Too many issues to write, my advice don't hire central home roofing. After first heavy for about 15 minutes I have leak in the roof and damage the bedroom ceiling

Hi Nazeeh, We’re sorry to hear you feel this way. Your project was important to us, and we made every effort to address concerns as they came up, including returning promptly outside of normal working hours to correct items that needed attention. There were some delays during the project related to damaged materials and ongoing delivery issues from the manufacturer. These delays were unfortunately outside of our control, and the manufacturer even communicated directly with you to apologize for the inconvenience. Despite this, we stayed engaged throughout the process and worked to move the project forward as quickly as possible. We also reviewed concerns regarding additional damage, some of which were determined to be pre-existing or unrelated to our work. The roof ultimately passed final inspection with the county, confirming it was installed properly and meets all required standards. We understand not every situation ends perfectly, but we do stand behind our work and our continued efforts to resolve concerns in good faith. If you’d like to discuss anything further, we’re always open to it. — Central Homes Roofing

I will start by saying that the roof looks great and the “crew” did a great job. However, the communication from the company to the client and the follow up communication is not good at all. They do not return emails, phone calls or …

Hi Mr. Jenkins, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback — and for recognizing the quality of our crew and workmanship. I’m sorry to hear about your frustration with communication. I did just try to reach you directly to discuss this further. From what I can see, our team has been in ongoing contact throughout your project, and the current delay appears to be related to the financing company’s processing timeline. While we do work with them as an option for our customers, they operate independently — and unfortunately, their delays are outside of our control. We have been consistently following up with them in order to get an update as it has never taken this long before. That said, we take full responsibility for helping ensure you get the updates and clarity you need. Please feel free to call me back directly at 407-349-3720 so I can personally assist in getting this wrapped up for you and an update. We truly appreciate your business and are glad you’re happy with your roof’s final result.

Hi Margene, Thank you for your feedback. We regret that your experience has left you feeling dissatisfied, and we’d like to address your concerns directly. As you mentioned, we did reach out in an effort to revisit the situation and see how we could assist. During our last visit, it was determined that the source of the new leak was the terrace—not the roof we installed. You informed us that your insurance had approved and paid for a full roof replacement, and based on that, you entered into a contract with us to complete the work, which we fulfilled as agreed. Despite the issue not being related to our workmanship, we extended an offer to return and assess the terrace at no additional cost. Unfortunately, our attempts to schedule this were declined, and our number was later blocked. We remain committed to resolving concerns where possible and are still open to revisiting the matter if you’re willing. Regarding payment, we understand the complexities of insurance processes and waited nearly three months for the release of funds. During that time, we also made efforts to assist you in securing the payment. While we prefer to avoid legal measures, notifying clients of a potential lien is a standard part of our collections protocol when significant delays occur. Thankfully, this step was ultimately not necessary. Customer satisfaction is very important to us, and we are still willing to inspect the terrace leak if you would reconsider. Please feel free to contact us directly at 407-732-7262.

Left rotten plywood in place and tried to cover it with tar and caulking. Drip edge and flashing also left short and incomplete. Caused many leaks and refused to fix.

Thank you for your feedback. We take all concerns seriously and appreciate the opportunity to provide clarity. After becoming aware of this situation which took place about 7 months ago, our superintendent personally visited the site at that time and conducted a thorough inspection. Based on that assessment and photographic evidence, it was clear that the primary cause of the leaks was related to existing issues with the home's siding. Several areas were found to have gaps exposing the wall structure, which can easily lead to water intrusion. These findings were supported by a carpenter on the general contractor’s team—who was hired by the homeowner—who agreed the leaks appeared to be caused by siding issues. Additionally, the project passed final inspection with the county, confirming that our work met code and was performed to the required standard. We understand how frustrating construction issues can be and remain committed to providing quality service and clear communication. If you would like to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office at 407-732-7262

Central Homes began replacing our Commercial Condominium roofs Feb 15th of 2022. By March 2022, multiple leaks were reported in the first set of 3 roofs (including 817). The leaks were repaired and interior areas were resolved by Central Homes. Sept 29, 2022, we noted major damages from Hurricane Ian due to a breached skylight. I called Central Homes but they did not respond. I called another company and they came just after I called. They told me that there were no screws securing the skylight and the skylight slid open during the storm causing the damages. The skylight was removed as part of the roofing process in Feburary. The next day Central Homes responded and stated that they had no responsibility because the hurricane was “an act of God” and would not be responsible financially in any way. After contemplating all that had transpired, after months of construction and lost income, I discussed our situation with an attorney and was advised that Central Homes should indeed have liability in this situation. Our Condominium Complex has retained an attorney, but Central Homes continues to say they are not liable. We are now having to sue them and take them to court unless they pay for the damages. If I could give them a negative 5 stars I would. I would not recommed them unless you want to experience the pain and suffering I have!

