We pride ourselves on making sure all customers are satisfied.

What a disappointment! The salesman Ray C. Couldn’t have been nicer. Confirmed the ad saying this is a family owned and run company. Ray promised that trim near new gutters would be cleaned (I supply the expensive cleaning solution, which I …

We’re sorry to hear that you feel this way about your experience, and we appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback. As a company, we take pride in being a family-owned and operated business with three generations involved in day-to-day operations. While we do at times utilize subcontractors for seamless gutter work, this is standard in our industry and allows us to complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality standards. Regarding the scope of work, we strive to clearly communicate expectations. The trim cleaning was completed at the time of installation, and when you expressed that it did not meet your expectations, we returned the following week to address your concerns. In terms of tree trimming, we made it clear that we are not a tree service company, but we did our best to cut back accessible overhanging branches as a courtesy. We also want to acknowledge the issue with the gutter guards. Once it was brought to our attention, we worked to resolve it and had the remaining guards installed. Our goal is always to make things right when something is missed. It’s important to note that this project was completed eight months ago, and we were not made aware of any ongoing concerns regarding leaks or noise after the final service visit. We would absolutely welcome the opportunity to inspect and address any current issues you may be experiencing. Please feel free to contact our office directly so we can take another look and ensure everything is functioning as it should.

I trusted this company as they are a roofing company to do what they listed on an estimate. I now have to get a whole new roof and every they did was either done incorrectly or will be replaced with the new roof that I have to pay for. …

Hello Valen Tasser, we're sorry that you are not satisfied with your service. We haven't received any phone calls or correspondence from you reflecting your dissatisfaction, so this comes as a surprise. Your estimate for work to improve the ventilation of your roof included installing soffit intake vents, static vents and a bathroom exhaust fan vent. All of those were installed correctly and according to industry standards. None of those items that we installed would affect the life or condition of your roof, so we're unclear as to why you think it's because of our company that you now need a new roof installed. Please give us a call at the office so we can discuss it further.

Norma, we have tried to contact you, but you have not returned our voicemails. Please refer to your written estimate that explained what work was being completed on your project, the same estimate that you responded to immediately in order to ask us to proceed with completing the project. Please also see the disclaimer below, that we had on your WRITTEN estimate that you agreed to. "This estimate includes the cost for all services provided, any materials needed, all labor hours, and transportation, along with all required overhead such as any necessary insurances, certifications, and/or warranties. We do not discourage our customers from obtaining multiple service quotes in order to make the best possible decision, but due to constant fluctuations in material and labor costs, the price outlined in this estimate is good for 30 days. If you have any questions or comments about the estimate, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can provide you with the needed information." Please return our phone calls so that we can discuss this matter and find a solution to receive payment for the work that was agreed upon and completed. If you are having a difficulty with paying the invoice, we can discuss that as well.

I had a "service call" where two small gutters and a small piece of siding were installed. I have no issue with the work itself (only been a week or so). But the communication was horrendous. I was obviously looking for the new siding to match existing siding. Not perfectly but within reason. I made this clear and sent multiple emails inquiring but they were ignored. When another person called me to schedule, I relayed those same concerns to him. Sent him a pic and he said he would come out to see it in person to assess how to match the following week. The work would be done that week as well and he would follow up with more specifics on the timing. The week comes and goes with no communication. After I follow up, he apologizes and says another week before he comes out. That next week, I come home one day to the job being half done. I had no idea anyone was going to show up that day. The siding they installed was a different material (aluminum vs my existing vinyl). And the story changed from it being a "try to match" situation to it being impossible so there was nothing they could do above this minimum effort to match. So in summary, no response to emails, no phone call when they aren't coming, no phone call when they are coming. I did get a voicemail and 3 email notifications about paying the invoice in less than a week after the job was done. I guess some things are just more important than others. Glad my project was a small one that could be over quickly. ADDED TO RESPOND: I have no record of phone calls or voicemails from you. I'm not sure what would be left to talk about at this point as the work is done and the bill is paid. But if you still want to, I'm sure Joey, Ray, or Tayler could look up their prior communications with me to ensure you have the right contact info. The first call about the bill was part of the voicemail letting me know the work was completed and that an invoice was on the way.

Mike, we have tried twice to reach you by telephone to discuss your review and left you a voicemail. We sincerely apologize for the communication issues you had with your service call and people getting back to you. Although we have had an unusually high amount of phone calls and jobs going on, we always strive to give our customers the attention they deserve so we do not like to hear you had a bad experience with that. We are glad that you have no issues with the work that was done though. Since we don't require any money up front for our services, we do require payment upon completion of the job. Our software will automatically send out reminders every couple days to customers who have not paid upon completion, so that may have been why you received two email reminders. I can't find record of someone calling you from our office for payment so we would like to receive more information about that if possible. Please return our phone call at your earliest convenience. Mike, I'm glad you clarified what you meant. Yes, we do call our customers after projects to let them know that we have completed the work and that an invoice will be sent via email versus through the mail. I'm sorry you didn't receive any of our phone calls. We did call using our personal cell phones so maybe you didn't recognize the number. What was left for us to talk about was your unhappy experience. We value our customer satisfaction and our reputation very highly so we were trying to contact you if more apologies were needed on our end or anything else we could do for you. Thank you.

We spent a considerable sum in 2019 having Phil Evans and his roofing company put a Mulehide roof on our house. The roof almost immediately started leaking again and Phil grudgingly came out and did some b.s. patching and it continued to leak and leak. He put some cheap tarps on our roof and called it a day. We have a forensics report from a legitimate engineering company saying that this company did a horrible job. they ruined the grade of the flat roof which resulted in extreme ponding. Phils's response? IT WAS THE DRAIN!!!! he keeps repeating this nonsense and we had the drain check, We had the drain cleaned out monthly. He also installed Mulehide but apparently Mulehide is telling us he isn't authorized to do so. See you in court Phil

Hello Sisi, we were not able to find 'Sisi Smith' anywhere in our customer database and we could not find any contracted jobs under that name. Do you have another name that you use? Are you sure it was our company because we have been using Mule-Hide products for several years and we are definitely authorized to do so. Please feel free to call our office to further discuss.

Evans is fantastic. Had them replace some slate tiles 5 years ago and used them again recently for gutter repairs. The folks they used for the installation navigated the difficult access with no issues and most importantly no extra cost. 10/10 would use again

Would recommend Evans Roofing for your roofing needs. Evans Roofing was able to come out quickly for an estimate after the recent storms in the area. Ryan provided a competitive estimate and a installation date that met our needs for the whole roof replacement. Ryan kept us informed throughout the process. The installation team was on-site when promised to start the work. The team did a great job, from tearing off to clean up. Ryan complained the post inspection.. Positive experience all around.
