Idk who needs to be fired but the AI commercial you guys have airing is so bad I had to come say something. Would have cost less for you guys to get a college student videographer than whatever it cost for you guys to get 2010 graphics and animatronics on a roof. This commercial made me certain to not utilize you guys for quality work. Don’t take my constructive criticism the wrong way and try and clap back. Just understand the commercial is bad.

This is what a 10 year old tile roof looks like on an over 6 million dollar home Collis installed. 200k to replace this roof. They inspected the roof and said “it’s not covered under any warranty because the home has foam insulation” . The builder was contacted and replied “this was news to me and I use them currently for the majority of my custom homes”. Beware that if you have foam insulation (which most custom homes do) Collis will tell you to pound salt! Local news will be doing a story on this very house! Stay tuned! They claim on the rebuttal below “the roof was installed properly upon inspection”. Obviously it wouldn’t be in the condition it was after just 10 years! ****Collis claims they didn’t suggest that they won’t warranty a foam insulated home, yet you can clearly see they have highlighted the area on the original work.order they used to get out of any responsibility! It’s in their own writing! This home was meticulously maintained and a 10 year old roof would only look like this if it was installed wrong or with defective materials! There is no other plausible reason!

We understand that roofing assemblies, insulation systems, and building science can be highly technical, and it's easy to assume that visible damage must originate with the roof itself. That's precisely why we believe these situations should be evaluated based on building science and independent expert analysis, not assumptions. Following our inspection, we concluded that the tile roofing system is functioning as intended and that the observed conditions are not the result of a roofing installation defect. Since our initial response, we also sought the opinion of an independent Building Envelope Consultant specializing in Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) insulation systems. After reviewing the photographs, John Lapotaire, CIEC—a Building Envelope Consultant, Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation Consultant, and member of the Spray Polyurethane Foam Alliance (SPFA) Consultant Committee—reached a preliminary opinion that the deterioration shown is consistent with moisture created by condensation associated with improperly adhered and/or insufficient spray polyurethane foam insulation beneath the roof sheathing, not a failure of the roofing system itself. Specifically, Mr. Lapotaire noted that: The tile roofing system does not exhibit evidence of water intrusion from above. The damage shown is consistent with water vapor originating inside the attic, migrating through inadequately adhered or insufficient SPF insulation, condensing beneath the underlayment, and slowly deteriorating the roof sheathing over time. He has recommended an on-site inspection of the insulation system to confirm the extent of those conditions. This independent assessment aligns with our own inspection and reinforces why assigning responsibility requires evaluating the entire building envelope, not simply the roof covering. We have never stated that homes with foam insulation are categorically excluded from warranty coverage. We routinely stand behind our workmanship whenever a warrantable roofing issu

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Elaine. We take claims like this seriously, as this type of behavior does not align with our company standards or expectations. Our Safety Director conducted a thorough review of both internal and external footage related to this report. Based on that review, the situation described does not fully align with what was observed. The footage shows no evidence of speeding, tailgating, or reckless driving. The vehicle ahead had already come to a stop and began to proceed, but then suddenly stopped again despite having clearance. This caused our driver to stop short. At that point, our driver sounded the horn once briefly to signal that the vehicle had clearance to continue. Additionally, the timeline and footage did not show a school release or children in the immediate area. That said, we understand how situations like this can be perceived, and we hold our team to a high standard when representing our company in the community.

Collis just replaced my roof. Several areas needed woodwork and were part of the job agreed upon. This woodwork included replacing sub-facia and facia in multiple locations. The workmanship was very poor. The sub-facia was haphazardly installed. The bottom edges of the sub-facia were not properly aligned with the rafter tails when nailed to the rafter tails. In addition the sub-facia was not tight against all the rafter tails to which it was nailed. These errors could have been easily avoided with a little extra time, care and workmanship. These errors resulted in great difficulty getting the soffit reinstalled. These errors resulted in the need for significant shimming and large gap-filling to get the soffit back in place. Even with all the shimming and gap-filling I've now had to do, it is visually apparent that the facia and soffit is askew. I picked Collis over other roofers because of good work they did for me in the past and their claim of being "dedicated to delivering high-quality workmanship." This is certainly not the workmanship I received from Collis.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and we’re sorry to hear about your concerns, Joe. Our superintendent made a point to communicate and review the project with you throughout the installation, walking the property together and discussing the wood replacement and quantities involved. Even after the roof was finished, we had follow-up conversations regarding the gutters, and no concerns about workmanship were brought to our attention. Had any issues been raised at that time, we would have been happy to address them on site. Since seeing your review, we have already scheduled a time to meet and walk the project together once you are back in town. We truly appreciate the opportunity to connect with you directly, review the areas you mentioned, and work toward a resolution. Your satisfaction is very important to us, and we remain committed to standing behind our work.

AWFUL! Estimator couldn't even spell name correctly. He did not clearly explain process, quote nor give actual copy of quote. Seemed rushed and argued about asking for clarifications. 3x price of other reputable companies quoting. Would not trust this company for any business!

