  Working with Blue Nail was an exhausting, disappointing, and infuriating experience. Blue Nail lacked professionalism, accountability, and transparency throughout. They made multiple attempts to mislead us and only followed through when faced with the possibility of legal action. Save yourself the time, money, and stress. Avoid Blue Nail at all costs. Blue Nail came recommended, so we reached out for an estimate. Early on, my father felt their team was defensive and difficult to communicate with. I didn’t initially see that, so we moved forward. Our home is a Victorian farmhouse with a steep roof and a flat section where a widow’s walk once existed. We wanted to restore it and initially asked them to hold off on installing EPDM in that area so we could add the posts ourselves. They declined and instead issued a change order to include the posts in their scope, which we accepted due to time constraints. After signing, we began asking about their installation method, expecting the posts to be properly framed for safety and durability. Once we started asking detailed technical questions, their demeanor noticeably shifted. Shortly thereafter, Blue Nail informed us that they intended to withdraw from the contract, citing permitting and zoning variance concerns. This was a significant red flag. It is the responsibility of any reputable contractor to verify all necessary permits and zoning requirements prior to issuing a formal proposal. We believe they had done this research but were attempting to use technical jargon to intimidate us into backing down. We investigated the variance claims ourselves and found them to be inapplicable. We confirmed with the local building department that a permit could be pulled, which we were more than willing to do. Despite all of this, Blue Nail still tried to walk away from the contract without valid justification. We were prepared for legal action after months of delays and an attempted breach of contract.   Blue Nail installed our roof. We reported water damage 3 weeks ago. Nobody from Blue Nail is yet to come to our property. We sent email, called their office couple of times due to no response. Finally we were told someone will be here today but nobody showed up. Extremely disappointing.

  Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with blue nail. I hired them to replace two flat roof sections on my house. I overpaid 3 to 4 times what the job should have cost. I should have seen the signs when the salesman did not even get on the roof when he came to give me the estimate. They subcontracted the job to a cheaper contractor. Since they finished the job I have had two leaks. Each time they send the subcontractor which tells me it is not his fault. These people are a sham. Be careful not to get scammed like I did. Their warranty is not worth the paper is printed on!

  After experiencing substantial damage to the roof of our home from a fallen tree, we were understandably concerned about the entire roof replacement process. From beginning to end, Blue Nail’s professionalism was outstanding. From the ownership to the entire team, everyone was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the entire project. I received consistent updates on the progress of the work, along with clear communication whenever changes or adjustments were needed. The project was completed in a timely manner, and when the team finished, they left our property incredibly clean it looked like no work had ever been done. I’m extremely pleased with the quality of the work and the overall experience. Blue Nail made what could have been a very stressful situation much easier to navigate. I would highly recommend Blue Nail to my family and friends. They truly went above and beyond!

  The team at Blue Nail, including Dave DaVeiga and Freddy and his father did a great job from start to finish on our siding replacement project on our 115 year old craftsman style house. They were very conscientious, organized and took good care of the old bones of our home, and the new siding looks great! We chose Premium Olive as the color. The gutters and related trim work was also excellent.

  Blue Nail recently finished completing our siding and window project. John and his team went above and beyond to make sure everything was done with precision, detail, and care. John was able to deliver everything we wanted done and on budget. His communication and professionalism before, during, and after the project was second to none.   Blue Nail Exteriors in Montville, NJ just completed our roof, siding and gutter replacement. The crews were excellent in coordinated approach and execution. Our very attentive Project Manager, Ray was exceptionally diligent and attentive to our preferences and saw to the ahead of schedule completion of our project. Workmanship was excellent and detail focused throughout. Our roof replacement required removal and reinstallation of a large solar panel array which Blue Nail coordinated and made the project flow smoothly. We highly recommend this quality assured company.

  Had our windows replaced by Blue Nail and they did an incredible job! EJ, Dom, Miguel, and the rest of the team were incredibly efficient while still being meticulous with every detail. They cleaned up every last piece of debris before they left, and the entire project went so much faster than I anticipated. Highly recommend!

  Very Flexible and move fast once they are allowed to work. Painting took longer than expected (weather) and they were patient and professional. The price for our service was almost a $700 dollars less than another popular gutter only business.
