The quality of the work is inexcusable for the price paid. Hillman Renovations built me a deck in 2024. After a year, the deck is literally falling apart. The wood is split, the screws are bent, and some of the joints have already started to break. Right after the work was completed, I was already dissatisfied with the quality of the work. It was clear that it was amateurish work with no attention to detail, and I had no doubt that it wouldn't last for years, as promised. When I discussed it with them immediately after the work was done, they simply told me, "It's carpentry, not joinery; it's not meant to be pretty." However, the quote and the invoice clearly state that it was carpentry work. And even assuming it was only carpentry, the work should at least last more than one winter, since framing is supposed to be solid. I tried contacting them several times afterward, but I never received a response. Stay away.

This is the company that was recommended to me and that I chose for my home renovation. I was very happy after the initial meeting, but nothing more. Several problems arose during the work, so I'm going to leave it at that. The only question I can ask is whether I will refer them again. My answer is no.

A friend who's a contractor, and who didn't have time to do my renovations, recommended Hillman Renovations. I couldn't be happier. Not only was the work done incredibly well, but the team was just as amazing. I highly recommend them!