Extremely disappointed in this company. All I can say is we as home owners got a runaround for months on repairs. Roof was done the later half of 2018, nothing but issues. A lot of damage. All promised to be taken care of in writing. They now refuse to cover the work. Do your homework on this company before hiring. Yelp reviews are at a 2.4 as of today. Houzz is a 2.3 as of today. BBB isn’t much better. I have copied all of those reviews. Buyer beware. The business response was not accurate or acceptable. They hired an engineer company to sign off on a report done by a GC, and an intern. NO ENGINEER stepped foot on our property. I would truly hope an expert would know holding a moisture reader against metal doesn’t work. It was in the report! Not sure where the figure of 30k plus came from???? We just found two more leaks😔. This brings us to 5. The roof wasn’t done correctly. These photos are their attempt to fix things. Shingles are still flapping in the wind. Shingles at the very least should come to the drip edge. Ours don’t! The roof wasn’t done correctly. Own your work Central homes. Stop hiring subcontractors. Stand behind your word! We have paid a ton of money to repair the damage that was done because of the installation. We reached out to the owner one final time. It simply takes an owner to make a phone call, stop by to see the work that was done. He has never stepped foot on our property. If he did stop by, he would realize the work was not up to standard. Maybe not use those individuals in the future? Wait for it. Instead of the owner contacting us, responding to us, he decided to ignore us, he then contacted an attorney to represent him, and voided our warranty. Great customer service🤦‍♀️

Cheryl, we did do your roof in 2018 with no issues until recently, claiming a roof leak resulted in $30k+ in damages. We did our due diligence and hired a licensed engineer to inspect the property to find if Central Homes was the reason for these very extensive damages. Upon getting the inspection report, which has been previously sent to you, it found there were preexisting structural damage prior to Central Homes installing the roof. There were also termite issues noted. Central Homes is open to repairing anything we are at fault for, however the claims being alleged were shown to be preexisting.

To start.. our sales rep was honestly great guy. Kyle, he did his job. Unfortunately not the best experience with the company itself. We had signed with their company, then we were having issues with the insurance company which forced us to delayed our process. We informed central job was on hold possibly indefinitely in order to fulfill our responsibilities with insurance. We couldn’t move forward with our roof for three months , If anyone has gone through a claim , you know they never want to give out what is due.m without jumping through hoops They made it close to impossible, months later central reached out asking if we were ready to move forward we said no, we had to look in other direction but I appreciate their follow up. We then started getting emails claiming we are responsible to pay permits, we needed to hold up our end of bargain. I informed the office lady she didn’t have all the info and she should first figure that out before sending invoices and emails as she did. First off we spent 3 years with our claim, This process was already a headache and this company made it more about them and their pockets. We gave them heads up of the job being on hold. Then we informed them we needed to do what was best for us financially and till this day I’m still getting emails to the point I had to get my lawyers involved. It’s just unsettling and frustrating that we not only deal with insurance headaches then now a roofing company problem. When you need an insurance company to indorse your check you are at their mercy , they were very pushy I ended up having to tell them look we can’t move forward right now, once and if we can we will reach out if we choose too. Looking back I’m glad we didn’t give our money to a company that acts like this , I normally don’t do reviews but after the last email I received I figured I’d help someone else out who may be similar to us. My husband is a disabled vet, we are on a fixed income , we are frugal and ever dollar counts. As st

Hi Macey, we apologize you felt we were pushy during the process of trying to get your roof scheduled. We have protocols set in place so no ones roof get's forgotten and try to help in anyway we can with the HOA process. We have attempted to reach out in regards to discussing this situation however we have not received a response. Going over your file it appears you signed a contract with us to do your reroof in which we received the documents needed to pull the permit as well. We pulled the permit as you were aware of and we were waiting on your HOA approval in order to get you scheduled. We have no problem with you cancelling your contract as we understand life can happen and interfere such a large financial commitment such as getting your roof done. The only invoice sent was for the cost of the permit we pulled which was $80, we did not send a cancellation or charge for anything else. We are perplexed that there would be any need for an attorney to be involved as a simple call to the office would have allowed us to waive the $80 permit fee if there were burdens mentioned in the review. We are closing out your file and waiving the permit fee. If you would like to discuss further please reach out directly at 407-732-7262, Kind regards.

Very happy with the process, the people and the results. Our roof was close to failing and we had a very quick turnaround on getting scheduled. The job included removing rotten wood and putting a better pitch on the roof. Completed quickly-2 days. Also included was the wind report. This is needed for insurance. The communications were timely. It was a quick job with the right amount of people and a dumpster delivered prior to the job. Highly recommend. This was in Tavares, FL.

Central Homes Roofing and Solar did a fantastic job on a roof replacement for us in late May. We were under a time crunch to get it done, and Simon, the project manager, took a vested interest in making that happen. He did a phenomenal job communicating and going the extra effort to make sure this job was a success. As to the roofers themselves - all the respect in the world to the job they did! My goodness, did they work hard! Really impressive through the Florida heat and they were very conscientious. Lastly, the pricing was very competitive and reasonable. Great experience!
