Do not recommend.initially offered the sun and stars, when asked for the proposal in writing, they were unable to or put anything in writing to explain why they were over 3k over anyone else. Sold themselves as all that and a bag of chips, …

All of our proposals are in writing, and our previous clients can attest to that. There was language missing due to a copy and paste error in the proposal we sent you, however we did offer a revision to add the language. If you would you like to further discuss the issue, do not hesitate to reach out to us so we can come to a resolution.

Requested a quote, Promised the world, delivered nothing. Can't even remember his appointments.

Kevin, we never worked for you. There was too much liability with your particular request. We made recommendations that you were not interested in. With all responsible and reasonable considerations in mind, we chose not to work with you on your project. We do thank you for choosing us as the company you originally wanted to work with.

WOW! I am a property Manager and deal with multiple contractors daily and still find it shocking at how rude some business owners are, especially when they do not even realize how important word of mouth is! The owner Derek returned my call and I did not advise him of my profession as this was for my home, I wanted to have him look at my roof in order to prevent ice dams this winter as I had a costly ice dam leak last winter. He was to call me a few days later on Sunday to confirm he could come Monday early in the morning. Monday came and went and I contacted him Tuesday and he did not apologize nor do I believe he even remembered me but in any case when I reminded him of what I wanted he asked if a new roof was in the budget? I reminded him my roof was only 2 yrs old and I was not looking for a new roof and he responded "I am going to just pass". So apparently he can not be bothered with anything less than a job for a new roof. I can tell you the word of mouth with the many people I interact with will not be of any recommendations for Derek Cook Construction!!!! Good luck in the business world, I will assume the other google reviews were created by his personal friends.

The experience with this company was exceptional. Anything unexpected is dealt with and Derek is all about taking care of the customer as much as possible. Derek is an attention to detail guy, it's amazing. His roofing team does incredible work, fast, and clean up is spotless. I had skylight installed it was like clock work. Roofers installed, tapers follow, then painter. The quality of work will WOW you in a very timely fashion. Highly Recommend!

Derek Cook's Roofing Specialists did a full replacement of my roof and installed four new skylights. I'm extremely happy with the workmanship; the roof looks beautiful and the skylights are exactly what I was hoping for. It rained heavily immediately after the install and everything is holding up perfectly. I especially appreciated the consistent transparency and communication, and I felt that Derek and his team did everything possible to make the process as stress-free as possible for me. I definitely recommend Derek Cook's Roofing Specialists and look forward to working with Derek and his team on other projects in the future.

This review is long overdue. The reason I’m writing it now is because I just recommended him for service to somebody else and it came to mind that he deserves this. We had dealt with a number of contractors in our home and unfortunately, it have gotten to the point where my husband didn’t even want anyone working on our house anymore. We just never picked the right company Then came Derek Cook. I remember being impressed he simply showed up on time for the estimate. His estimate was definitely fair. On work day, they showed up on time. They completed the job in the amount of time they said they would. They cleaned up afterwards. His team was *very* professional and very respectful. My roof was perfect. Right It was so refreshing to deal with a company that had such fantastic work ethic and integrity. Any anytime anyone tells me they are considering a new roof I send them to Derek. Without a doubt if we ever need roof work done again it will be Derek that we call
