  Absolutely horrible experience. Part of my project included a sub doing flooring, in which they completely botched (see pictures). Did not level the new subfloor, used different sizes on the quarter round, bad transitions and caulking, and nails in the floor. The INSTRUCTIONS on the laminate box say “do not nail”. I reached out to ckg multiple times during the process and was ignored when I requested someone come out to take a look. Finally after I showed them pictures of how the sub used a nail gun on the laminate flooring they came out….but waited until all the flooring was laid. Ckg then tried to convince me the floor was ok as is. They then brought out a different sub to try to convince me the work was ok. Finally, they agreed to have the second sub redo the work. They tried to convince me it was ok to re use the previously nailed flooring after they took it all out. This led to me and my dad inspecting each plank to determine which were damaged (80% of them). There are already chips in the 20% we reluctantly said they could re use- I wish I would have pushed harder for all new flooring. End of the day- I get this was a sub making the initial mistakes. However ckg took no ownership over monitoring the project along the way and making it right when the job was botched. I have two toddlers and we were out of our home an extra 3 weeks due to this. Complete mess.

  Man this is the worst review I have ever received. I am extremely upset with my men and can ensure nothing like this will ever happen again. I have been in business for over 26 years and always take great care of my clients. In this case I paid $8000.00 out of my own pocket to rectify the first crews mistakes. I no longer use them for flooring!! Wish you would include the final photos on what the floor looks like after we fixed everything. If any CKG clients ever have an issue please call me direct Chris 973-202-1569. Also we have a full time office manager who makes our schedule. You call she makes an appoint we come. Something is a miss here and I truly apologize, it makes me sick you are upset with us, Hope your new floors last a long time and if you need any repairs in the future please let me know. Chris

  If I could post a review with zero stars I would. They came out, evaluated the job and promised an estimate the same day. The next day called the office and no estimate. Tried again to reach out for the estimate and nothing. Weeks later no call or acknowledgement. Would not use or refer anyone to this contractor.

  Chris did the work as agreed. Pleasant, capable and courteous. Discussed coming back to caulk our windows. Gave the office our Sherwin Williams color code to match caulk with our house color. Never heard back after leaving several messages. …

  Called them and scheduled a job after getting the estimate, on the agreed day they never showed up, called the office , spoke to a very dismissive person, told me that she would find out where they are and call me back but she never did. Emailed the owner he never replied back. Poor experience

  Had a really good experience with CKG. Mark was amazing in terms of giving estimate, coordinating to get people in and coming to check on things. Will definitely use CKG again. Great price and service.

  I contacted CKG to make some urgent repairs due to a previous company's botched roofing work some years ago. They showed up right away, took pictures (of another company's comically bad roofing work), and went out of their way to show up and fix it on short notice due to a storm rolling in. I think I'll leave all my future roofing to CKG from now on...!

  CKG replaced all the windows and doors in my home. It was huge job involving several floor to celling picture windows on the second floor. Everything went flawlessly. No problems, top quality work.

  Lucus the estimator is great to work with, knowledgeable, and honest. Chris the owner came personally to check out the work and was very professional. The crew doing the work knew what they were doing and did an excellent job replacing my roof. The roof with additional work was completed in one day. I considered the pricing fair for all that was done. I would highly recommend CKG.
