  Got four quotes for a roof replacement. downtown. These guys showed up, basically spent 10 minutes “looking around” and gave me a verbal quote on the spot that was basically double the other three vendors. We got great service from another vendor that visited twice, spent a lot of time examining what needed to be done and did a tremendous job, as opposed to trying a money grab. Definitely seek alternative quotes before you sign up!

  Leigh, we truly understand your frustration with this situation. To clarify, when Charleston Roofs & Windows acquired certain assets of Charleston Roofing & Exteriors, the warranties issued by the previous company were not part of the acquisition and unfortunately did not transfer over to us. We’re very sorry for the confusion and disappointment this has caused. While we cannot honor the old CRE warranties, our team would be glad to come inspect your roof and provide you with options to address your concerns. We value transparency and want to ensure you get the support you need moving forward.

  Very disappointed with the quality of their work. Cuts were uneven and crew did not clean up the debris from their work. Crew had to come back to fix their mistakes. I also had to hire another company to come back to finish fixing their mistakes.

  You know I don't know how the roofing business does things since this was my first interaction with a roofer in the area but Michael Kelly of Charleston Roofing and Windows was a very polished sales rep when you came and did the estimate for our roof replacement he packaged it up in a very nice email a lot of fancy pictures and nice write-ups about who all works there pass it on to your neighbor get a $250 reward from you and they'll get a $250 break on their bill but all looks so nice and everything nicely wrapped up in a total price. But I want to know a little bit more I wanted some details like what was the breakdown on my cost for materials such as what you pay for the replacement roofing tiles or shingles what type of underpending will you use felt or plastic weatherproof etc etc And how much do you charge for your labor is it a three-man team five-man team how much you charging for disposal of the old roofing material I think these are rational questions that a homeowner should be able to get an answer to but Michael informs me of that no no roofers or other roofing companies whatever give that information out and I find that hard to believe well I'm not going with this company and I hate to give them a one star and haven't even used them but if Michael Kelly is the indication of this type of interaction with this company I'll make sure to tell everybody that I know about my experience with them initially One person won't break a company I'm sure one unhappy customer but maybe the owner of the company will reach out to me directly I would like to hear his views on this type of a routine work that is being done by Michael Kelly anyway that's my two cents for today beware thank God there are other roofing companies and they're a little more easy to work with providing me the necessary information that I asked for to make an informed decision when I compare the bids I don't mind paying for quality workmanship and quality materials by like to how much they cost u

  Mr. Plunkett, we only met with you once to provide a quote and never actually did any work for you, so this very long and negative review was surprising to us. We do apologize our roof proposal didn't meet your expectations. As you stated, "you don't know how the roofing business works", but we do and we don't give out our company's labor and/or material costs. Since your need for this cost breakdown was to compare it to the insurance quote you received from your homeowners policy, any negotiation of pricing, whereby the money being distributed to you for the replacement of your roof isn't used for those services is essentially insurance fraud and we do not participate in those types of practices. We won't apologize for our higher standards, but wish you well with your roof replacement.

  Downspouts NOT covered SO with the next 2 rains we had Nails on our Driveway from the downspout that emptied onto it, thankfully i saw them before a flat tire !! Get your TOWN PERMIT BEFORE they start work. Our 3rd Roof with this company. We Truly like the people/Company. The last 2 Roofs they went to War with our Insurance Company and got Magnificent Results !!, this year they gave us the number to Justice Public Adjusters out of Charlotte to help with the claim…. NOT IMPRESSED!! Knocked out the roof in one long day(2300sq ft ranch-@40squares I believe). Majority of workers recently up from Mexico, we conversed in Spanish. Awesome Work Ethic from these Men and very friendly, we shared a couple beers as I helped In the evening with the cleanup, best cleanup of the 3 jobs . Would i go out of my way to recommend them?, Not anymore….. Call Charleston Exteriors !!!! A work permit is included in your bill, you paid for it, ensure you get it. I was asked for FINAL payment Before receiving the Permit. I was sent a copy after saying ‘No’ to the payment until Permit received…. ‘Scheduling Issue/confusion’ was the excuse. The Company Used to be Much More Proactive helping You battle the Insurance company. The Public Adjusters promote around a 90% success rate at getting your roof paid for, they just can’t tell you How Long it Could Take !!, we had 2 Active Leaks and were months into it when they wanted to send it to another Party for Litigation!!!!!.. WTH?!? Roofing 101 :: 1)Clean the Gutters. 2)Plug the Downspouts to prevent clogging(I had to Disassemble a Downspout as it had plugged with a chunk of the Foam from the cushions the workers use on the roof…. Gggrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!) Call Charleston Exteriors !!!

  I am back on this date to add an addendum regarding my previous review left here a little over a year ago. Yes, it has been deleted, as the owner, Blake Miller, called me and asked that I'd delete it after they'd sent over a company to "repair" my patio, and after he sent a $200 Amazon gift card. I am a very fair person, so I had no problem doing that, especially considering that even after having to write a review here and on Facebook, they "corrected" the issue. Moving on to August 25, 2023, I contacted this company via email, as well as certified mail and provided photos (see attached), of where the work was done, and how the concrete dressing placed over the stain was now peeling and chipping. After a month, on September 25, 2023, Blake Miller and "Seth", the Aredx representative were to meet me at my home to look at the work and see about repairing it, per Martin Summer, the Controller. Blake Miller showed up here alone, only to offer me $300, to make it right, and that would be it. I delightfully declined and advised that I wanted my patio to be restored back to the state in which his crew found it and that didn't happen, hence the reason, the material was now chipping and it back to looking HORRIBLE. He left with the promise that his office would contact me. In the interim, I had a concrete expert come out to take a look and provide me with a free estimate. The expert advised that the Ardex dressing is a great product, however, was not applied properly, hence the reason its in the present state of cracking/peeling and will continue to do so. I emailed a copy of the estimate to the Charleston Roofs + Windows team, and received the response, that the initial "repair" was done in "good faith" and they would not be repairing the area. This review is being left because the moral and ethics of this company is EXTREMELY POOR... how do you come to someone's home, destroy their property, and then not want to fix it the RIGHT way? Mr. Miller prefers to throw out little

  Dear Johnette, Unfortunately, we had an accident onsite (no harm to anyone involved) that caused some damage to an outdoor patio area. Although it took more time that we’d hoped to resolve the issue, our team eventually hired outside help to recoat the patio and repaired the fence. Not all construction projects go exactly to plan, but our team worked diligently to make it right.

  Quite pleased with the work. Workers were always on time and friendly. Near the end of the job, smaller things needed to be done but majority of workers were sent to another job. Think that all should have been completed prior to some leaving.