DO NOT HIRE THEM. My HOA hired this roofing company to replace the roofs in our neighborhood. The roofing company didn't properly place the tarp, leaving my porch ruined after I just paid hundreds of dollars to get it pressure washed. They also destroyed the bushes on the side of my house. I went back and forth for months, with the HOA and Collis. First they send out a guy who is supposed to pressure wash my porch but he didn't have the equipment, then they sent out a guy with a bucket and broom! Collis told my HOA they don't cover pressure washing in their warranty! This isn't a warranty issue! They left my house a mess! I had to pay out of pocket again after receiving a letter from the HOA threatening legal action. The bushes that they destroyed in January 2025 are still missing as well! I wouldn’t trust their reviews on here either because some companies offer a discount for a 5 star review. Check them out on Yelp for true reviews AND they are not good. UPDATE after Collis Roofing’s reply: I want to address your statements clearly and directly. I have photographic evidence, which I have already uploaded, showing that the damage to my front porch occurred as a result of the work performed by your company. The same applies to the missing bushes, which were also affected during the project. Your statement saying the property management inspected the areas mentioned and that it was “determined that is was not caused by your roofing work” is not accurate and completely laughable. You must’ve not seen the photos I posted showing what your company did. I have multiple emails between Cathy Watson from Speciality Management proving you’re lying and at fault, which I am now adding to this review. This was not a warranty issue, but a direct result of the work completed on my property. The first email was sent to Cathy on Jan 30th expressing my concerns and you did not send the guy to “mop” my porch until May 15th. I’ve posted all the email communication between m

We take concerns like this seriously and appreciate the opportunity to clarify the situation. This project was contracted by the HOA, and all work was completed within the agreed scope under the oversight of the property manager. After concerns were raised, the property manager inspected the areas mentioned and confirmed the issues were not caused by our roofing work. Even so, Collis Roofing made multiple good-faith efforts to assist, including returning to clean areas outside of our scope to try to resolve the tenant’s concerns. We worked closely with the HOA and property management throughout, and ultimately the property manager determined that no further action was required from our company. Our warranty coverage is clearly defined through the HOA and does not include unrelated maintenance services; however, we still went above and beyond our contractual obligations in an effort to be helpful. We also want to clearly state that Collis Roofing does not offer discounts or incentives in exchange for reviews. All feedback left on our profiles is voluntary and reflects individual customer experiences. We stand by the quality of our work and our reputation, which is built on transparency, professionalism, and accountability. We regret that this individual remains dissatisfied, but we are confident that Collis Roofing acted responsibly and in good faith throughout the entire process.

Due to Hurricane Milton, our home lost some shingles. When I went up on the roof to repair the blown off shingles, what I found was simple incompetence. And what should have been a simple repair turned into a nightmare scenario. After looking on the Orange County website (I pulled the permit), I found that Collis Roofing Inc (Jack Douglas Lanier) was the roofing contractor for DR Horton. They did a HORRIBLE job. And as a result of their incompetence, I'm likely going to need to replace my entire roof after just 8 years. Unbelievable. Every single shingle was nailed high along the nail line, and to boot, double nailed at the top section of EVERY SINGLE SHINGLE! YOU NEVER NAIL ABOVE THE NAIL LINE!!!!!! Those shingles were just sails flapping in the wind during Milton. It's clear that these shingles failed because of an incompetent person who had no business being on a roof. I would stay far away from this company. ***RESPONSE*** Collis Roofing responded that they have no record of my name, nor the builder. Ummmm.... that's because I'm not the original buyer of my home. Come on... what a poor response. And to reiterate my original post, they are in fact the roofer per the building permit located on Orange County's website. And I wouldn't call you guys to roof my dog house.

At Collis Roofing, safety is our top priority, both on the job site and on the road. All of our vehicles are equipped with GPS and dual facing dash cams to track and closely monitor our drivers to always ensure safe and responsible driving. Regarding the concern, the vehicle in question was not on the road during the reported time. However, just before 7 AM, one of our drivers did experience an aggressive vehicle speeding past them at approximately 20 mph over the posted limit. If you would like to discuss this matter further, please feel free to reach out to our Safety Director, Keven, at 321-441-2300 ext. 1608. We appreciate your diligence in helping keep our roads safe.

The supervisor kept us informed both by email and in please several times daily. This was not the first roof we have had done in Florida. It was the best job we have had.

I had the roof replaced a few weeks ago and went with Collis Roofing. I took quotes from 3 different companies and thought Andrew did a very good job of explaining everything. Kai was the site lead, and he was very informative and kept me abreast of daily occurrences including pictures. The crew was efficient working around rain and completing a large job in a few days. I thought communication was excellent during the process and would give Collis a high-rating for -Kai's customer service.

The cheapest roof repair is the one you catch early, before it reaches the ceiling. Most residential roof problems in Florida start small and quiet. A single lifted shingle, a hairline crack in a vent boot, or a slow drip that only shows up in heavy rain can sit unnoticed until it reaches the decking or the ceiling below. Catching these early is the difference between a minor repair and a major one. We recommend a roof check any time you notice granules collecting in your gutters, dark streaks on the roof surface, shingles curling at the edges, or a water stain on an interior ceiling. Collis Roofing repairs residential roofs across Longwood, Casselberry, Lake Mary, and the surrounding area. When you book an inspection, we give you a clear read on the current condition of your roof and flag anything that needs attention now versus what can wait. No pressure and no upsell to a replacement you do not need. We have served Florida homeowners since 1994 and carry an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
